Hello! Below is the recipe. Just a note to warn you that every week this channel seems to be riddled with fake 'Kylie Flavell' accounts commenting with my photo and often asking people for their phone number or bank account details to pay for shipping gifts or to chat on Telegram. I will never ask you for any of these details - not in a private chat, nor in the comments section. I don't even have a Telegram account. The only way to support my work is through Patreon.com/KylieFlavell . My TH-cam and my Instagram accounts are both verified, which means you will see a little tick beside my name to prove it's the official 'Kylie Flavell' account. I try to block these trolls and scammers but they outnumber me and leave hundreds of fake comments every week across all my 250 videos, so it takes a while to manually report them. Thanks for your patience. NOW THE RECIPE! LEMON TART Mix 1.5 cups of plain flour with 3 tablespoons of icing sugar or fine sugar. Cut 90grams of butter into cubes and work into the flour with fingertips. Mix in two egg yolks and if your dough isn’t compact and sticking together in a ball after working it with your hands, add a teaspoon of water. Cover and leave to rest for an hour. Prepare the filling by mixing juice and zest of 6 lemons with 10 tablespoons of white sugar. Beat 6 eggs and add to the mixture through a sieve so your filling remains smooth. Mix in 200ml of cream and put the filling to rest in the fridge. Meanwhile, grease a tart pan with butter and line the bottom with baking paper. Roll out your dough and press firmly into the corners to make a nice compact and neat edge. You can put this back in the fridge to set a little more for a half hour before carefully spooning the filling in with a ladle. Cook in a preheated oven at 180degrees C for 35 minutes. I like to cover my tart with aluminium foil for the last 15 minutes. It will be quite fragile when first out of the oven so wait 30 minutes before removing the pan. I like to leave my tart in the fridge to set for a day or at least a few hours. Serve with whipped cream!
Of course, I'll report fraud accounts from the Comment Sections of your films. This happens across TH-cam Channels. Once an actual Subscriber notices this activity it is easy to begin to "Report It". I have been made aware of what fraud accounts look like by Subscribers in numerous Channel's Comment Sections. Hopefully, this is soon dealt with fully. I love the TH-cam Comment Section of Content Creators, and wish to protect it so to enjoy it! Thank-you for this channel! Blessings! 💙🦋💙
I love to make lemon tarts and all your meals looked amazing. Your dad looks so handsome, I see where you get your beautiful smile from. Your parents are so kind and caring so you couldn’t not be too. Happy birthday to your dad. Kylie you are looking very well and in good physical shape after having your sweet baby. So precious to see you with him. It must have been hard to say good bye for awhile to your mom and dad. They will miss being with you all especially Gian Franco. It is definitely artistry in laying tile correctly. They are so beautiful. He was a nice looking man. The bathtub area is looking wonderful too. How very sad for that lady to lose her precious baby for lack of care by those nurses or health care workers. Hopefully things will change . I can’t understand why those nurses can be so hateful in a field that is supposed to be a beautiful Al around moments for mothers and families . I think there is something so satisfying hand squeezing and zesting lemons. Your tart looks delicious. Guido is in his element in the garden. I could never get tired of those magnificent views that surround you. The church is beautiful and I wonder if you ever just go into it to pray or sit awhile and reflect on all that has happened in the past two yrs. Your home is coming along nicely. Your dads handiwork will last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. Keep smiling and love to you all. ❤❤❤❤❤
If you have another baby, please consider Switzerland. Their behavior is unconscionable. Sophia Loren who had problems conceiving, spent 9 months in the hospital lying down most of the time. I don’t know what their procedures are today, but when I lived in Europe, mothers spent one week in the hospital learning how to take care of her baby and recuperating from giving birth. Happy Birthday to your handsome father! He doesn’t look his age at all. I am so happy you have your father there. Sending my love with hugs! P.S. Your bathroom looks beautiful!
The Bathroom is looking beautiful. The man that put the tiles in is a Master at it. Prayers for the Mother who lost her child. I also hope that there is some sort of the organization started to protect women going through the birth experience. If you should file a claim against the hospital you were in, think of it as a gift not only for others, but also for yourself if you should decided to have another child. Lastly, Happy Birthday to your dad!
So proud of you so standing up for other women. And I was so saddened to hear your after birth story. You are a strong and and an amazing power woman!!
Your Dad looks fabulous for 78 would never have guessed it. Such a beautiful property and view you have. Finally the remodel is progressing and looks lovely.
"Waiting for a better offer". Incredibile! The world is going to hell in a handcart. Your experience at the hospital is an eye-opener, and all the more astonishing that it's in Italy which has the reputation for being ultra family orientated. I think it's a trend everywhere. Less caring, less humanity. More concentratio on power, money. On a more positive note your house renovation's fabulosa. Auguri🎉 viva la bellezza e l'umanita. Baci a voi due.
