Another great video. Thank you 90 min level 2 runs are a key part of my training every week. The finale of the week & a reward on my 6th consecutive day - with a rest day to follow Is it possible to get any other gain from this session. Ie compromised running is a key hyrox skill - does adding a really hard hill sprint at the end of session benefit or undo the hard work done by preceding 1.25 mins of level 2.
It is certainly an option for you to add that at the end, however I would prefer to have someone use tempos, thresholds and hill work on another seperate day so that the energy systems being trained are not interfering with each other. However depending on when in your season you do this, and how, it is certainly an option. So for example maybe 4-8 weeks out from a comp where you have to start introducing that compromised work it could be an option. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
@@stevencollinstraining Yeah but if you ran 17:48 2 years ago, you'll probably be okay. If your all time pb is 25:05 then there is absolutely no chance you're going sub 20 in 10 weeks. I wish you all the luck in the world by the way, I'm not having a dig

Steven, I go on a 7-10 mile long run on Sundays.
Awesome 👏🏼
@@stevencollinstraining I'll keep you posted once I reach that sub 20 min goal bro
Sub 20 min 5K is my goal and the closest I got to it so far is 21:46
This is a solid pace if you can get it, you are pretty close at 21:46! Make sure to watch my other videos on aerobic methods too
@@stevencollinstraining I'll watch those videos as well; thanks for the great content.
I'm sorry but going from a 25 min to a 20 min 5k is an absolutely insane goal for anything less than 4 months
It's very much achievable - watch this space
@@stevencollinstraining what's your 5k pb?
@@pr9414 25.05 currently
