Watching each throw, he made almost all of the right reads. Only a couple poor passes, more than a few drops, tons of pressure, no run game, OL injuries, penalties, not a ton of separation from the pass catchers… I actually think he did just about as much as he could with what was available. Giants played strong on defense, didn’t turn the ball over, and won TOP by nearly 13 minutes. It was far from pretty, but Zach did his job and helped turn a loss into a win, and that matters.
I agree, I don't see how Aaron Rodgers does significantly better here under the circumstances. Happy for the win though.
It’s not I dislike Zach. I dislike any QB who has little to no awareness, rarely gets past his first read and can’t convert on third down (avg of 4.5 yards to go so don’t use the third and long excuse). Def not all on him but we know he’s not that good.
Kids got Balls, big balls to get that win!
Watching thís live I didn't appreciate how hard Zach was battling. I think this was his best game as a pro to be honest.
On second look Zach had a heck of a game. I counted about six drops. No protection plan for 5 and no run game. Hackett needs to coach him up on pre snap reads as well.
I expect Zach to light the chargers up for 300+ 2tds
The rain affected everyone. It wasn't easy for anyone, even league MVP Tommy Devito
Can we give Garrett Wilson his respect the man is amazing
He made the 2 biggest throws of his career in those last 24 seconds to keep playoff hopes alive
Bruh zack has made more impressive throws then. That. Idt those are even top 5
again tennese he throw a big bomb remember
Because with :24 he was FORCED to get rid of it quickly and do everything fast. The right way. It was do or die. Otherwise, he holds on too long and the play unravels
Can we all agree my man Zach is clutch? or aren't the haters ready for that conversation yet?
can we agree the Giants' kicker sucks?
I agree 100%
If we had anyone else but Cobb out there, we get a W with the Hail Mary against the Patriots.
feel stupid?
Fun fact:
Zach Wilson is the 1st QB since 2000 to win a game with multiple 25+ yard completions
within the final 30 seconds of the 4th quarter.
This team is gonna make a lot of history
I fail to see how anyone can put this very sloppy game on Zach Wilson, he did pretty well considering that he was being chased all over the lot by Giants defenders, and once again Mekhi has big problems with a speed rush to the outside. Mekhi should ALWAYS have a TE to his left side, ALWAYS to pick up the speed rusher to the outside because that man will get around Mekhi Becton 50% of the time. A win is a win, even if it's a sloppy one. Let's go get the Chargers now and get to 5-3.
i think becton is sadly washed ,he was a great prospect
@@carlosgrott2496lmao m0ron, he’s an elite LT in the league.
What a clown, you’re really blaming becton? You’re a disgrace of a fan.
@@ladistar bro he got beat like 4 times. Y’all buggin
He has some very good games this year, better than Duane Brown has looked. He’s got the skill. The Giants d line is good.
Rewatching and holy shit, almost EVERY THROW was under pressure!
Exactly. Imagine what he could do if he had some time.
Yes. It's the NFL.
@@mikevo3974 30 pressures on 36 drop backs with 4 sacks and 7 QB hits is not average NFL play😂😂😂
@@mikevo3974 yes it’s the NFL, Tua has a pressure rate of 13%, the average is around 20%, and our o line is over 34% for worst in NFL. Give the league minimum to offensive linemen, anyone can fill in that role.
you don't think most of the QB's in the league performance drops when theyre under pressure? only mahomes, allen, burrow, Lamar can do magic regularly when they're pressured - but even then they struggle if it becomes too much - did you see the bucs v chiefs super bowl... Zach played pretty incredibly sunday in horrendous conditions, with no OLine, no running game, receivers that cant get open / or he doesn't have time in the pocket to wait, he didn't throw any interceptions which would have been so easy under those conditions, that pressure and a marauding Giants D - and yet through all that pressure, adversity and battering Zach was unbelievably clutch to "win" the game... and yet all some of you Jets fans can do is continue to hate on the young lad who is 4-3 playing a tough schedule and getting beat to shit each week...@@mikevo3974
$57 million on the offense vs. $115 on the defense ... In rain, against a run heavy defense. We need a couple Olineman at the deadline, and we need to pass to the tight ends.