I just want you to know that you are so incredibly loved and your community want to hold and support you with whatever you decide to do as far as speaking out about the abuses happening within Italian hospitals. I can see the shadow fall over you energetically as you recount the events. I hope that you have someone to speak to about these events and processing them. They are horrific and something no person, let alone new mother should experience. I want to send you healing energy and well wishes as your beautiful boy continues to grow, and as you are continuing on this journey of healing and motherhood. Also, your recipe videos are always so mouthwatering. Thank you for continuing to share even in the midst of so much happening.
@@KylieFlavell I agree with @YourFriendAyana. I am in the US but I had a severe, traumatic birth event as well as even 13 almost 14 years later I think of it and it upsets me. I wish I had given myself permission to explore it more and perhaps heal some of the trauma. I just want you to know you are not alone.
@@KylieFlavell It will be time consuming and ongoing but persist for yourself, your family and all the women of Italy treated so horribly...its midievil ....or actually not, a midwife would have watched out for you before and after.
Dear Kylie, I finally convinced my husband to move to Italy. Your videos did the last convincing. Thank you for showing us that one can also feel home in other places in the world. I go to Italy to celebrate and cry all my milestones and losses, therefore couldn't help but ask myself, why don't live here anyway. Living in Austria now, so it shouldn't be that difficult. I am sooooo excited. Started to rewatch your move to Italy series and will try to stay put until we are really truly ready for the move. Thank you Thank you. Haven't finished the video but I love it as usual already. The kitchen turned out exactly what I had in my dreams too. So gorgeous and authentic. Liked before watching because I know your videos just can't be bad
@lissettedeleon2949 Lisette dear, just because someone else feels at home in Italy that doesn't mean that you will feel as well. Don't forget that Kylie has an Italian family on her husband's side. She spent years there previously, with her husband they speak two common languages. Why do you want to give up everything you achieved in Austria? Do you have own experience of the Italian lifestyle? Do any of you two speak the language? Do you have a place to move in? What job would you do? If you have only affirmative answers they will help to avoid any later disappointment. If you don't have them think it over thousand times. I am an older, experienced person. I have lived in Italy (in other countries too) for long weeks, speak well Italian (some other languages too). I love visit the country, its beauties, have many native friends there. But why to move there? Everyone I belong to and love is here around me. Why should I change? "Tutto mondo è un paese" - say an Italian saying. It means that "All world is a (same) country". I hope I didn't hurt you with my comment. Well, good luck to your decision and all the best to you both.
So if the whole world is one country she will be fine in Italy. She doesn’t need to have everything to start a new life. Austria isn’t that far from Italy. She should follow her dreams if she can
So sad to hear the health care system does not have safety check and balance. Your home is coming out beautiful. I’m so glad to see your mom and dad are still there. Happy belated birthday to your dad. God bless him with many more years. Such a blessing.
Your dad looks amazing for 78 Kylie!! Happy Birthday to him! Your bathroom is just exquisite - with the finishing touches it will be out of this world. It was worth the wait! I love the baby lemon tree in your garden, it’s so pretty. I have no words to describe the nursing staff in Rome whose lack of humanity led to that baby’s death. Such things shouldn’t be happening in 2023 for goodness sake. It’s worse than medieval times. I really hope some radical changes take place immediately. Thank you for your heavenly videos. Have a beautiful weekend❤💝💗
So happy to see you and lovely family. 35 years later and I still remember the rude nurse when i called for help at a Chicago hospital where I had my daughter. I told my gynecologist and she set the nurse straight. So do what you have to do. I'm sure you'll be graceful and tactful.
I was stunned to hear your experience giving birth in the hospital. Given what women go through, and the sacrifices they make, emotionally, mentally, and physically to birth the next generation, we should make birthing the most celebrated and supported experience. Every woman should be able to have whomever she wants in attendance, the birthing rooms should be built to accommodate family throughout, and the doctors and nursing staff should be chosen for their competence, compassion, proven ability to ensure the birth is the best experience possible. It is particularly ironic that Italy has a rapidly declining birth rate. No wonder women don’t want to be mothers in Italy. Mothers are truly saints. 🙏❤️
I've never heard of such an horrific story about giving birth in Italy. I've lived there most of my life and I'm shocked about this. I would take these people to court or they will continue their dastardly deeds 😢
I think you and your friends are so brave to take on the hospital to protect future birthing women! Maybe for some it might seem easy to do, but personally I find it incredibly difficult to put pen to paper a past trauma or face my abuser. I think many Italian women who feel like this will be so grateful to those who are strong enough to fight. Bless you all!!! ❤️ Your bathroom is looking amazing, I really loved seeing the progress and watching the tiler work.
So sorry to hear about the woman who lost her baby. Those nurses and doctors have that baby’s life on their hands. You are very brave to speak out. I pray that God will be with you. Your home is lovely! The bathroom and kitchen are amazing.
