    From personal experience avoid trimming a beard or moustache when you need to, do it when you want to

    I always appreciate the guidance that you guys are providing. I'm no expert, but it's definitely important for me to be able to fully maintain my beard & mustache on my own. I've just heard too many horror stories of beard trims gone wrong at the hands of professionals. Keep the great content coming, brother!

    I clipped my top line using an envelope as a guide (nice and straight and contoured to my cheek). I trimmed down the burns and got it just right this time. I leave the fly-a-ways…there are none that I think are wild enough for me to fix right now. When I have in the past, I have messed up. The under beard is okay for now. Thanks for your guidance. As always, brother…BEARD ON!

    After 2 years, I'm definitely starting to think about trimming my beard and it's great to have these types of videos to show me how to start
    Question - Spencer I see you "hedge trimming" your beard, but I've heard the flyways that you cut today are part of tomorrows awesome beard day. Over time aren't you losing density and thickness in your beard by trimming these hairs, instead of managing them using styling oil and balm?

    • @ThreadBomb
      @ThreadBomb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. If the side of your beard is thin, then you'll want to protect every hair, but if you have good coverage, then you can focus more on neatness.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey brother, great question. We suggest that you style your beard before a trim because we style our beards every day, therefore that is how our beards look every day. We keep a consistent look this way, and while some fly always pop up here and there, we aren't trimming every single day so we don't lose much density of fullness in our beard. Some parts of your beard will grow faster than others, in most cases, so this helps keeps them all even and with a really clean and full look. We don't use balms though, as they tend to have a stronger hold with a more tacky feel and may actually off put your beard. We suggest these methods using Live Bearded Butter because of the light to medium hold and the soft feel it keeps your beard! Have a great day brother, let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you in any way.

      Hey brother, he asked us our opinion so we suggested what works for us. Our products aren't for everyone, and we aren't here to pitch those. We're here to support beardsmen in any way we can. He asked an honest question and we gave an honest answer based on our personal knowledge and experience. We got everyone's back, regardless of products used. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

      Hey, I'm late, but using live bearded products is the best move I've ever made for my face. Completely wasted money on the other brands I've used. No more dry hair, no more itch, no more beard dandruff, smells amazing, and almost everytime I go out to a show at my favorite bar there's been a girl who feels my beard. If that happened before LB I would have been embarrassed for someone to feel it, now its incredibly soft and smells incredible and I've never been more proud of my face 😁

I obviously shower and wash it but I leave the fallen beer in it. I believe it works like how old people use to was babies heads with beer lol to make their hair grow

    Hi brother, trying to mimic your beard Spencer. Really well done sir. Just wondering do you ever at any point use a guard to go over your whole beard to keep it from getting "too thick"? I'm assuming you have a certain thickness that you prefer. I tried your treating the beard like a hedge but wondering if you eventually use a guard. If so what guard number do you usually use? Any info would help me as I am trying to avoid barbers at the moment. Also about to order a batch of your products this week. Great work guys thank you for all that you guys do. ✌ from a bearded brother in Canada.

      Jacob Albers Hey I appreciate your advice thank you. My beard is just above my Adams Apple so I have a little more growing to do. I noticed that my hairs at the bottom of my beard flare outward. Is it because they need to get a little longer so they hang down more? Or would that be part of the treat it like a hedge and come down to get rid of them?

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bro, gravity will take over after it gets some length. You can always get some butter and use a blow dryer and good quality brush or comb as well! Hardest part is just leaving it alone for about 4 months while your growth patterns really come through.

    Spencer I would like to ask you a question. I am loosing lots of hairs on a daily bases, is there a reason why this can be happening? My beard is kind of curly and I am using my Beard Shampoo, Beard Oil and Beard Balm, also I need to wash it 2 time a day because of work and also because I had some problems with pimples so when I started washing it up twice a day that problem with the pimples was over. At this point I have almost 11 months growing out my beard.
    Thanks bro I really appreciate your help.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey brother! Losing beard hairs is normal. You can lose upwards of 100 a day in some cases, and it's just fine. But be sure that the products you are using are all natural with NO chemicals, especially of you are washing twice a day. Obviously we suggest using our Live Bearded line of all natural wash, oil and butter, but even if you do not choose us, read the ingredients. This will not only help your beard, but your skin as well!

    I have a question,I shaped my beard today i am at 3 weeks of growth, i took my nickline about a finger above the adam's apple, yours is exactly at it, so should i shave it and start over?
    i'm aiming for the full beard like yours

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bro. First off, a finger width above is where you should be. Second, we suggest not touching your beard at all for 3-4 months aside from your neck line and cheek line. So, you seem to be on the right track so long as you leave everything else alone!