Stick with Zach until Rodgers gets back.
The amount of times they said “Wilson hit as he throws” is unbelievable. Zach had 2-3 bad throws and maybe held the ball a little long on a couple. But last year those were picks. He didn’t get any help from all the drops but he wasn’t as bad as people make it seem. He had a solid game when you look at all the variables. He played with a center who never snapped the ball to him and Billy turner at RG when he’s a tackle. Let’s be happy he pulled off a miracle, didn’t give up and we won. Let’s gooooooi 4-3 with 2 winnable games up next. Can’t wait to go to the chargers game 🤙🏽
Unfortunately casual stat sheet readers will say Zach is regressing lol
I actually didn't think he played as bad as everyone tried to say he did. That was some poor OL play, poor running game, poor play calling, and occasionally some poor passing. Blame all around on this one.
We need another receiver guys are not getting open at all!
@@jusstnc1759but they are though, garrets open, Lazard was open at times, Conklin was wide open when Zach got drilled and the ball nearly got there. I think between the weather and the complex blitz packages wink martindale deploys and multiple lineman going down on the right side was what played into how the offense looked
@@svnd I saw some All-22s where guys are coming open by pressure is in his face and he’s moving, some of these route designs look pitiful.. Zach will still make mistakes and miss a guy here and there too. Feels like everyone is still taking turns making mistakes and we need that unit on par immediately
@@jusstnc1759 well you’re not wrong but you’re also not original in saying that the offense takes turns to fold positionally, Sales has said this during the past two pressers. And to your all22 point, there were numerous times where guys were getting open as Zach is getting hit by a defender, or a dropped pass, or a missed block, or holding the ball instead of just throwing it away earlier in the game
8 dropped passes by the way in this video and 1 throw away he would of had 72 percent completion
No , Jets will get charged with 2 drops
@Apocalypse2031 Good thing you're not the coach
I think he would've been around 70 last game as well but had drops and ended up with under 60%
@Apocalypse2031 zach living rent free in ur head
@Apocalypse2031 "pathetic 1,337 yards passing"?
Actually I think you'll find that's leet level passing.
Gotta give Zach credit. Got the snot beat out of him but came up big when it mattered.
ZW is doing what he can, that bad throw to Breece was his worst but let’s just keep moving and rooting .. it didn’t help us shi**ing on him last years so let’s just root for Jets
Noone was shitting on him last year it was the facts.Zack Wilson was playing horrible last year on a good team
Dude the o line needs work Zach was running for his life
You’re a m0ron, many of them are injured
The only throw I remember Zach really missing was the 3rd down check down to Hall on the rollout that would've kept the drive going. Maybe it was the rain. Maybe he just short armed it.
Rain. I doubt he was just faking looking at his hand and rubbing his fingers together to see how slippery it was. Ball came out as a duck. It slipped. Happens. But the TV commentators were right, he hasnt been good in the rain. He should go outside and practice every time it rains in NJ for the next two years (yes) and practice all the rain stuff.
this is just blatantly false. never go full r3tard@Apocalypse2031
Man, 4-3 with our offensive line woes, I'll take it. We need a better offensive line.
First impression while watching the game was like Zach sucks...but after watching this I think there were more drops than bad passes, receivers couldn't separate and failed miserably in contested passes. Fumbles sucked but the one was a first snap from the 3rd string center...And he did make some great throws, especially at the end. Anyway, didn't play great and the Giants D did. Just don't think the shitty play was all Zach's fault.
Once again Zach Wilson had more rushing yards than ALL of the Jets' running backs COMBINED.