Oh dear Kylie, I was one of those women who had a difficult time with your birth story. It had been a long time since I had cried so hard out of frustration for you and your precious son. As a retired nurse I was ashamed that any nursing colleague could ever be so cruel and am saddened to hear it is common place. So proud that you are standing up for other women. Your new bathroom is fabulous. Sending hugs and strength.
Dear Kylie, after sharing your hospital experience, I just wanted to pause a moment to give you a hug. ❤ Before moving onto your lovely pastry, to tell you how well you did! I’m so glad that you and your beautiful family are healthy and enjoying life again in the refuge you have created.
Hi Kylie, I just returned to Canada last week from a 3 month vacation in Italy. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised by how little evidence of the pandemic there was, (we seldom saw masks and when we did it was mostly on the elderly and at mass on Sunday parishioners didn’t shake hands but nodded and smiled instead when wishing one another peace, otherwise things seemed very normal) which is why I can’t understand why the hospitals still don’t allow a woman to have her partner, mother or a friend with her. I feel such sorrow for the woman in Rome. I hope changes are achieved soon. P.S. your bathroom is very beautiful 💚
Greetings from America. I stumbled upon your channel and find you to be so authentic and charming. I love your life and beautiful home . I would love to live in Italy someday .
Happy birthday dad! It’s easy to be a happy 78 yr old when you raised the greatest daughters and grandson. Hope Gianni realizes how lucky he is to be raised with all those desserts 😀
I'm so glad you have your parents there for support. You've been through a traumatic event. I hope the Italian people rise up and demand change. It is not only cruel treatment but dangerous. That poor mother. I hope you are able to sleep better soon. I can't imagine how you do everything you accomplish. Thank you for another beautiful video. Sending hugs.
What a lovely family! Your dad looks amazing! But I am shocked to learn that Italians find it acceptable to not commit to an invitation to dine - especially with YOU! But as to the horrifying experience you had in the hospital, and the catastrophic loss of that other woman’s baby in the hospital, there must be a national outcry and fundamental change. It’s ironic because the birth rate in Italy is already very low, and I can understand that stories such as yours and others who have suffered at the hands of these cruel nurses, must surely discourage people from having babies.
La sanità italiana è fra le migliori al mondo, purtroppo quello che è successo potrebbe capitare in qualsiasi altro posto, certamente ci di deve adoperare affinché non succeda più
As an Italian I can say there's a bit of a generalization here, I always plan dinner in advance with all my friends.. And about the hospital experience it was horrible, unfortunately it can happen anywhere.. Italy's health system is usually rated very high (I've lived in other countries so I can also compare my experiences). Dont't take one's experience as the overall truth :)
It happen in the hospitals all over the world..not only in Italy.I gave birth to my two sons here in Italy, and I really got the best treatment❣️The italians love family birthday celebrations with friends and relatives..as what I observed..living in Lombardy..and in the Southern part where I used to take my vacation
@@elba6313 Kylie herself experienced that horrible treatment…she described it it in another episode..and she loves Italy and is so gracious about everything, so it is not a biased report…and she says here that many women came forward reporting the same treatment.. Perhaps it is limited to that one particular hospital?
Kylie your father gets a thumbs up too for the magnificent workmanship on the doors! I will pray your parents get the visa sorted out very very soon so that they can once again be with you all. Good parents are marvelous and of course indispensable.
So sorry to hear about that lady in the hospital who lost her baby. It defenitely is time for change and I wish you and the other moms lots of love and the will to try and and make the change. Thanks for sharing your beautiful bathroom's progress and your family. Keep well and be strong.
Dear Kylie, if you only knew how good your videos make us feel! We can't wait for the next one to come! Thank you so much for trying very hard to share your beautiful life with us in the midst of your busy schedule, we truly appreciate it my dear!
Thank you for promoting how wonderful it is to be a woman, lover and a mother...satisfying and being so appreciated for all you give , you receive back many times over. A lesson all little gals looking to the future should be shown. Your home is becoming so beautiful with all the efforts and vision you have for your life. I congratulate you.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful bathroom! You’ve created a timeless masterpiece, with your material choices and the Craftspeople you’ve sourced. Thank you for sharing your process. Wishing you a lifetime of joy there🕊🤍
Happy birthday to your dad! A youthful 78! I am 65 the 24th. Your baking skills are phenomenal. I love anything lemon! I hope that your speaking out will help with the dreadful hospital situation!! Just glad you and babe are fine. Blessings to the poor lady who has to live with the loss of her babe. Your bathroom is beyond words! Thank you for your time and talent.
