"A Fool's Paradise" from their album V: The New Mythology Suite is great. It incorporates some excerpts from Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in D Minor in the neoclassical section. Basically all of their stuff from The Odyssey and before have more neoclassical influence. Paradise Lost onward not so much, but still great music. Michael Romeo's solo stuff is also really good, with his most recent album War of the Worlds. "Djinn" is probably my favorite track from there. Hope to see some videos from you on some of these songs, but more importantly, I hope you enjoy them!

Russell Allen is my favorite male vocalist. Symphony X is criminally underexposed on YT, thank you for doing one of their tunes! Most of their best stuff is audio only because they've been around a long time!
Their "symphonic" comes from keyboards imitating symphonies, mainly, but that doesn't make the songs any less. Some suggestions for Symphony X:
The Odyssey (Note: this song is 24m long, and there's no video really, only album art, but I highly recommend it fwiw) - th-cam.com/video/MaN3pwBsRf8/w-d-xo.html

I was lucky enough to see Symphony X and Dream Theater both live within the span of three weeks of one another (2018). Mike Romeo is a very good guitarist and writes the absolute best riffs, but his live performance was not as polished as he is in the studio. He definitely flubbed a few of the more technical passages during the set.
I don't think John Petrucci missed a single note through the whole set with DT. That man must practice relentlessly. It was amazing to witness. The thing is, even though the DT show was more technically perfect from a musical standpoint, I had a lot more fun at the Symphony X concert. Their stage presence conveyed more passion and felt more true to the music.

it's downright criminal that Symphony X is so underrated, they're incredible and i love how they blend Classical Music with Hard Rock/Heavy Metal riffs, they turned me into a lover of Symphonic music.

If you're looking to hear their symphonic and prog influences, here are some suggestions. The 2000 concept album "V" is itself a long-form composition containing orchestral-sounding instrumentation themed according to the setting and story of the album; it's very much a symphony in style and format, with each song treated as a movement. If not listening to its entirety, songs from it I'd suggest listening to include Evolution, Fallen, Egypt, Lacrymosa, and The New Mythology. Some other suggestions for songs with strong symphonic/prog elements are Candlelight Fantasia, Masquerade, Lady of the Snow, The Relic, Sea of Lies, The Edge of Forever, and Through the Looking Glass. Awwwright!

I'm absolutely elated that you reviewed one of my favorite bands of all time and seem to be just as enthralled with them as I am! I see that you've done other videos of them, I'll have to watch those too. It's always interesting to hear your analysis. I would have liked to hear what you thought about how the vocals fit with the rest of the song. Honestly this is one of my favorite songs by them, it's like ear candy. 😍
Some other bands I think you should check out:
    * Mandroid Echostar- They've been compared to Protest the Hero as well as Coheed and Cambria but I think they really stand out on their own. They definitely have elements in common with both of those bands. Something about the lead singer's voice feels so unique to me, yeah it's Claudio-esque but ...not sure how to describe it, would love to hear your thoughts on the lead singer's voice! (Michael Ciccia).
    * Ihlo- specifically the song Reanimate. Very interesting song.
*Scar Symmetry- I've loved this band since high school. They've changed a lot, so I recommend listening to their older albums that had the singer Christian Alvestam. Symmetric in Design, Pitch Black Progress, and Holographic Universe.
*Skindred- They're Regga metal. Definitely need to listen to them!

Been a big fan of these guys for at least 20 years or so, one of the best symphonic metal bands out there. Michael Romeo is a fantastic composer/guitar player. The last couple albums have shifted heavier to a far more metal sound, and have less of the symphonic stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like it just fine, but I personally think they found the sweet spot on The Odyssey. I know the title track (on The Odyssey) is very long, but it's an incredible tour of the types of things they can do. Strongly recommend giving that a spin. As for my non-Symphony X recommendation, by this time, you know what's coming. :) Frost, the Dividing Line.

Symphony X is great. 'Paradise Lost' is their most refined and well rounded album in my opinion, while 'The Divine Wings of Tragedy' is more compositionally intriguing. Both are very much a must-listen.
Would love to see you react to some Toska. Either 'Chalk Teeth' for their more raw, DIY approach or 'When Genghis Wakes' for their full blown out production sound.

These guys are so absolutely insanely good! But for some reason they just don't seem to be able to have their big breakout, like for example Dream Theater did. I remember being super excited to see them at Wacken. I was almost as excited to see them, as I was for something like Iron Maiden. And then the concert starts, and they didn't even had a banner or any sort of stage decoration. It was just basically the band. It felt so weird, since these guys are basically incredible musicians with an expansive and rich discography, but playing with the budget of a local band. Their discography is just asking for amazing theatrical performances, with extra musicians and awesome arrangements.
Don't get me wrong, the concert was amazing regardless! But I just couldn't feel like there should have been so much more than just the music.
