  • I've made a handful of EzCad test grids in past videos, some for power vs speed and others mainly looking at changes in frequency. The process of setting up 50-100 individual pens and assigning them to little hatch boxes is tedious and time consuming so feel free to download, modify, and use them however you like.

    Your videos are proving to be very useful and informative, thank you so much for taking the time to make them! My 30w fiber arrived today and it installed the driver, and from there it got a little daunting. So different from my co2 laser! So any settings need to be adjusted in EZCad or do the files have the power/freq/ speed already set in them?
    Keep up the great work!

    Hi Jeffery, Your files work great just wondering how to view the settings I know the squares all engrave differently so they clearly have different power and speeds to each but inside easy cad I cant see what they are. Mainly the text and numbers engrave really great but I cant tell what the settings are for them. could you assist I know it been awhile since you made them.

    Your videos have been a great tool for me to learn more about what I can do with my Fiber Laser. But, for the life of me I am failing at getting consistent color results. I allegedly have a 30w MOPA Fiber Laser and when I do your color test grip on stainless steel, I get the colors. However, when I attempt to add color do a to an object replicating those settings in your test grip if fails. I basically get black instead of the colors. So if you can suggest anything I can try that would be great.

      Colors are tough and I really don't use them in my routine marking. You might look for advice on color in one of the facebook fiber groups like this one: facebook.com/groups/547620632495173

    Thanks for making these available. However the 4 additional parameters such as Start, Laser off, end, and polygon I was told by Tykma not to alter those because they are specific to my laser. Will your ezcad file alter of those settings on my setup?

    • @jefferyj
      @jefferyj  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those numbers are your timings and they are specific to your machine. They will transfer with the file, so you can edit them if you want to match your timings but it will be tedious. It shouldn't cause any issue to use them as they are in the file, the quality of the edges of the boxes and text just won't be very good.

    Hello jeffery thankyou for you amazing life saving videos. I have one question i am trying to replicate a nice black mark same as the 0.001 hatch. If i select just that square it leaves a perfect black mark. But when i try lettering with the same power settings and hatch settings it turns the marks white?? (Same bit of material) i even opened your test file made another square using pen 7 and hatch settings and still same issue. Do you have any advice or tips to keep it balck?? Thanks

    • @jefferyj
      @jefferyj  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd guess there must be a mismatch somewhere between the settings (or possibly hatch 2 or 3 somehow was enabled). Maybe try writing down the hatch settings as well as the pen settings you want to use and start fresh with a new file to test just to ensure you're using the settings you want.