Oh my how exciting I love to grill!. I would be so annoyed if they didn’t show up 😮I’m Mexican and most are not good with planning, but if we say we’re coming we’re coming maybe not at the exact time we were asked to come, but an hour later we’re there! It’s unbelievable how they treat labor and delivery there😢 Everything looks delicious ❤
Guido really is knowledgeable about plants. The baby has really grown, he is so cute. It breaks my heart to hear how horribly women are being treated by medical staff. It's a very disturbing situation. I hope their is some resolution to this problem soon.
I feel like we should encourage her to use her influence and her horrific birth story to rally & March. I will happily contribute to this cause if she need $ for an attorney. Surely there are more cases of neglect & abuse. I hope the international press becomes aware of this horrific woman’s story and her baby’s death. You would think the bare minimum response from hospitals would be to hire CNA STAFF WHO COULD HELP A MOM IN HER ROOM. Appalling that they don’t allow anyone in the room including a husband. It is abusive and so sad.
Sorry, what exactly happened with the baby? Here in Hungary, the women also do not get the appropriate treatment while giving birth.... There are so much problems with the health care system...
Kylie, you’re in such a unique position to address the horrors you experienced in your birthing experience, heart wrenching as it is to hear about your struggle and the other woman’s tragic loss of her child, you have a very public format to impact the situation. I hadn’t visited your channel for some time, it was a pleasure spending time in the kitchen with you. 💖 my prayers are with you dear one.
Thank you Kylie so much for the recipe. I bought a bag of lemons but I think my tart pan is too small? What SIZE TART PAN did you use??🙏 I look forward to trying your recipe! Thank you again…
I’m sorry to hear about your horrible experience in the hospital. It was so hurtful to hear but I’m so happy that everything went well with you and your baby.
I m so sorry you had this horrible treatment i m italian but i live in england for over 30 years i m glad you talking about it please do make a complain is important
Would you be interested in sharing in the future where you get your clothes from or if you make them yourself? I absolutely love your wardrobe and it would be fun to watch a lookbook or wardrobe haul in a rustic way haha
Kylie, we're still flabbergasted at your nightmarish hospital experience. Your story shocked and saddened us. Your voice while mentioning it says a great deal. Truly incredible. On a happier note, your Dad looks great and he does 78 very proud. Best wishes to him. Guido looks like a proud and content father and husband. He looks healthy. And finally, seeing your precious son's hand is touching.
Kylie, please keep us posted on whatever you decide to do about the horrific treatment of new mothers in the hospital. I would very much like to support the efforts to improve hospital conditions in the birth and maternity wards. Grazie
I think more women need to advocate for this , l had my own traumatic birth experience in American Hospital. We should talk about this abuse and make more aware of it. I thought it was me until much later l realized l was also mistreated . Thanks for being brave Kylie and speaking of this issue
I love to watch the beautiful life that you and Guido have crafted out of small things and precious moments. Your home is a paradise built from love. 💗💗💗
I missed watching your channel, your esthetics, hearing your soft voice... - you are an inspiration for not getting bitter and angrier due to the unfortunate events that took place with you and being true to the kind , sensitive, sensual self. Wishing you and your beautiful family best of health and happiness 😊!!!
Thank you, Kylie, for continuing to delight us with your cooking, your style, your beautiful light. Your bathroom looks stunning already, even without the faucets. Sad to see your parents leave. Will miss seeing your handsome dad and his amazing craftsmanship. Much love to you and thank you.
Thank you Kylie for your videos! You are such an inspiration. Your baby is growing up fast and is so cute!!!! Your Dad looks amazing at 78! “78 and feeling great”! We’re going to miss seeing glimpses of your parents in your videos. They are wonderful, caring and so creative like you and Guido. Praying for their safety as they travel back to their home. Also praying for safety for you and your little family.🤗❤️
The bathroom is a work of art. Very beautiful, authentic, and carefully designed. Your father is a gem with his woodworking skills. You make lovely things from what is right there. The love and care show. Guido is working hard to get the garden / crops just so. And your tart looks divine. You have a lovely way about you, Kylie, a genuine person. How you make everything by hand is incredible. Beautiful video. Thank you !
Regarding the friends that show or decline to visit - cooking from what you do have in your pantry or garden - is a more casual meal than a planned hosted meal, And places more emphasis on the company at the table. You are a good cook no matter what you cook.
The bathroom looks amazing. What a beautiful job they did on the tiles. Giancarlo is growing so beautifully and fast. You will be able to sleep again, soon. I am so sorry to hear of the new Mom who had a similar experience as you, but with a tragic result. That hospital is culpable as well as the nurses who are supposed to take care of the new mom's. All of Italy should be outraged and things need to change in that aspect. It's so tragic.
Kylie, meraviglioso! This time my tears are not just from the beauty but also from the news of your parents' departure! Wishing them well. And grazie infinite!!!
