This looks so much easier than I imagined it would be. Going to replace my son's headlights this weekend, and wasn't sure what I needed to do to remove the bumper. Thanks for making this so clear and easy to follow.
A set of new headlamp assemblies was one of the first things I did on my 2009 corolla as well! It was amazing how much cleaner and younger the vehicle looks with the fresh headlights
@@BrandonStellmach I would recommend DEPO brand, which are usually made in Taiwan. There is a.lot of variety, some are more clean, while others are more fancy.
They were decent for the price, but after about a year, the clear coat started to crack on me, so I wet sanded them and redid the clear coat! You get what you pay for! 😆
so much better then the originals one , but im gonna ask you if i can do that for my 2008's corolla? what the referecne of the headlight that you install bro?
OK! So after reviewing many videos and researching comments. If your Signals don't work, you have to take out the Grey connector and switch it around (change polarity). And plug it back in. Guess someone was saying this is to prevent connectivity during shipping. Was about to return them but did extensive research to figure it out. And sure enough I change the polarity of the signal plug and worked like a charm.
Yeah I have have that happen to me a few times on some LED bulbs. I noticed that some are polarity driven, and others are not. But glad to see you got yours working!
Ihave a 2013... all bolts removed and assembly moves around freely but there is a pieve of metal that comes up from the frame of the bumper that is in the way of removal. Looks like i need to take off the aluminum part of the bumper to remove this plate😂
@BrandonStellmach after the 3 mentioned in the video, I ended up removing 3 screws for the fenders. Had to pull them away to slide the light assembly sideways a few inches before they would come out.
Are you asking how to adjust the level of the beam, of the headlight? If so there is a screw that needs to be turned and that will bring the level of the headlights to where you need them.
Hey! I've been watching for a while and I have an 09 Corolla as well. I wanted to replace / upgrade my headlights. I've been trying to find a headlight with projector housing w/ support for LED lights but haven't been able to find one, so the only other option is retrofitting. I was wondering if you ever got around to retrofitting your projector housing or if you just left the LED bulbs in the reflector housing. :)
Well right now I still have the reflector housings with LED bulbs. I have been wanting to retrofit some projectors in my headlights I just haven’t had the time for that project yet. But hopefully soon I will be doing that.
@@BrandonStellmach Ok awesome ! I’ll be watching out for that. I think I might just put led bulbs into the oem headlights, I’ll take the complaints from other drivers 🥲
@@Djav1308 surprising I haven’t had any complain about my lights. But I’m also almost 4inches lower then stock. So I’m probably lower then most cars on the road.
I ordered it off of eBay almost 3 years ago. So they might be getting harder to find. Maybe you can try the manufactures website and see if they have them in stock.
I have been doing a little bit of research and I think mine might be because of the alternator. There is a video by Chrisfix that shows how to test it. And when I tested mine the voltage to the battery was reading low. So soon I’m going to replace the alternator and see if that fixes it!
If you don’t over complicate it, it’s pretty easy to do! Just a few screws and clips holding on the bumper, and a few more acres holding on the headlights!

@@BrandonStellmach The light above license plate how do you turn it on
@@Daniel-ff6js to turn them on, all you need to do is turn your headlights on and they come on with them.
Did you have to adjust the headlight beam after installation of the new assembly?
Doesn’t look like it. Came to this video for tips on how to do that correctly and got nothing.
These headlights were adjusted good from the factory. But if needed to, there should be a screw on the top of the headlights to adjust them.
Will this also be the same processs on a 2009 Matrix?
This process should be fairly similar since the 2009 matrix and 2009 corolla are identical chassis, just different body style.
What brand and where did you buy the headlights?
The brand is auto dynasty. And the link is in the description!
How did they hold up after some time?
Planning on getting them but not sold on them just yet. Due to lack of knowledge on their reliability. Thank you in advance. Helps a lot

those arent factory fog lights, are they? I just bought a base 2009 Corolla and wanted to add some fogs.
No, they’re not factory. I have a video installing them here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/YL6uZ5qVTf0/w-d-xo.html

I’m not the most familiar with the 2008 corolla, but the process should be the same for installing them as well.
Bro the side bolt to hold the headlight in place doesn’t reach fully through
I am not sure I understand? Maybe an incorrect bolt was installed from previous owner?
I replaced my headlight but now four way flashers and signals are not working, can you help me with that?
The only thing I can think of, is the turn signal bulb harness never got plugged in, or didn’t get plugged all the way in.
Hey man what bulbs are you using to get them that blue and bright?
These are the bulbs I have in my car: amzn.to/396xiL4

😂 I don’t think it’s that bad!
You need to speak up and turn down the music
This was one of my older videos! I agree the editing of the sound should have been better!

It’s simple to do.
Everyone using rachets is driving me crazy! Use a cordless drill or screwdriver.
Sometimes I would rather be able to break a bolt loose and see how tight it is.
Don’t use drills that much, even though it would speed things up!
