Guys! Plan your trip very well! We’re a family of 4. We bought 4 round trip plane tickets. Stayed at a lovely Disney resort 7 day and days 6 nights. Bought tickets to all 4 parks for 4 days, We rented a real nice car for 6 days. Spent $40 in gas in total! Its also very smart to grocery shop! We did 3Xs and took all our super healthy food back to our hotel, bought lots of water, fruits, veggies, salads, plant milks, and other healthy snacks) I also bought 3 super cute extra Disney shirts and other clothes for everyone else. We also enjoyed good food and drinks at the park, we bought our kids several Disney toys at the gift shops. We dined out for dinner for 6 nights straight. We even went to a beautiful beach in Tampa for a whole day! And only spent $5600 in total! Not bad at all! We’ll be going back for sure!❤

Well if you don’t stay at a super expensive hotel and then cut out the genie+ and go during off season, it could be like half that price. still expensive but def not 7k. If you stay just 20 minutes outside of Disney you can find cheaper rooms that aren’t $600 a night!
I've gone to Disney plenty of times, and it was never anywhere near as expensive as this, because I'd stay at a cheap resort, not buy $300 of merch, wait in line like everyone else, and, luckily, I live an hour from Disney World, so no plane or rental car needed either.
Staying at any Disney resort is like taking your money and setting it on fire. You won’t be there any time at all. Just long enough to hopefully bathe and sleep. Last time I went to Disney my wife and I and 4 kids stayed at a townhouse 15 minutes away from the parks and 4 nights only cost us $600. And we all had our own rooms.
Yeah. Me and my family go once a year, and we’re a family of 9 so I understand. Of course it’s not me paying for it, it’s my parents. But I do understand how expensive Disney gotten the past few years. I really hope once I pay for my own vacations it’s not as bad. But that’s unlikely since prices are constantly going up.

Who knows how much food and drink will cost and how much stuff we'll get. Excited for the trip though
For that amount go to Disneyland Paris, flights round trip for 2 in march during spring break about 1500 round trip, tickets for Disneyland Paris 3 days 150-200 each.

