    Ingredients:
    For Marinade:
1 whole chicken, cut into desired size pieces
A few chopped or grated garlic cloves
    Dry Chicken Rub:
    Salt
    White pepper
    Chicken bullion powder
    Sugar
    Wet Chicken Rub:
    Oyster sauce
    Sesame oil
    Chinese rice wine
    Olive oil
    1 egg
    Corn starch
    For Coating:
    1 cup All-purpose flour
    A few tablespoons of cornstarch
    For Frying:
    Vegetable oil for deep frying
    Instructions:
    Marinating the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine the chopped or grated garlic cloves with the dry chicken rub ingredients: salt, white pepper, chicken bullion powder, and sugar.
Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and thoroughly coat them with the dry rub mixture.
In a separate bowl, prepare the wet chicken rub by combining oyster sauce, sesame oil, Chinese rice wine, olive oil, egg, and cornstarch.
Pour the wet rub over the chicken pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated. Massage the marinade into the chicken.
Let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator, or longer if desired, to allow the flavors to penetrate.
    Coating the Chicken:
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch to create the coating mixture.
Take each marinated chicken piece and coat it thoroughly in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
    Frying the Chicken:
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the chicken in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
Once cooked, transfer the fried chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
    Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the Chinese garlic fried chicken hot and crispy, garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro if desired.
Pair it with steamed rice and your favorite dipping sauce for a delicious and satisfying meal!
Follow these simple steps to create this irresistible Chinese garlic fried chicken that's bursting with flavor and perfect for any occasion. Enjoy your homemade culinary delight! 🍗🧄

Another good recipe. I’ve tried your wing recipe but will do some piece’s next time. I wouldn’t recommend chopping on the ceramic cook top though that’s what bench tops are for.

Awesome fried chicken! I could hear those crispy pieces crunched as they rubbed against each other when you moved them around on each other! So, you initially set your temperature at 190 degrees, then 200 degrees, then 240 degrees for the final fry? Thanks for posting this awesome video! I’m gonna try your recipe on the whole chicken that I have in my freezer!

For those that might not know, he used celsius to measure his tempts and not Fahrenheit like I initially thought until I read another person’s comment!

I prefer to buy a whole chicken and cut it the way you taught us, than to buy it in separate parts.

I was worried about your glass stove top cracking while you were chopping the chicken up. I hope your glass stove top didn't break while you were chopping the chicken up. I really enjoyed the rest of your show on cooking fried chicken. Thanks. Please use your kitchen countertop the next time you chop things us, for safety reasons?

I will try this recipe, but I don't think we needed to endure chicken cooking in real time, watching chicken fry for twenty minutes was unnecessary.

You can fast-forward to skip what you don’t want to watch! I like the whole process because sometimes the creator skipped a crucial part of the process when they tried to shorten their video so that when I tried to recreate what they did I ended up missing a crucial step that made my fried chicken taste like 💩!

$137 is what KFC and Popeyes charge for that much chicken! And still they’re not good because they sit on the heater for 6-7 hours!