Dear Kylie, what a beautiful bath. Not only the fantastic, admirable workmanship but also the fact that you and Guido have selected and designed so carefully all the materials, every single piece. This is what gives your home the soul we feel even though we are not on sight just through the videos thanks of course to your art of filming. Regarding your lack of sleep I feel so sorry for you. You really should try the „Windsalbe“ I recommended. It is a great, natural product on the basis of cumin which is used here in Germany to help babies with intestinal problems!
Kylie….I’m obsessed with your home! ❤️ That bathroom is looking absolutely spectacular! It should be in a décor magazine! The workmanship is truly incredible. I know your finishing touches will be the icing on the cake. Speaking of cake…..Happy Birthday to your Dad! We can all only hope and pray to be that healthy and vibrant at 78! Thanks for allowing us to escape to Life in Tuscany once a week. It’s always exciting to see your videos pop up on TH-cam. 😘
Happy birthday to dear dad!🎂 The ruin is nicely progressing along. Guido is one lucky man and smart to have won your heart. Not only have you brightened up the entire estate, but your dear father is worth his weight in gold. Regarding the treatment in the hospital- I hope you consider finding a home nurse that will be there for you when you decide to have more babies. Best to all of you from USA 🇺🇸
A home birth midwife is a wonderful idea. I think, on a national scale, there would have to be professional insurance issues sorted out....but if it means women getting the care they so deserve.
Hi Kylie, I am writing to share about Coffee Grounds and how they benefit your Lemon Tree - and all trees - and your Vegetable Garden. After making coffee set aside your used coffee grounds - spread them at the base of your Lemon Tree and see it grow and flourish! You will see greener leaves - and it may produce more Lemons too! Also, you haven't spoken of composting for the garden - and you probably already know this - but it works wonders to help the plants live healthier lives and produces more flavor in your produce. There is more to share - I am so very happy I found you on TH-cam. I am Norwegian Italian and my Mother's Mother was fully Italian. She taught us about Italian cuisine but we were too young to appreciate some of it. Now that I am older I am in love with Italian Cuisine. Watching your TH-cam Channel is like coming home to who I really am. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us all. You are a beautiful and strong woman who has a very special way of expressing your self. Your cinematography is exceptional! This is my first comment - and I can see I should be verified - I have not done this - but I will. Sending much love from Santa Fe, NM USA! With love, Lori Hanson (A Native Californian) 🙂🩷✨️
Apart from the devastating baby story, every minute of this episode was exquisite .. The Italian spontaneity for Vita sounds wonderful .Your bathroom is a stunning compliation of beautiful artisanship.
Hello ! I am with you! These nurses are horrible! Thank you very much for sharing with all of us your adventure ! Bisous from Alsace. Take care and stay safe ! 🥇🎉😘🍰🍰🍰
Your recipes & creations always look so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing them. I wondered if you'd seen that horrific case with the poor woman in Rome - it astounds me that people would choose to work in such a profession when they're so nasty, spiteful, & vindictive. A few women I follow online that live in Italy have had similar birth experiences, so it was a reminder to all about how close it could have been them having such a tragic & preventable loss. Happy Birthday to your dad! I bet you're really going to miss having your family around for support, especially if you're still barely getting any sleep. Fingers crossed they can return sooner than the 6 months. Sorry that your friends didn't turn up - they definitely missed out! 💜
Sweet Kylie the experience you had at the hospital as you are explaining it sounds like pstd I hope you sue them! So happy your being proactive you will possibly be saving lives! Arizona USA 🇺🇸
I'm so sorry to hear of your experience giving birth. That breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes. No one should be treated like that. I'm so proud of you for speaking out. Your videos are such a treat and you are such a calming presence. Wishing your family all the best and sending so much support your way ❤️
Wow! So happy I stumbled upon this video. Have been secretly considering a move, overseas. The properties I'm viewing, or the ones I love most, have been similarly rustic, bordering on ruins, with gorgeous views. So, naturally... Italy. Also, I love to garden so Italy has become the choice I never knew I was considering. I've been searching for just the right thing, for almost 2 years. Seeing that someone else has done it, and seems to love, gives inspiration. Thank you for sharing! I'm eager to go back and watch from the beginning. :) Also, I SO appreciate your honesty. It's refreshing to hear people who are just as real, revealing authentic experiences. If I move overseas, I'll sadly be leaving a long relationship. Separating from someone who comes from a culture, or family, where speaking Truth is simply not allowed. Anyone who speaks up is shamed, ridiculed, then gaslighted. No wonder I'm ready to move far away, right? Anyway... thank you so very much for speaking up and revealing your truth. You do a fantastic job of incorporating the reality of things into the beauty you're creating. For those considering a move, it's important to hear it all. I'm deeply saddened you had to experience such dis-compassion during a time that should have been magical. I applaud your strength. It's admirable that you're able to share these hardships while still staying focused on the positive aspects of the experiences. I'm told this is called resilience. It's that rare quality which keeps people going strong through adversity. You've got this! Clearly. What a slice of heaven you're creating, there. Peace be with you... (also, I'm making the lemon tart. pronto :)
3-1-23 U.S.A. Such a lovely video! My favorite scenes are always of you in the kitchen creating homemade comforting meals and having a chat with your audience. It makes us feel as though we're sitting around the table with you having a nice conversation with a dear friend. Having your family in the video is another favorite. It's so nice to see you all sharing a good meal and spending time together. It's beautiful to see the love you have for each other and the support you give each other. I'm still hoping one day I'll see a Kylie Flavell cookbook!🙂🤞
What a lovely update on you and your blessed family, Kylie. Although my life in the USA (when raising three small children) was somewhat different, there are many similarities and watching your video brought back many memories of trying to renovate our home while parenting our precious children when they were very young. They are grown now (age 23, 21, and 21) and I am headed to Florence for two weeks in a few days for a fun solo trip. Will study portraiture with a local art studio in Florence and will do many day trips using Florence as my home base. Although the city is filled with amazing restaurants, I plan to cook in my AirBnb using lovely local ingredients and will try many of your recipes you have shared on this channel.Blessings to you and your lovely family!
