The thing I miss most is the Twin Towers coming into view once you passed the Williamsburg Bridge. That was a classic sight going into lower Manhattan on my commute to my job down there. Seems like yesterday.
I love these videos. Instead of actually driving and dealing with the annoyances of NYC driving, I can watch from my armchair. I also have been living in FL for the past 15 years, which I don't regret, but sometimes I miss these kind of sights.
Usually I overlook the area via the live NYC Brooklyn Bridge & Manhattan cam when I feel like it and have a short time to relax, but in the middle of it and with this great quality and view it is of course much better! Thank you for this great video!

And in fact the movies and TV shows that you see based in New York City aren’t even filmed in NYC, just look at the show Suits for example, it’s filmed in Toronto

There are much better cities in the US that are actually worth visiting like Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, San Diego, Seattle, and even Miami to name a few.

They put more funding on sidewalks than roads because most New Yorkers don’t drive but It should be equal spending because there are a lot of potholes and bumps which it should be repaired
@@davidsandy7688 As a trucker I've never had to drive through the NY streets only the George Washington Bridge which costs me $132.00 one way. With all the cars and trucks that cross all those bridges and have to pay you would think they would use the money to fix those potholes but apparently they don't.

All the other truckers tell me the horror stories of driving through NY, potholes, bumpy streets, and uneven bridge heights. I want no parts of it if I'm in a truck but wouldn't mind in a car.
It's so weird, but parts of this reminded me of parts of the Riverside Expressway in Brisbane, Australia. That freeway is much shorter, but still has some of the old colonial buildings and stone walls. Though thankfully, we don't get the snow... Very best wishes and stay safe.
No wonder NYC traffic is always so congested!! Those small (decades out of date) freeways 🙀🙀 That would be a BEAST to upgrade though!! BUT still if my license weren’t suspended (🤬) I would of DEFINITELY made the 12hr trip from LexingtonKY to just drive around NYC during the COVID vacation break LOL
This town has changed so much since I lived there .. just Nissans .. Mazdas .. BMWs .. not a single Chevy Caprice (best am car ever) or Pontiac Bonneville neither ..