And now the o-line is more depleted than ever... yet somehow this low-football-IQ fanbase will blame it on Zach Wilson.
Ryan ... Thx for doing these, I have a much better appreciation of how well Zach played yesterday. ZW made some clutch throws with a wet ball. I feel much better NOW!! Luv the channel and hope your little ones are feeling better!!
Zach had a good game. Statistically he faced the most pressures of his career
What! ,man some of you folk sound crazy...good game????
He was ok but he was great the last 20 seconds of regulation
@@bigapple3870 when it mattered
@@bondson0094watch this video, more drops than misses. No interceptions, in a down pour. Far from perfect but he played fine today. Jets offensive woes are deep, far deeper than QB. That said, obviously there’s always more he can do.
A good game? Are you kidding me?
240 yards passing 25 yards running and 1 TD!
There is a reason Jets fans and media get bad reps. Your response is a perfect example of why. I know as soon as I bring up issues with the Jets, and even why things like “Fumbles” don’t effect QB ratings for a reason, you will cognitive dissonance answers prepared, including some lie like “I wanted Zach Wilson to be successful but…” nope, football is a team sport, and Jets fans and media love to hate on players because some how they feel it protects the rest of the team… the reality is, unless Wilson was top 10 qb in the league you would hate him, and no I don’t believe anything you say suggesting anything differently!
@Apocalypse2031
I'm really beginning to see through bots and obvious Social Media campaigns by accounts with a clear interest and/or agenda. Are you hired by his agent, or Trevor himself? Because honestly, this type of post makes Trevor Siemien seem like a bad guy, not a team guy. It's so very obvious, too. You need to do a better job of making yourself seem realistic.
Coming from a lifelong jet fan who is aware of Trevor, his youth versus Zach's youth, and what he's capable of. Taking snaps away from Zach while he's healthy at this point in his career is a nonstarter. Heavy investment in Zach, and anyone watching him since he was drafted knows he has played a lot better ever since Aaron came on board.
@Apocalypse2031 when u dont have any wrs or tight ends, except GW, youre not going to have good stats
@Apocalypse2031 You rank top 10 in 'being a hater'.
@Apocalypse2031you’re an absolute m0ron
Love how everyone shitting on him today but tons of qbs played way worse then he did today I get it he needs more touchdowns but he not throwing picks
In these conditions no QB was going to light it up. How did Taylor, a respected backup, look until he got hurt? Y’all have Zach PTSD and loose your shit over one missed check down when the guy hasn’t missed a single one of those all year. I’ve seen joe Burrow have much worse games than this…
I believe in this kid. If they can give him a solid 3 seconds I know he can get the job done. Almost every time hes drops back hes running for his life.
Offensively we are frustrating but grinding it out… we miss Corey Davis badly. I think Zach is holding the ball to get a chance for a guy to come open. Thankfully he made monstrous plays for us to win.
WR Davis can and should come back.
@@christopherjones2669 he is arguably the best option out there. I would make the call and see where he is at
He's holding it because he missed the open window while he was holding it.
@@theydontknow9260 nah. Some of these route concepts are brutally bad lmao. We are also one of the worst teams in avg yards of seperation
Can’t believe we pass protected better against the eagles than the giants 😂😂
Half the line was out. Started the year with 5 lineman. Two remained. And two of the replacement were out as well. And the middle of the line is soft where the Giants have a strengtth. And the Giants have played well defensively, including recently.
Amazing work as always!
Zach is OUR QB
yes very sad...
Facts if only our o line was healthy and good
@@bondson0094I’m so sorry that your team won. Look at the bright side, you probably won’t win the superbowl this year-you’ll just make it to the playoffs for the first time in 13 years.
@@jamesvandukergo act like a devil somewhere else. It’s a game of touch butt who cares. Is this what your life has come to?