Hello Kylie!😊 First and foremost I want to say that you have a beautiful family. I have just discovered your TH-cam videos, and I’ve falling in love with your so many talents, sincerity and beauty. Although you had to go through such a very difficult experience to give birth to your beautiful baby, all was worth to now embrace that bundle of joy he is. Since I found your videos I’ve been binge watching, and I can tell you that at the age of 58 I’m learning a lot from you. You’re doing a great job with your lovely home, can’t wait to see your next video! Lots of love Ana❤️
Kylie I can’t tell you how much I love following you on TH-cam - yes, I’m a very late TH-camr and now as a Baby Boomer I’m totally obsessed. It’s just so refreshing to see such a beautiful young woman such as yourself with such incredible insight, motivation, and totally embraces life !! How you’ve renovated your property with such integrity (to the past) is just beautiful. Your cooking - well that’s just another level !! No mod cons in your (amazing) kitchen and the beautiful produce from your beautiful garden. Gorgeous family, husband, Mum and Dad (OMG I can’t believe his recent birthday age - he looks incredible) and that beautiful baby boy♥️ I know life would also send you challenges, as you’ve been very open about, but I love your Joie de Vivre. 🙏
Kylie I love your vidros, in an increasingly dangerous dark world at the moment, they bring in sunshine, joy and hope, thank you for your work and looking forrward to the next videos.
Hello Kylie, Is sad to hear the pain you went through. It happens all over the world I guess for someone. I went through the same experience with my daughter 10 years ago on Christmas day in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Lucky non of us died. Its really good of you to open up like that.
The little peek of your sweet angel dis my heart good. What a doll! The bathroom looks amazing! Happy belated birthday to your Dad. He looks far from his age! ❤
Kylie, your dinner looked AMAZING....I LOVE how you just walk outside and pick a lemon, can't do that here in Chicago, lol... My heart drop's when you talk about the way they treated you in the hospital, it will come back to them...GOD BLESS YOU n' YOUR FAMILY... You inspired me today to make French bread, thank YOU! LOVE from Chicago P.S. LOVE the bathroom, AMAZING what you have done...
Oh Kylie, your master bathroom is sublime and so beautiful! The choice of the materials are so perfect for the house! And, I can almost taste your lemon tart...what a delightful finish for a meal of grilled fishes and vegetables.
Kylie, I’ve not written to you until now, but wanted to let you know how wonderfully and gracefully you have handled the past several months. I have been following your Italian journey for a couple of years now and with a daughter that has a TH-cam channel with almost 1M followers, I can understand how valuable your privacy can become. She, like you, has a very uplifting channel filled with class and quality that mothers and daughters can enjoy together. Wishing you happiness and peace of mind as you surround your family with love. Cathy WhileOliviaSleepsArt
Good to see your smiling face and at least part of baby' s profile. Love the bathroom tile and tub and sink. Next water hookup? Will be lovely to actually use it. Thanks for recipe. Sorry your parents have to head back. Next vacation you all can visit them. Your Dad does not look 78. More like 60 at most. Stay safe and healthy.
Hi Kylie , as always another beautiful video ..your story about the hospital and the way they treated you still fills me with horror , so I can only imagine how you must feel! I hope something gets done about it and some changes are made to the policies and procedures within the Italian medical systems . Much love to you , Guido and the little one from Qatar 🇶🇦
What a wonderful way to live! Lord I am pea green with jealousy! Now I know why you can not live in the villa in town. You already have a wonderful country home.
