This is specifically what Guido wanted - not sure if you remember the conversation last episode. With it any higher, the gap between the mattress and the tapestry, visible through the headboard, made it feel less cosy. 😊
I think the curtains are just not opulent enough. You have a beautiful rich tapestry behind bed and heavily patterned rug but the curtains are just too thin and insignificant for your bedroom. I'd put them in the bathroom and invest in heavy statement curtains they are letting the room down.

IMO, an antique previously gilded mirror that has dulled with age would be beautiful over the fireplace, with a small collection of antiqued candle holders in various heights. Lamps are the absolute worse to select. I myself have had to switch out lamps after just a few months because they are not right. Take your time, you have them fr a long time! Such an incredibly lovely episode! The tapestry behind your master bed is lovely, the rich forest with all of the deep colours and mystery is perfect. Personally, I love the white and taupe coloured drapes and I think they are lovely for year round, maybe the forest green drapes could be for winter. Gianfranco is adorable, smart and is such as old soul, he just seems to know just what to do and get's at it, especially for his age. Above your bedroom fireplace, I feel like it would be incredible to see a painted picture of you, Guido and Gianfranco framed. If it’s a reputable auction site they should check for this - but it’s always worth asking before you buy. I believe a tapestry created as a lush garden landscape with a ground floor and faint distant horizon, all encased within a decorative border is meant to be viewed as a painting. So, in my humble opinion, as it's not a repeating patterned wallpaper, it begs to be fully seen. I found myself trying to see behind the metal headboard to see it all. Perhaps hanging it higher, and just below the ceiling beams,, since the ceilings don't look especially tall, would really showcase its incredible craftsmanship. Just a thought... I am often without thinking speaking in italian with my youngest of three daughters Alice or call her Alice the italian way. I grew up in Switzerland always had a strong connection to the southern italian speaking part of Switzerland and Italy. Spent longer times in Australia and New Zealand. I don't really know what attracts me to your videos, it might be a mixture of you talking about life, seeing parts, admiring your renovations, we have the same floor (red tiles) in our entrance, recepies.... The white drapes look better and you can keep them for the warm weather and or change them this the other for the colder seasons if you don’t have another place to use them. The lamps should match and be more modern and the sides table should be the same height even if the don’t match. That chair warms up the room and is a great choice. Above the fireplace you can get a beautiful nature painting with a minimalist frame or abit more simple, or even a rod iron piece that will match the headboard and the bathroom tile design . A taller, narrow mirror over the fireplace will give an airy feel, and of course reflections of Tuscany. Cleverly placed, and they can be black and white, vertical photo/print with an smaller horizontal in front, a small clock centred and two plants on either side, will distract those who don't want to see themselves but also allow those who love a mirror, a mirror. I'm glad you're keeping both sets of curtains - love the white as it allows the rug and tapestry to shine. Lastly, a fresh white modern Empire shade (smaller top aperture and larger bottom aperture - for decorative lighting) behind your armchair will make your bedroom more feminine as well as truly Italian. This room will be on par with the sitting/dining room. Outstanding.

in italian with my youngest of three daughters Alice or call her Alice the italian way.
I grew up in Switzerland always had a strong connection to the southern italian speaking part of Switzerland and Italy. Spent longer times in Australia and New Zealand.
I don't really know what attracts me to your videos, it might be a mixture of you talking about life, seeing parts, admiring your renovations, we have the same floor (red tiles) in our entrance, recepies....
You are a true artician, I see all the work and effort that goes in with your videos, and of course all that lays behind.

Hi Kylie, your bedroom is coming together beautifully ! The white drapes look better and you can keep them for the warm weather and or change them this the other for the colder seasons if you don’t have another place to use them. The lamps should match and be more modern and the sides table should be the same height even if the don’t match. That chair warms up the room and is a great choice. Above the fireplace you can get a beautiful nature painting with a minimalist frame or abit more simple, or even a rod iron piece that will match the headboard and the bathroom tile design . Your videos are beautiful ! Watching that boy around you and your family , growing and learning , it warms my heart! Happy to see you created your beautiful life the way you dreamed it!

I love the white/copper curtains fort spring and summer. I love the green for fall/winter. I think I'd be driven to keep both and change them out every six months.
The white curtains are really exceptional - absolutely love them and they make a perfect fit for the room. Also, just wanted to mention that you are the perfect example of children picking up on behaviours and mimicking them. A huge thank you to our viewer who told you about the tapestry up for auction x It is beautiful, and even more special because of its story. A taller, narrow mirror over the fireplace will give an airy feel, and of course reflections of Tuscany. Cleverly placed, and they can be black and white, vertical photo/print with an smaller horizontal in front, a small clock centred and two plants on either side, will distract those who don't want to see themselves but also allow those who love a mirror, a mirror.
I'm glad you're keeping both sets of curtains - love the white as it allows the rug and tapestry to shine. Lastly, a fresh white modern Empire shade (smaller top aperture and larger bottom aperture - for decorative lighting) behind your armchair will make your bedroom more feminine as well as truly Italian.
This room will be on par with the sitting/dining room. Outstanding.