@@jamesvandukerjets have an excellent shot at the Super Bowl
I’ve learned to watch and study the All-22 before passing judgment. I’m sure there was a lot we’re not seeing that was on Zach and that wasn’t
I agree. I saw a number times he held the ball too long took sacks or fumbled the ball. I wouldn't put this all on Zack. The offense isn't well balanced. On a rainy day you think they would try to run more. Either teams aren't respecting Zach so they're stacking the box daring him to throw or the Jets coaching staff don't feel the line is good enough to run block against the Giants. Either way the Jets offense isn't very good. Lucky to win this game.
@@petercofrancesco9812 You're not giving the Giants D enough credit. Thibodeux is a monster and made Mekhi look like a highschooler out there today. That's not on Zach.
He stared down too many of his receivers, if he learn to turn his head and read the field an get the ball out quicker he’ll be fine
@@BillySBCoh give me a break, becton played extremely well, you’re just a typical fake jet fan hater
Jwts receivers are human velcro
Watching this again, I could say the plays he held onto the ball too long were his worst plays. Other than that, his throws were pretty good. A lot of drops but you need to factor in the wet ball. He's growing week by week. Let's keep the train rolling.
Zach Wilson is doing very well ATM!!!
3rd and 5 should be like a 2 back (dalvin and Breece) option with slant wide outs. Play calling needs to be a bit old school, with the mentality of, "you know exactly what we are doing, but you can't stop it" tush-push vibe.
I love these videos
Thanks again.
So like real talk, the lack of 3rd down conversions is a big hole in our run game. Per this video
3rd and 5; 3rd and 1(twice); 3rd and 2; these are all run plays that should be called.
Zack was about 4 for 4 on 3rd and 10 but the Lizard dropped (questionable call by ref) made Zack 3 out of 4 for a 3rd and 10 situation. He hit 3 times out of 4 on 3rd and 5 pass situations. Had a 3 and 1yard to go dud to running back B.Hall; a sack on 3rd down dropped pass by G.Wilson on 3rd down
Like Saleh said it's top to bottom 3rd down fuck ups.
its raining like hell and the O line is letting them through almost every play....and yet people will go after zach like he's the worst. I think he's getting better every game and he doesn't give up even after getting beat to crap every play. Three different centers! Three.
There were 8 dropped passes. Four gives the Jets a first down in Giants territory, another drop gives them first down close to midfield.
The Jets have Garrett Wilson, but he's slim and isn't dominant in every case. They need one more WR who is REALLY GOOD. Just one more.
I don't know how anyone could watch this and say Zach played horribly. The offense in total was bad. But it wasn't all Zach's fault. Costly drops, constantly under pressure. No run game. A lot of blame to go around. Zach took a few sacks where he probably should have thrown it away, and he bounced one pass at Hall's feet. But otherwise he played well. I think what this game really shows is the Jets need to open it up and allow Wilson to throw down field.
Zach didn’t do as good as the other weeks today even though we one. But he did good enough to get us the win🎉😁
Zach is going to be a really good CFL backup one day.
@@jeromedangelo7028cry your team lost

True grit..
I hope next season jets will have a good receivers, Zach Wilson is good.
Key comment. “He’s played better the last three games, HES PLAYED BETTER INT HE SECOND HALF OF THOSE THREE GAMES” 🤷🏼♂️
Someone in my league dropped ZW after this game. I have the first pick on waivers. I’m looking forward to adding him to my roster. :)
Zach is gets under pressure in under 3 seconds " this is just holding onto the football for too long" bro what are you saying
Need another receiver, tired of all these drops but because of all OL injuries that probably not possible
Yea the tape doesn't lie; Zach was making good throws all game. I only saw one interceptable ball (Simmons was covering I think Conklin and the throw was fine, but the ball got batted up a bit.) There are maybe two throws Zach would want back; the Breece flat that was very short, and a fairly deep ball to Garrett on the right that needed either some more zip or another half yard towards the out of bounds line. To give Zach some credit; he made some under pressure throws that were very impressive.
