- Hello! My name is Stick the Eagle (“Stick” for short) and I am currently attempting a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. I am traveling NOBO from Georgia to Maine. Bemis Stream looks a lot different from last year on Nahamsha's video! I guess most of the time it's actually a fairly easy stream. It's just those flash floods that are worrisome! I'm glad you are having dry weather for a spell so that the water crossings aren't as bad.

Crazy how dried up the streams are. But I'm kinda glad they are for safety sake.
Theres been some nice areas for tents along the way.

Great that the ankle is doing well and be glad for all the good dry weather you have been having. Short of that one Sat night with Frizzle, you are in a two+ week dry spot, which is hardening up the trail. I think it was Chuck And Bluegrass that came through right after tropical storm Debbie remnants and they found the river crossings and mud much worse.
I am thankful for the trail being a bit harder lately. It is a nice change from other parts north of the Whites!

Within calendar months can stretch across 2 years in reality. It doesn't have to be January to December. It could be June to June for an example.
