People movers, the least sexy of all the genres of motor vehicles. But it's one that is extremely important when it comes to transporting your offspring all over the countryside.
But which ones are the best? Which ones hopefully won’t break down, leaving you in the nightmare situation of being stranded on the side of the road with you, your kids and possibly their friends either melting in the sun or being drenched in the rain.
    Here's our Top 5 picks.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to hit subscribe to stay up to date with all our latest content.

At ReDriven, we’ll be taking you through the pros and cons of a huge range of used cars to see how well they’re going now that they’re a few years old, have thousands of kilometres on the clock, and are coming toward the end of their warranty, or maybe don’t have one at all.
Plus, thanks to our resident mechanic, Jim, you’ll find out what commonly goes wrong with them and what might need to be fixed.
Most importantly, we want to make ReDriven a voice for the most in-the-know used car experts there are...you guys.. See, you’re the ones that actually buy, live with, love and sometimes unfortunately hate the cars we’ll be reviewing.
So we want to hear your thoughts. Hit us up in the comments, or on Instagram and Facebook.
We’d love nothing more than for you to give us as much feedback as possible, so we can make this channel the best it can be.

The older gen Delica's were awesome. There'd a cult 4x4 following with them.
EL Grand are cool besides their Japanese buttons and/or infotainment system.
Honda, I remember the early gens when in Autosalon back in sex-spec days.

Earlier Mitsubishi Delicas are now available in the US and Canada...but they're now at least 15 years old at this point, you can't import cars into Canada unless they're 15 years old (25 years in the US). They're some exceptions to the rule under the "show and display" rule in the US, but only for special cars with a special history, and they can't be driven much in a given year.

I like the look of E52 Elgrand, but the Nissan CVT makes me nervous in terms of its reliability - I know in the US there is a reputation for requiring complete replacement. Do we have any industry feedback locally about the units lifespan / repair cost?

A not-so-fun, but well known fact: the Nissan Quest (the first and second generation) was built in partnership with Ford and was also sold in the US as a Mercury Villager.
Also: the previa was sold legally in the US ,just not the generation you're talking about, it was the first generation (1990-1997). It got replaced with the Sienna in 1998.

One thing that be interesting to see is which cars are the hardest to find in a bone stock/stock standard condition or in an unmolested state. As it's got to annoy not just the common person and car fans but people like yourself and Jim seeing cars have been modded/molested to the point you hardly recognise the car.

I am not sure I will continue watching. Sorry, you are a great presenter but my interest is what is or was available mainstream in Australia. I don't care what other countries get or didn't get because I won't be buying it or driving it.
The UK has a similar show and its called like Lancia Beta goes for a drive etc. Great but unashamedly UK centric.
Surely we can have all Aussie content. What do other viewers think? Why not do a poll?
I will wait and see the result before deciding. Best wishes either way. Australia needs a Australia centric version!

    • @ReDriven
      @ReDriven  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Hi Wayne, that's really sad to hear although your reasoning and concern I can assure you is and always will be unfounded.
This list, like all of our content, while we try to keep it as internationally relevant as possible, is quite Australian centric. All the vehicles listed in this Top 5 are available in Australia except for the the US or Euro alternatives we mentioned. Even then, the US/Euro vans mentioned are alternatives to Australian sourced examples. Even the pricing mentioned is Australian based.
As far as our reviews, quite often we feature cars that are not available in the US or Europe. We also make a point of mentioning that while we focus on the Australian variants of a particular model, we do try to let the viewer know if something is inherently an Australian feature or impression.
In response to your "surely we can have all Aussie content" well with us, you do. We are based in Australia and will always feature cars that are either here in Australia or are available in Australia, that will never change. I'm not sure how we could possibly be any more Australian centric short of me wearing an Aussie cricket uniform on the videos!
Finally, and please don't take this the wrong way as we do totally respect your opinions and thoughts, and this goes for any organisation not just ReDriven, rather than turning away from a brand new Australian business that is trying to reach a global audience, why not support it and help it become an international brand.
Yes we are proudly Australian and will always inject Aussie humour and promote our Australian ideals but we are working incredibly hard to create content and a platform that is as international as possible. I think it's important to embrace the fact TH-cam (and the net in general) can deliver the products of our hard work to countries all around the world and surely it's important to support and encourage this growth and these aspirations.
ReDriven is a business mate, (although one that has taken hundreds of hours of work and hasn't made us any money as of yet!) and ideally, we'd love Australians to one day see ReDriven successfully playing in the global automotive sphere and be proud that two blokes from Newcastle and Sydney worked their arses off to create an internationally respected brand. That will only happen with the support of people like yourself mate. - AK
