Hello, I’m so so happy I found your channel 🙏🏽 My husband went into cardiac arrest in October 2022 he fell which resulted in a Spinal Cord injury 🥹🥹 He has OC & PT coming to give him therapy. This is the 3rd company he’s had!! These ones seem to sincerely care 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’m hoping your channel will help me help him!! It’s been such a life changing journey!! His insurance doesn’t pay for home health aide!! So here I am in my 60’s having to do everything for my husband. He’s been an amazing man & it’s sad to see him like this & depression setting in!! Looking forward to learning how I can help him ❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 I currently can not afford to join so for now we’ll watch your free videos!! Thank you dear🙏🏽

Dr. Tara Tobias, yet another one of your videos that is so helpful. I'm a stroke survivor, and I'm having this issue where I can extend downward my left elbow, but not out (to reach). Thank you so much

Thanks for watching and for this excellent question! Help as much as you need to but not more than you have to. That means you need to stay engaged while doing the exercise and adjust how much you are helping as you improve. I hope that helps!

Hi Dr Tobias, I’m nearly 2 years post stroke and am beginning to recover my left arm movement, I can now perform the majority of the exercises you demonstrate here. What are your views on vibration plate therapy for arm recovery? It would be great to hear your views and the views of anyone who has experienced success with vibration plate therapy. Thanks for your videos, they have played a major part in my recovery.

Thanks Tara for the detailed explanation, I'm just on the way out of this synergy, I'll definitely step up my daily routine with these exercises.
Is it more efficient to work the ear along with the other exercises you showed for the recovery of lifting the arm up or to force these more until I solve the synergy? Thank you and have a nice week.

Good video. I have advanced to doing both D1 and D2 PNFs standing up. Next, I might add some weight to my wrist. What do you think of that?

Hello Dr. Tobias. I can accomplish forward elbow extensions on a tabletop (with my affected arm), but I cannot align my right hand with my right arm in a straight line (to follow your exact routine), since my hand and wrist are rotated inward about 45 Degrees while doing these exercises. I also cannot do this particular exercise with my arm away from my body, which may be hampered by excessive spasticity?

If you can see her guidance is perfect and valuable you should consider her competence goes beyond the physical aspect but includes the psychological aspect. Been struggling with everything on my right side for the past 6 years after my 4th stroke but never complain, don’t want pity, her attitude make’s me feel like it’s not the end of the world, if I work I will get better but not to focus on what I can’t do but on what I can and so many have it worst than me. I need that positive attitude

Yes, super hard to have a stroke. We all have our ups and downs. Spend your energy on the positive. People around you will appreciate 🙏🏼