This is so incredibly beautiful, your renovations, your cooking, the outdoor grounds with Guido tending to the gardens and watering. I am simply overwhelmed by seeing people live the way we like to live as well here in Greensboro Vermont. It’s especially heartwarming for me as my partner and I also gutted and renovated an old farmhouse And follow the same kind of beauty of life that you have managed to do. And there are hardships. How devastated am I to hear about the treatment of new mothers and their birth experience in some of those hospitals. It must be stopped and I commend you for thinking about how you’re going to go about it. The other issue I am passionate about is that here in the states we also have a problem now with nobody giving a commitment to dinner ahead. I sympathize with the hostess and the cook as I am one and struggle with how to prepare for people who will not commit and you don’t even know if they’re coming or not. So they may actually come and then you’re not ready. This is a very bad etiquette all around. Love your Vlogs
Happy birthday papa you look like a youngfella god bless you everyday safe home to you and your wife ❤,, I absolutely love your tiles craftsmanship at its finest ❤ hopefully 6 months will fly in for you Kylie big hugs ❤
Shalom Kylie and Guido❣️Your bathroom is going to be beautiful❣️ And your tart was so pretty too❣️🥰I stopped getting up in the night when my 3 daughters were 2 1/2 months old because I desperately needed the sleep. They cried the first night or two and then they were fine. God bless your family❣️🥰💕🙏🏻💕💕
I just found your channel, absolutely beautiful 😍. So classy, elegant,so much to learn,....cooking looks amazing, mama mia 😍. I love the country side,so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey and inspiring others 🙏. Those birds singing in the background, when your husband speak about the olive tree is just wonderful ❤️. That's all about this life, living in peace, enjoying every moment, spending time with family, absolutely amazing 😍
It is wonderful seeing you and your young family and all of the progress you are making! I had to laugh when you have confirmed my theory on the last minute guest cancellation / Italian practice of “waiting for the best offer”! I am Italian and have several relatives that use the phrase “let’s wait and see” but they never say what they are waiting to see!
Hello Kylie! I am so sorry to hear how you were treated during childbirth. Its absolutely horrific to even hear it. Poor woman! That is abuse. How can they call themselves medical professionals is appalling. I'm so glad you are home and your child is safe.
Kylie, its a tough spot to be in, there is a jewish man in brooklyn named Simon Jacobson, in Brooklyn US..I have a feeling that sharing this with him could help you get a good grasp of how to approach this very important subject. If this tragedy can be prevented and openly effectively dealt with, your's and other womens sufferring of this treatment will never happen to the beautiful precious women and men of Italy who deserve all the support in the world. P.s I am in Israel but originally from London. I love watching tv show of midwives helping in home births. Their love care and dedication is unreal and so beautiful. Beside that, the kitchen set up reminds me a little of a vermeer painting😉☺I look forward to hear wonderful progress of you all and also please consider a child like version of vocab in Italian where you point and call the words. 🙏🤭🍬😚💕I love you guys. Lia
Dear Kylie, I subscribed to yr channel when you were under 100k followers I think. I am so happy watching your growth and your life turning in to a real fairytale! You deserve it! Con tanto affetto from Greece ❤🥰
I started watching these renovation videos a couple of weeks ago & now I’ve caught up. I guess while I’m waiting for Friday I’ll begin watching another of your videos series. It’s been a joy so far
It is real therapy to see you making the lemon cake. So gentle and calm and the result looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. This was such a beautiful video.
Everything you create is beautiful ! just a little note as I am charmed by your olive trees. Olive leaves are medicinal for tea and other recipes, olives are very beneficial, research shows that olive leaf extract helps prevent LDL (bad) cholesterol from building up in your arteries. This effect helps increase blood flow and lower blood pressure, reducing your risk of heart disease. Everything from mother earth can be a blessing. Wishing you and your family much happiness and good health. Kara from Montreal.
LEMON TART
Mix 1.5 cups of plain flour with 3 tablespoons of icing sugar or fine sugar.
If I see a troll I notify.
Blessings! 💙🦋💙
Yummy
No way that is insane
All I can say is “it’s your friends loss!!” To be invited to your beautiful home with your lovely family and scrumptious food is a dream come true. ❤
You’re so sweet. Thank you. ♥️
I do as well, this person eloquently said what all your community feels for you and your family
@@KylieFlavell It will be time consuming and ongoing but persist for yourself, your family and all the women of Italy treated so horribly...its midievil ....or actually not, a midwife would have watched out for you before and after.
@@juliemooney4115 …midwives are often ( whisper whisper..) better than the doctors. I know…..
Oh wow, I’m so happy for you! Good luck! I’m sure you and your husband are about to embark on a truly fulfilling chapter. 🎉🎉🎉
@Kylie Flavell And happy birthday to your lovely dad! Age is really just a number. 78 and he looks at least 2 decades younger
I agree. How do these people in a caring environment become so hateful. I had a very difficult situation as well.
Tragic and almost incomprehensible to hear of the death of a baby due to staff negligence. I’m so sorry mothers in Italy have to endure this cruelty.
