Men at Work songs were the anthem of my youth. I learned to play the saxophone when "who can it be now" came out. I fell in love with the soprano saxophone when I heard "overkill" for the first time. I ended up playing professionally and still do. Colin's music still resonates with me. He's one of the musicians I'd love to meet and play with. Thank you for the years of wonderful music Colin.

The Beatles defined the music of my youth. I had the pleasure of seeing Colin Hays in Las Vegas last year and again in San Diego a few months ago. Both times as the songs from the various band members of Ringo Starr's Allstar Band were in my head after the show, it was Colin's voice and a couple of his songs that stood out. They were in my memories and I have been connecting with his music again. I appreciate his work very much.

“Who can it be knocking on my door?
    Stay away
Don’t come round here no more…”
The lyrics by Men at work will forever be etched on my heart
    We love you, Colin,
    We love you so dearly

Thank you, this was a really hearth touching documentary. I like the music from Men at Work already from end of 80ties, when found a old unmarked tape ( in mono ) at home, didn't had a clue, who is actualy singing on that tape for next 10 years, but I was lissening those songs, again, again and again. I still have that tape till these days and takeing care that nothing happens with it, because, it's my first connection to Men at work. When I found out after years who is singing on the tape, I bough all the albums on vinyls and played to my daugther. The band instantly became one of her favorite bands, so much, that I'm careful about my vinyls or she'll scratch them through. Btw, till today I don't know, who recorded and brough that tape to our home, my dad didn't knew it also. But it was there, between the tapes, next to another not marked mono tape ... which was from from The Holies...

It was just circumstances. Circumstances usually dictates most things.
    ...
But I was using you, shamelessly, while I plotted and schemed, tried to figure out how to get back to the lofty peaks of superstardom.
    Where I so clearly belong.
    That was in 1991.
    I had a long-plan term.
    Maravilloso!
    Gracias Colin

He is touring the U.S. next year. Go and see him and take a long look and have a good listen. He is part of a tradition that is fast disappearing.

“You!!” Truly make me see a different present day in your boots. Sadly, in your boots you would’ve been a certain success, be it Glasgow or Melbourne or if your great Daddy had taken you to Vancouver or Toronto, you would’ve been performing today I’m guessing quite similarly. TY for the reflective trip that I rarely find depth in, as deep as a humanitarian that I’ve needed.

The rapid, awful fall of that fantastic band was one of the biggest disappointments of my teenage life. I wanted so badly to enjoy "Two Hearts" and Colin's solo material, but Men at Work without the Men was like Queen with only Freddy Mercury.
If you remove a couple ingredients from a perfect recipe, no matter how insignificant those ingredients might seem, the entire dish completely falls apart.
And once Greg Ham was gone, it was game over.
    Utterly tragic.
That said, I'm very happy to see Colin enjoying happiness and at least some relevance today.
Greg Ham, on the other hand, was utterly consumed by depression and addiction after that idiotic "Kookaburra Trial."
Someone needs to make a video about that tragic cautionary tale, because Greg was arguably half the musical genius that made up Men at Work.

I remember Men At Work, I thought they were a good band. Not a band that I followed but I didn't change the channel when they came on the radio or tv. I knew of Colin Hay but I never really heard his songs outside of Men At Work. After watching this Doc. I feal like I've missed out on a shitload of great music. If he comes to Mass. I will definitely be there to see him live.
