    Let us know whether you prefer the Staria or the Carnival below. Also read the article here- www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/2021-hyundai-staria-vs-kia-carnival-comparison-review

    I've been looking at both for my daughter who uses a wheelchair. In the past it has always been Carnival or the VW van that has been our main options. Today we went for a drive in the Staria Elite. OMG it is beautiful. The space, the quietness. My daughter loved the huge windows, she could see so much. Absolutely in love with it!

      We are looking now as we have two fosters with special needs & both wheelchair bound... I much prefer the Carnival but the space for our family is also very important... I'm so torn on which one to get

    Kia Carnival is very beautiful whilst Hyundai Staria looks Toyota Master Ace in the early 1990's

      Kia looks like another suv clone and the staria is better packaged and looks cooler.

    After viewing the review made by Wheels on TH-cam, I have generated some points that I would like to quickly add.
    First of all, the carnival still uses the old system of technology where as the Staria uses the latest technology by Hyundai, meaning that it would be more refined and matured.
    Next up, is the room and space in the vehicles. The Hyundai has more room than the Carnival on the inside, we thoroughly tested both vehicles and we found that we could comfortably sleep 4 people in the Staria, but it was pretty much cannot be done by the Carnival. An analogy would be, you are paying the same price, but only getting a Unit if you buy the Carnival, however, if you buy the Staria you would be getting a proper House if this makes any sense.
    Finally, I have 3 final points to state. The thing now is Covid, Covid has changed our lives and the way we travel big time since flying would be dangerous and not an ideal choice. The Staria is larger on the inside, therefore more room, therefore, more ideal for traveling comfortably. Reason that this is important is because it is really hard to find accommodation these days, last time we drove 4000km and only spent a total of $200 worth of accommodation fees. It just saves you money. And because of the new lane centering assist, driving there is easy as snapping your fingers with this function. We got home after a week without feeling fatigue or anything. Another advantage that the Staria has is the incredible HTRAC 4 wheel drive system, allowing it to tow 2.5 tonnes and do a little bit of off roading if you drive to the outback or something like that. With this car, we can do whatever we want, whenever we want, wherever we want.
    This is all I have to say and thanks for reading, I hope this all makes sense and could also be considered.

    The KIA Carnival is more 'personal' like... less space inside, yet enough. The feeling I got, I loved it.
    Off the mark its like a rocket launch with that diesel awesome exhaust roar!! Excess into it at rear is challanging... where Hyundai Staria excells.
    High seating and relaxing position with just right door armrest... excellent.
    Over the steering speedo with all the info...I saw first in Peugeot....revolutionary !
    Carnival has lower and Staria much higher roof. Staria feels and is much more spacious. New, bigger and amasing large and lower windows is an EYE TURNER, besides its futuristic front and rear look !!!! Comfy seats with lots lots legroom and every modern feature installed into it. Definatelly it will be popular amongs hire car and shuttle operators. Top model will challange the V250 Mercedes and save approx $30K
    You decide.
    Love them both

    I really, really like the look of the Staria, but I reckon it'd be the Carnival for me. Muscly looks and a more family-oriented interior.

    Looks wise, inside and out, I love the Staria, but my deal breaker is the lack of arm rests for longer trips. Such a small thing I know. But if I’m buying a luxury van I want a prober lounge chair style cabin seat experience.

    I really don't understand. Kia have done the market research and found that people want less van like people movers.. so what does Hyundai do? Make a van like people mover.. added height and length make it actually less appealing than the Kia. And that convertible boot space... It's the king of storage still.
    It's so odd.. they are legally different companies, but are still the same company for all intents and purposes.. the Staria really doesn't make a lot of sense.

    • @jezspinks426
      @jezspinks426 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the Staria design is bold in more ways than one. The Carnival's flexible/versatile third row really is its piece de resistance.

    • @light487
      @light487 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jezspinks426 the Staria really is just the iload/imax with a new look. Some people are going to like that look, but that's really all there is to offer in the people mover space for the Staria.
      No childseat anchors in the back row seems to be a design flaw.. someone needs to ask Hyundai about that.

    No way definitely no way! To compare Hyundai Staria with Kia Carnival. I drove both vehicles in a very short space of time end the feeling is totally different driving each vehicle. Also, they are visually very different, so absolutely I am amazed that you compare the two.
    The Staria can only be compared to the Mercedes V250! Full Stop. By, its bulky size, space and number of seats. The Staria is an amasing vehicle and I drove the Petrol Front wheel drive. The base model. It impressed me all around. The KIA Carnival diesel I drove is excellent in everyway also. Beautiful 8 seamles gears smooth as SILK!! Its size and space does NOT compare with Hyundai Staria at all. Full recomendations on BOTH vehicles and please do not compare the two. Chauffeur, Hire car and shuttle business industry operator for decades.Hopefully this helps someone to give these vehicles a test drive, you will be blown away!
