Putting your left arm over the top of his right arm to protect from choke and helping to trap the arm, great idea! Will have to try that.

Very nicely explained, thank you for posting. Looks like a great, high probability technique.

I love that variant on the inside tie from outside. I normally use it to counter, so it's nice to see an offensive setup from it.

I didn't know anything about this sport till few days ago.... and I think it is amazing, I really love this shit..
Unfortunately I have not seen any training club in Spain, or the rest of Europe yet... I have to do my Google on this because I want to learn.

@@SnakePitUSA at 4:09 why do you not go to the knee? Just preference nothing objective or is there a solid reasoning?

I have a question Joel. At 2:44 when you sit to your knees. will he get thrown all the way over. or will it be a slow roll over sometimes if he doesnt try to roll. Like will you eventually get it or can he fight it and get out and take your back. Thanks Snake Pit > awesome videos!!!!!! Game changer in MMA. Wrestling is underused right now i believe in MMA

Andy Bruce Hi Andy, your opponent should (if done perfectly) go all the way over quickly. However, for that to work, you NEED them to be pushing back into you before you drop down into that 180 on the knees. Secondly, your hips must be behind their heels. I call this, “making yourself disappear” beneath them. Lastly, when you land, sit back tight and force your head downward into a ball while maintaining this exact grip. Don’t “Chop the Wood” as it’s taught in Judo because you are likely to end up with them on your back once the roll thru happens. I’ve seen it done many times where it looks slow motion and still gets pulled off, but if you focus on those key points it should secure a decent takedown opportunity. Hope that helps. - J. Bane

Little detail on the judo way is that with ippon seoinage you pull the arm into the crook of the elbow and not over the shoulder. Your shoulder doesn’t carry any weight. Good technique though

Holden Muganda maybe because this is a different technique. Mechanically similar, but different

That is a really cool way to get this throw. Does this put your shoulder in a weird position as you throw. I am just curious as I have tight shoulders and I have to be careful how I use them when I throw. Thanks!
