  • Dr. Levitin, along with the Sonos and LACDC, shows us how the evolution of the human brain made possible music, art, science and society as we know them. He does all this while uncovering six fundamental ways that songs communicate emotion and ideas and so have built human nature.

The reason why music is so instilled in us is in the beginning of creation, Planets, Cosmos, Galaxy's ect. a rythem is taking place during any adjustment to form life of any kind. Whether the rythem is fast or slow or steady and strong, a instrument of creation is being harmonize on all levels of existence constantly which is instilled in us . Dancing is a reflex of existence. In the beginning there was light, maybe. but I bet rythem came first

Curious to me, Buddhists are way up the curve, mind and nature of mind are well defined. Soon academics will move past brain functicality , and explore how perception using senses are not awareness , simply objects to awareness. In my opinion this will redefine fundamentalist interpretations of scripture. Dreaming of that glorious day !

Evolutionary theory quickly dismisses the biblical truth of mankind being created by God in His image, which includes intelligence, language, song, and music.

Don't care for the bible reference up front, especially not using the term 'scholar' with it. Also not crazy about the country-musicfied arrangements of classic rock songs.

    The dancing is very cringey.

At some point I just though the dances were just for formalities. Like he never cared much about it. He merely used it to break his monotonous delivery style.
      His points are strong though.
