- The jury in Kyle Rittenhouse's murder trial found the 18-year-old not guilty on all charges.
The jury at Rittenhouse’s trial began deliberating for a fourth day Friday, as prosecutors argued against a defense request for a mistrial, saying there was “no factual or legal basis” for the judge to grant it.
Rittenhouse was on trial for killing two men and wounding a third with a rifle during a turbulent night of protests that erupted in Kenosha, Washington in the summer of 2020 after a Black man, Jacob Blake, was shot by a white police officer. Rittenhouse said he acted in self-defense, while the prosecution argued he instigated the bloodshed.

Anyone who thinks Kyle's reaction here or earlier are "theatrics" is ignorant and cruel. You should be thankful you don't have PTSD. It's debilitating and tears do not always come with a PTSD event. What he had prior was a PTSD episode from recollection. It's very common. I've seen many cases of PTSD and deal with it myself.
What he had here was also a very common reaction to having the potential outcome of the rest of your life, read to you by something outside yourself. Many defendants have collapsed in relief upon a not guilty verdict. The emotional energy that is required for a 3 week trial is tremendous. And he's been waiting on this day for the last year.
Most people will never have to go through what this young man did with pretty remarkable composure.
If the adults had stood up and protected their communities, children wouldn't feel like they have to put themselves in harm's way to protect their family and homes.
By the way, children who were 15 years old and younger at the dawn of our country were defending their families and homes when dad was away at war.
Gun laws for teenagers are actually pretty unconstitutional. It's why they rarely hold up in court. Pretty sure the Constitution just says "Shall NOT be infringed"

Calling him racist when none of the deceased were black. Having all your witnesses turn on you as the prosecutor. Even having one witness say he did point a gun at rittenhouse. Pissing off the judge on 2 or 3 separate occasions as a prosecutor. Having another witness say you tried to get him to change his statement after the fact.

I really wanted Kyle to found guilty. But after watching the entire trial it was self defense. Most of the country knew he was not guilty by the end of the evidence. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the people who have died it is a tragedy. As a black man I can't find fault for someone defending themselves. Yes he should not of even been there. I want to thank the citizens of Kenosha. Everyone of the prosters on both sides made me proud to be an American. Both side showed dignity and respect for each other. The thing that bothered me about this trial and I know my people of color kinda knew this was the right verdict. Not one high profile pastor Al Sharpton Jesse Jackson never once showed up for TV is trial. If they would of thought kyle was guilty one of them would of shown up there.The Georgia trial these 2 men father and son are guilty as sin. The other i have a problem with being charged for murder. The only thing he did was record the murder. Yea his lawyer is a complete idiot for constantly bringing up who is in the courtroom. I do have a question to all people of color about the rittenhouse case. If Kyle was a black man so many of my people would of been on the side of Kyle if her were black....Why. I wish my people and white people would start standing together and truly make this country what it should be. That all races are equel and love each other like we are suppose to.