Dude, Lazard has no hands
Give Zack some credit, he made some decent throws but guys kept dropping them as well. My jets also underestimated the Giants desire to win and they played better than their record indicates. we got lucky on this .. The JETS need to fix that offense because you could tell the Defense was a bit winded and we can't just expect them to win games for us because at the end of the day you have to put points on the board.
Zach played a solid game, more good decisions and throes vs. bad. bunch of dropped balls by the recievers. Bad decsions, holding onto the ball to long and getting sacked when he could have just thrown it away. Crazy game, but its the Jets and its a win.
Wish we knew the whole, actual story why Mecole Hardman didn’t work out and caused him to get traded.
His completion percentage has gone up 14.9????% the last three games and it’s about to be week 9. Wow
Zach wasn’t terrible under the circumstances but how do you watch this game and think he’s the guy to win us a superbowl. The defense and miraculous scenarios win us every football game…
so who is the guy then??
About as ugly as a game can get, but glad Zach Wilson pulled it together in the end, when it was on the line… Getting sacked on 4th and 10 with 1;26 left in game should have iced it for the Giants… Lucky Tyrod Taylor got hurt… That really put game in Jets’ favor… With Taylor, Giants win that game…
injuries are part of the game. Down to a practice squad center by the end. Giants keep Taylor, Jets keep game-starting Oline. different game, but not a shoe-in for the Giants
@@justinmorrell3446 two missed field goals....we got lucky
On that last Thibideax sack in the 4th quarter… Zach had Breece Hall open running right to left but never threw the ball to him.
there were throws in this game?
There’s also this. He’s from Utah. He’s probably made for football In the winter.
Zach took a beating
The difference between Zack and a good QB is that a good QB makes them pay when blitzed
Lots of drops and a couple poor reads. But he looks much better than stats show. Zach is mostly accurate, gutsy, and a great runner. He should bolt for the first down every time it's there in front of him. Gives a defense another dimension to worry about. Funny how he moved the offense downfield no problem with :24 left. That's because he had no choice but to operate quickly and get rid of the ball. Wish he'd do that all the time.
McGovern gets eaten by Dexter Lawerence the whole game
The NY Jets really need a speedy number 2 receiver. Lazard is good but he more like a 3. Mehki Becton struggled in this game.
Lazard is really a #4...Jets dont have a wr#2 or #3....
Nope becton played well, you’re just a hater
@@analyticalinsightboth Lazard are solid 2/3 receivers
@@ladistar Mekhi Becton game up 2 sacks yesterday. One of the sacks end up being a fumble. Elite Offensive linemen can go an entire game even overtime without giving up one.
Im not a Zach truther but imo he has talent, he is not where he needs to be yet because the Jets did not set him up for success the right way, he hasnt even played a full NFL season and ever try and throw a football in the pouring rain? Iykyk...now imagine doing it with DE's chasing you, lets ee how "accurate" some of you are.. ijs
I agree that ZW did what he could under the circumstances, but there's still absolutely no excuse for taking a sack on fourth down with the game on the line especially when he actually had time to throw the ball. His situational awareness must improve.
Hey he got it done, but those sacks are just inexcusable
God those drops are infuriating. You’re in the nfl catch the damn ball

does heavy rain and wind not play a factor or cause we’re jets it doesnt factor
Rewatching zach wasnt as bad as i remembered
Zach Was Probably Hoping For a PI Before The Ball Left His Hand on The Last Throw...Worst Case Scenario an Incomplete
Jets have a much better offense than the Giants except for some miscues etc.
Honestly the only bad things I'm seeing is holding unto the ball too long and taking bad sacks. Everything else was drops, weather, and poor o-line play. That throw at 14:25 is money.
Any QB in those weather conditions suvk
I can’t keep defending becton
You’re an absolute m0ron, he played well
Omg it was ugly but a win is a win
They don't have really great big pysical WRs. Garrett Wilson is good but he's not big or really fast. Has a lot of heart, though.