Your bathroom is looking amazing, I really loved seeing the progress and watching the tiler work.
Birthing... women... you mean just women
@@crimsonthumos3905 I mean what I said. It's empathetic to consider that many women cannot give birth, for a myriad of reasons.
So sorry to hear about the woman who lost her baby. Those nurses and doctors have that baby’s life on their hands. You are very brave to speak out. I pray that God will be with you.
Your home is lovely! The bathroom and kitchen are amazing.
Never clicked so fast!!! 🏃🏽♀️
When your husband pruned the trees instead of doing office work; it’s called productive procrastination. I do it every day 😊
Dear Kylie, after sharing your hospital experience, I just wanted to pause a moment to give you a hug. ❤ Before moving onto your lovely pastry, to tell you how well you did! I’m so glad that you and your beautiful family are healthy and enjoying life again in the refuge you have created.
Thank you, Melissa! 😊
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Many are having their babies at home 🏡 I don't trust hospitals these days
Amen ❤
So sorry to hear about that lady in the hospital who lost her baby. It defenitely is time for change and I wish you and the other moms lots of love and the will to try and and make the change. Thanks for sharing your beautiful bathroom's progress and your family. Keep well and be strong.
Dear Kylie, if you only knew how good your videos make us feel! We can't wait for the next one to come! Thank you so much for trying very hard to share your beautiful life with us in the midst of your busy schedule, we truly appreciate it my dear!
Thank you so much!!
Bless you, Kylie. You are a wonderful Daughter, Wife and now a Mother. You do everything with such a huge amount of love.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful bathroom!
You’ve created a timeless masterpiece, with your material choices and the Craftspeople you’ve sourced.
Thank you for sharing your process.
Wishing you a lifetime of joy there🕊🤍
Thank you! 😊
It’s unbelievable how they treat labor and delivery there😢
Everything looks delicious ❤
Guido really is knowledgeable about plants. The baby has really grown, he is so cute. It breaks my heart to hear how horribly women are being treated by medical staff. It's a very disturbing situation. I hope their is some resolution to this problem soon.
I love Guido, you have a fine husband
Will these cases ever go to an Italian court of law?
@@meganblasco2 Let's hope so!
HAPPY 78th BIRTHDAY to your GORGEOUS Father.!!🎈🎁🎉God bless him and the whole family 👪
Madonna mia, fare le fughe di quelle piastrelle esagonali fatte a mano deve essere stato un incubo!
Bravissimo il piastrellista! 👏
The doors with the shutter handles are beautiful. Thanks, Dad!
Thank you !
Ohh and Happy birthday to your father Kylie, he looks so good for 78 years old! 🎉🥳
Regarding the friends that show or decline to visit -
cooking from what you do have in your pantry or garden - is a more casual meal than a planned hosted meal,
And places more emphasis on the company at the table.
Your Dad looks true to the statement 78 years YOUNG! Happy belated birthday
Your son seemed to be studying that olive tree. He'll be up the top of the tree waving to you soon, freaking you out no doubt.
What a JOY to follow you ,to see your ruin come to life, to see your family grow to see all your painstaking work come together! GLORIOUS ❤
With love, Lori Hanson (A Native Californian)

I'm so sorry to hear of your experience giving birth. That breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes. No one should be treated like that. I'm so proud of you for speaking out. Your videos are such a treat and you are such a calming presence. Wishing your family all the best and sending so much support your way ❤️
Happy 78th Birthday to your Dad May he live long in good health, much love and happiness.
(also, I'm making the lemon tart. pronto :)

Hello Kylie!😊
First and foremost I want to say that you have a beautiful family.
Your videos are so beautiful and I’m sure many don’t recognize all the talent that goes into shooting and editing not to mention the time. Bravo!
Lovely as usual! Do whatever it takes to get rid of the witches from hospitals!
Your father is amazing - so helpful and youthful. What a blessing to spend time with your parents.
Your lemon tart looked so delicious. That is my favourite dessert. Love your terracotta floor. It looks amazing. Thanks for another great video
I can't believe your all grilling and here we just had a snow storm, another reason to live your world
Kylie, your dinner looked AMAZING....I LOVE how you just walk outside and pick a lemon, can't do that here in Chicago, lol...
Kylie,
I’ve not written to you until now, but wanted to let you know how wonderfully and gracefully you have handled the past several months.

Thank you for your understanding, Cathy.
Gianfranco was fascinated watching his Pappa cut the olive trees. So cute.
BEST TO YOU
The Bathroom is looking AMAZING! It definitely looks like it’s been there the whole time.
78?! Omg, I would've never thought your parents are older than 60.
I can only wish him the best of health and many more years of happiness! 🥂
😂😂😂😂
What a beautiful pie! Kylie, Im glad youre following through with the nightmare hospital experience. The bathroom and the tiling, its all GORGEOUS!
