The best clients always usually pay more or upfront, complain less, make you feel comfortable, appreciated & make you look forward to working with them again while the least paying paying clients do the exact opposite

Very very true statement, I have been experienced this exact same thing.

I'm telling my cheap clients, "I am getting a raise, and you're paying for it". Thank you for the inspiration.

Great advice. I did a event for a friends family member and gave her a great price . At the end of the event all she did was complain and say she expected more. I will never sell my self short again .

Omg thank you now I can sleep at night I have had people try to dictate my prices, ask for more when they clearly cannot afford and here come the heaven sent clients that love my boutique and pay full price. Loved this video. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one that is getting those clients but no more! I am getting paid for my worth!❤️

Especially when you know your prices are affordable for the market or in most cases even below market value and they still want a low ball you don't deal with them somebody who appreciates your work will gladly pay you and even ask why your prices are so low for the work that you do. Thank you for the comment keep grinding!!

I own a auto repair shop and the worst thing I ever did was offer discounts all it did was bring in cheap people worst thing ever. People come to my shop for quality work. If a customer tells me they have someone that can do it cheaper and try to low ball me I tell them the price is what it is we do quality work so if cheap is what you want my shop isn’t for you. It takes time but eventually you will get good customers that just want a quality job done at a reasonable price. I’m not the most expensive shop, I’m cheaper than the dealers and chain stores but I’m more than the crappy independent shops.
People that don’t understand this aren’t business people. They think “isn’t it better to take in every last bit of work”? The answer is absolutely not! You don’t want to be known for being cheap for one because then everyone with start to know your cheap then you will be super busy not making money. You will need to hire more employees to not make money. I’d rather do 5 quality jobs that make money then 15 jobs cheap because these 15 customers not only did you not make money but they will come back to complain about something.
Some businesses are based off cheap people like bargain outlets they sell junk cheap and it works for them. But then you have stores that sell quality stuff for the people that know hey if I spend the extra money I can get a quality piece that I know I want and it will last me a while. Same thing with Apple they make quality cell phones if you want a cheap 100 buck phone you don’t buy an Apple iPhone.

100% agree. I'm a graphic web designer and I've had clients who like to lowball me all the time. I had a client who is a doctor and wanted a 50-60 page website and only wanted to pay $500. hahahahah I told him to add another 0 to that ($5000). He was so pissed to hear that. I told him if you want a $500 site it would include nothing, just HTML with No CSS and just plain text and you have to edit all the text yourself. Again he was so pissed to hear to that. hahahahahhahahhahahha Cheap bastard Doctor.

If you are developing the website from scratch with html, css, you should have charged $15,000+. Don’t underestimate your skill set!

Clients always ask if they remove something from my package can they get a cheaper price. I tell them no and ask them when they go to mcdonalds and ask for a cheese burger with no ketchup, do they charge you less for no ketchup?

I work in luxury retail 14 years under my belt. Customers ar happy to get a bargain they usually ask upfront. Working in sales bargaining comes with it. If a client asks you for a discount very likely he asks other businesses as well or he doesn't see your product or service worth the price tag. It can mean that he is not meant to be ur client or ur product is just not worth it. Many brands they do brand value audit to understand if they are over or under priced. Instead of venting out your frustration on you tube which is not going to help take a hard look over your business

    • @WeddingVideographyTips

I'm talking about clients who go in Gucci stores expecting to get Gap prices. For example telling a videographer who has drones & $10,000 worth of equipment their work is perfect and you want them to charge you the same as somebody who has $1,000 worth of equipment. It doesn't make any sense to me especially when your work actually justifies the pricing to be honest most of us even under price our services just to meet our market so it's frustrating when a person comes and wants to lowball you even more

    • @vaibhavesrivastava8645

@@WeddingVideographyTips I understand your point. However, in selling products or services such customers are very common. There is no other way around. It's inherent nature of the sale to come across unqualified prospects. Customers are looking for the best deal they are oblivious or choose to be oblivious that you put immense hard work into the job expecting them to understand the value of ur job will most of the time leave u frustrated. Though with experience you will know if the prospect is worth your time or not which am sure by now you can sniff out within 1st interaction.

Broke and cheap is two completely different thing.

  • @BrewReview
    @BrewReview 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

But see..usually, you don’t know they’re a cheap client until you’re dealing with them already, lol. Certainly you learn to spot them a mile away, but for those starting out, it’s usually a trial by fire.
I agree though. You’re running a business, not a charity. This isn’t India and we don’t haggle here for rates/price. Just tell these clients I’m that if they can’t afford it, they’re likely not your target clientele. Never back down on your rates and know your worth. Realistically, know your worth, don’t be “that” guy charging exorbitant rates and have nothing to show for it, of course..
Also pro tip: have black and white deliverables including the number of post production revisions they get. Then, charge an hourly rate afterward for extra work. Don’t get stuck in post, fixing this, moving that, etc. that is going to kill any potential profit you may be making.
I like your delivery man, not afraid to curse and tell it like it really is. Subbed out of precedence, lol.