I had to rewatch this again after watching film, other utubers, experts . Wilson is being used as a Joystick, He is running the offense, He isn't even reading it. He threw everything to his 1st read or dumpoff. The GW back shoulder play was a look off to the left and back shoulder GW as his read. He had one pass on a scramble drill where GW ran back up the sideline. Every pass to the second level is coming off play action to his 1st read. As soon as he smells pressure, all bets are off , it becomes a scramble drill. When it comes to seperation which is the new blame excuse totally bull$hit. Seperation is calculated on targets and catch points. You can have a reciever 80 yards behind the defense , it's not calculated unless Zach throws him the ball. Seperation does not occur on the short passes within 8 yards. The reason the Jets are dead last in seperation is totally on Zach. You need to follow progressions, he can't, or isn't allowed to which is actually worse. Seperation normally occurs on 2nd and 3rd reads against the 2nd or 3rd best defender. Also you don't get seperation on contested catch throws. Zach underthrows every deep ball. I am really tired of watching Zach play football. The longer the play and protection the worse the outcome. Go watch multiple rookies scan the field and follow progressions. Zach isnt allowed to.
First QB hit on Wilson and he gets hit high and on the head. No call. Jeez.
We could not be luckier that we got this win. Was not deserved. Luckily we had a chance at the end with a miracle and Zach came through which is awesome. However, those two sacks he took in the 4th were just bad bad bad mental errors, he just can’t do that. And hall is probably our best player in open space so explain to me why he gets a pass and runs for a TD, and then doesn’t get another pass for the next two quarters. Doesn’t make sense.
On 4th and 10 a checkdon still turns the ball over. If he slips away, which he has done a lot, maybe he converts on 4th down. The other zach was a bad one as he could have thrown it away and had another shot.
9:23 This throw can NOT happen in the National Football League 🙈
Wet football 🤷🏻♂️
With Rodgers Jets are 6-1
QB rating won't matter
What is he talking about Held it too long. He had less 2 seconds to throw.
The game plan with Z.Wilson should be one read throws, if its not open fake like he's going to a 2nd read but look for an opening to run for 3- 6 yds and slide, no hero stuff. Also wildcat plays with Breece Hall. The O line and Zack's limitations at this point in his career as a QB demands this.
7 drops by all the crybabies who complain about bad passes
Zach has definitely improved but one week he’s getting the ball off quickly and the next he’s holding it forever taking bad sacks
he’s struggling to play confident and aggressive consistently but also be smart. hes back and forth on both. game manager and aggressive playmaker
I think there's a reality where he's still adjusting to different NFL defenses, giants give exotic looks and blitz a lot. Zach needed reps here and he got it. Need to be able to have reps and see how you can do better while also having enough sample size.
He's developing and will be better which is all we can hope for.
Pressure makes diamonds
ZW did a lot better than Mahomes, Purdy and Stafford today.
The Jets have the leagues lowest ranking of receivers who get separation
I didn't see a ton of open guys. A lot of his throws were in tight windows or he missed the tight window and the receiver couldn't get it. He was trying to throw them open. Few QB's, in the rain, can fit those windows all game. The Giants were rushing 4 or 5 and getting consistent pressure. Tough sledding
He reminds me of Daniel Jones only jones is a better runner.
The kid can play don’t understand the hate
His receivers helped him out a lot. Mostly all short passes but on the Hall TD. Hall had blockers doing a great job in front of him the giants D had no chance to make a tackle
His receivers dropped a bunch of balls. He only missed a few throws and a couple bad sacks were taken. Given the weather circumstance he played well
Wtf is an o-line
This was an unwatchable game. Both teams should be embarrassed.
Imagine the idiots that paid to watch that garbage in person.

@@christopherjones2669 so in his third season we're happy that he's better than 2 other bad QBs?? that's where we're at with this kid??
