Awesome video mate, very informative. Just wondering where you ordered/ got your parts from. I'm interested in doing a project like this myself. Cheers Mate!
Got all my parts off ebay. Rods were from golebys in QLD, the pistens were TIEKEN fron NZ and the rings are from NSW somwhere. Ebay stuff is good aslong as it isnt from china (accept turbos)
@@ebayenthusiast42 Thanks for the info, many people say steer away from ebay parts but i guess they're referring to the imported chinese stuff. Cheers!
@@lloydcollins4706 id say just be careful with ebay stuff. Il have to learn my lesson the hard way since ive had and hear of good luck with these turbos. They are cheap but pretty robust.
@@ebayenthusiast42 Did you go for oversized pistons or just the standard sized ones, also how and when should you go for oversized pistons. My lux is healthy at 330,000 km but i'm looking to rebuild her before 400
@@lloydcollins4706 i threw in stock sized pistons. You should go oversized if your bores measure out of round, unsure of the allowable tolerance. Its a pain going oversize since you have to take the block to a shop for them to get bored oversize to the piston diameter
Solid video appreciation it greatly
Good Job, very informative for a 22re guy, thanks
thanks mate, first engine bild ive ever done and its not knocking yet so i must have done something right.
