    John Wall recently ripped his old team - the Houston Rockets - on a podcast. He called his time there “trash” and brought up some serious red flags. If he’s correct it is seriously troubling for the young roster - but is he right?

    When I see Rockets plays, I know something is wrong. Young players are so full of themselves except Sengun. It looks like they only used Sengun whenever they have no options what to do with the ball and not so much offense running through him. Thats bad! I don't say that Sengun can be Jokic but at least Rockets should give him the opportunity what he can do as the 1st option. I think the closest Sengun can be is Domantas Sabonis, which also a very good player. Maybe now Sengun should find a team where he can burst out his full potential instead of only being a back up man whenever Jalen Green, Kevin Porter and Jabari Smith make mistakes.

    He's right, a lot of young players don't live up to their potential because teams just let their high draft picks do as they please without instilling fundamentals. You can have all the scoring talent in the world, but it doesn't matter if you never work on the little things. No one cares if you can score 25 if you can't play defense or make plays, teams would much rather have a less talented scorer that can play smart within a system and can put effort into the less glamorous aspects of the game.

I still remember Silas should be good (was good with Luka) and was hired to coach Harden but it fell apart because Harden wanted out right before Silas gets the opportunity to actually coach. No matter how fast your car is, if the driver sucks, u wont break records and that driver is Rafael Stone! The only GM that sits right next to players and coach in interviews, might be scared they say something he dont like. I also remember he was sitting right next to Wall during the interview and Wall behaved like a confused and scared sheep during the interview.

    John wall not the same player he use to be with all the injuries that happened to him it is unfortunate but not every one is able to come through tough injuries it hard to be a pro with tall the pressure that surrounds you and the attention they receive. And the constant pain they have to go through to fight for respect and to fight for wins is not the easy being a pro. And it comes with a lot of challenges and responsibilities, with tough lessons. It comes with so much drama and other emotions. It is emotionally game to play and it takes your mental understanding of the game to be
    Something great along side with risks, and it is all about having strong motivation to do something that no one thinks you can do. About learning from your mistakes and getting outside your comfort being Able adapt to the pro league environment it takes you being locked in and holding your self to a accountable. And you have to be willing to sacrifices for the team to find a way to make a difference by helping them win. And it takes trust and confidence to be successful.

      This past combine he was the only player to measure with 11 inch width hands. For reference, Kawhi Leonard measured at 11.25, and is known for his enormous hands. 7'2 wingspan at 6'8 with great athleticism

    If it comes to Sixers, one bad move less and they could be champs not even once : Give the contract to Jimmy instead of Harris.Just imagine this year roster with Maxey,Harden,Embiid and Butler, that's like 3 players from Top 20-30 in the league and Maxey is propably around top 50 too.
    The process if it comes to draft.. it worked, but winning chips is not just a good draft, look at Thunder drafting 3 MVPs within 3 years.

      @alfredogonzalez7250 We'll see...I've been a Rockets fan since the late 80's, they've gone through hard times before. Everybody likes to overreact to things...dumping on HOU is trendy right now. The reason the Rockets are in the spot they're in is because of Harden, and they were forced to rebuild...the Paul trade was because of Harden. I think after this next draft, they need to get a new coach, and some guys that can develope players and they'll be alright. I'd like to have Van Gundy or Mark Jackson...they got the most out of their players, and got them playing hard on defense.

  • @wevlogbecausewecan477
    @wevlogbecausewecan477 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Rockets are in that bad of a place honestly. They have plenty of cap-space this summer, 2 potential franchise players in Jalen Green and Alperen Snegun, plus the highest odds currently at Victor. John Wall is just airing out dirty laundry. Come back in a year and if there are still a dumpster fire then I will agree and move on. However, we have to see the process through before we can bash it

  • @atsk3281
    @atsk3281 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree with Wall take! Rebuild can't be - young players jacking up random shots. They need to be hold accountable for they decisions on the court. That's how developing comes.

  • @frostythekrowman

    Rockets should be playing thru sengun and jabari, but for tanking reasons they rather let the two ball hogs, kpj and jalen green, continue to jack up awful contested shots 🤢🤮

  • @ericmausbach1808
    @ericmausbach1808 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wall's problem is that he still thinks he's something special...that he's relevant. The Rockets traded for him, in order to get a 1st round pick and get something in return for Westbrook's contract...and there were no other options. I mean, nobody wanted Westbrook, and the Wizards traded Wall and a #1 for a guy no one wanted....what does that say about Wall's value at the time? Rockets and Wizards traded for each other's problem child. Wall and Russ were both demanding trades. Did ya think the Rockets were gonna build a team around you Mr. Wall? Plus, Wall could have opted out of the last year of his contract, but the money was more important to him, than playing basketball. Can't blame him for that, but that was his choice...I don't feel sorry for his rich ass. He got basically 90 million to do nothing...that's most people's dream. So, shut your mouth, and go enjoy your money...and quit crying about what you did to yourself...enjoy retirement or being a bench player. If he doesn't understand that teams that are in rebuilding mode purposefully tank, than he's pretty stupid.

    Free Tari Eason and Sengun! I hate when teams don’t utilize their young talent especially in the position the rockets are in where they are clearly not chasing wins. Tari is a rookie and is already better than most guys on the team but Silas gives him no minutes. This was the case with Sengun too, until recently where the coaching staff decided to pull their heads out of their asses and actually let bro ball out. Frustrating when you clearly aren’t competing for wins but at the same time not allowing your young guns to develop early