True but you could go disney but not stay on resort and go for longer lol plus have a 5 bedroom villa with a private pool unlike hotel pools which close at 10pm...ie when you get back from theme parks on evening anyways. Plus having a rental car for over two weeks. Me and my husband went and spent just over 7k for 18 days with rental car an amazing private villa with private pool very close to disney. We had disney, universal, sea world and busch gardens tickets. We had no issues getting to parks was very easy with car.
Wow, I haven't paid the last few times I went. The biggest splurge was when son in law included me on the 7 day family Disney trip. They had 7 kids under 18 and 2 over. He paid for a 2 bdrm suite and 2 single rooms at Wilderness Kingdom. They gave me the Master bedroom! Great kids. They paid for meal plans for everyone and other bells and whistles. I'm assuming that was way over $20k I wish it was more affordable.
Wife and I drove a 250$ rental car eco/hybrid coast us less than 100 to get to Florida from Iowa AND halfway back. Did an air bnb for 2 nights cheap as hell, went to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom that was our main costs, we spent well under 1200 for 2 people that's also including our universal studios and Islands of adventure day as well.
And all I want to do is take my family of 4 to Disneyland. I sound bitter and I really shouldn’t be. They had an amazing vacation. That’s awesome. Sincerely.
I went to Disney in 2021 when Covid was still happening and stayed in a Disney vacation club room at animal kingdom. It was hella cheap cause of the timing and so were our flights. You can afford to do this cheap just have a pandemic going on
My parents are taking my family (5 people in total) to Disneyworld for 10 days and we live across the world! Now I’m wondering how they are going to afford it 😂
In Paris we noticed that there is a big difference in quality of the food, the souvenirs, the waiting time in comparison with 6 years ago. We experienced on the whole a set back in quality and Disney magic. It is a shame because it is a lot of money you have to save to go to Disney.
Wow, yes that’s a lot considering it was only 4 days. My husband and I came from the U.K. and spent £4500 for 2 weeks off property/economy BA flights/14 day Disney hopper tickets/3 day Universal tickets/1 night at Loews Royal Pacific/Ubers/Halloween Horror night/ 2 ILL each. Then £3k on food and merch. That’s around $8915 according to today’s conversion figures (we went October 2023) Looks like you had a fab time through.
Like $1900 dollars a person. $500 more and you could go abroad to japan or thailand for like 2 weeks. Disney just isn't worth the price anymore, and the business analytics agree with that people are going less or not at all.
That’s much more expensive than it needs to be! We’re staying a 15 min drive from Disney for 2 weeks for $900. A clean modern hotel with a pool and on site IHOP, perfectly good to sleep at. An 8 day hopper+ Disney pass for both of us is $1300, car hire $300, return flights for both from the UK $1400. So $3900 for two whole weeks doesn’t seem too bad…
Honesty, for less than $2K a person (including flights) on a splurge trip (these days) sounds pretty good. Back in 2016, I did a splurge trip with a friend, staying at Grand Floridian, but for 6 days for $1500pp
Disney sure has gotten expensive from its parks to it streaming services. Last time i went when i was 20, im almost 40 now. Glad they enjoy themselves, that’s what really counts
Whoa! Walt Disney NEVER intended his resort to cost that much! He wanted a place that the average American family could enjoy AND AFFORD! For shame! For shame!
Doesn't surprise me. My last 7 day at a moderate resort for 4 people with park hopper, with airlines, and food was about 8,000. The Genie plus ripoff didn't exist yet.
My upcoming trip is $5,463.82 before discounted Disney gift cards for two people for 12 nights in a standard room at Pop Century. $1,100 on food in four days? Try $690.95 in 12 days. Half the people, but three times as long. I'm not eating everything just because it looks good. I don't need that much food. I have the money to pay for all of the food that catches my eye. I just choose to limit the amount of weight I put on. You are free to spend your money how you want, but there is no doubt you are overspending.
Since my sister works at one of the Disney hotels, we get 4 free passes, free parking, and 50% discounts off food and items. We either stay at a hotel (not often) or stay at her place. At most we spend like 200 bucks max We usually spend 100 dollars though. We don’t usually get lightning or genie+ not yet at least. But we still have the best time and go on a lot of rides
Me and my wife r going in October of this year and it’s 4800. We paid for a dinning plan and memory maker. And we r staying at all star sports. It’s her first trip.. but I still think it’s outrageous that we have to pay that much just for two people
When i was a kid i would go with my dad after work. Do a roller coaster or 3, get ice cream, look around the glass shop, then go home. Lived in irvine so we were close. Blows my find that a $20 trip has turned into realistically a $2000 to revisit my childhood.
So glad I get the resident discount and SoCal teachers discount. Your school or county has to sign up for the teachers/ staff discount . It’s so you get I think 40% off all SoCal amusement parks including certain aquariums. Shout out to my cousin who was a teacher in Moreno Valley for the last 25 years ! Been paying $90 for year and when it was actually $90 before tax . I would pay $55 after tax for a two day park hopper plus free parking . Now that’s a steal !
People say Genie isn't worth it, but i totally disagree. For $380 including ILL's you more than likely double the rides you would have without it and waited a lot less for only a small portion of the overall trip value and in my opinion, that's probably the investment in the trip that's the most fun!
Depends on when you go. And if you watch the waiting times in the app. I was able to do Big Thunder Mountain with a 25 min wait time because it was temporarily closed before. The rest of the day it was 70-80 min wait time. Even the most popular rides will sometimes go down during for example lunch and dinner time. With some planning and flexibility you can save a lot of waiting
I live 1 hrs 20 min away from disney every time I got I only have to pay for genie plus food and gas not only we disney and universal pass holders people pay way to much just for disney
Seems overpriced me and my husband spent 7k but that was for 18 days. Pop century is a shitty hotel for the price honestly. For that price you could have got a villa like 5 min drive from disney with your own private pool amd 5 bedrooms...plus universal Sea world and busch gardens tickets and a rental car.
So that's roughly 2,000 per person. Last time I went to Disney World, it cost me a family of 3 $3,700.00 for 10 days flew from the West Coast. My airline ticket was $300.00 round trip on American Airlines. I got a deal at the grocery store. Buy 150.00 worth of food, get a round trip ticket for 300.00 to go anywhere in the US. Stayed at the Sports and Music resort. That's insanely overpriced compared to when I went.
No, it doesn’t surprise me. But it does sadly because Disney is no longer available to everyone. Before the pandemic we were annual passholders living in Arkansas and will go at least twice a year and now we can only one time every two years.
I went to Disney World on a dime. I drive , we used the dining package when they had it And bought small souvenirs. One trip Cast members Dakota and Ashley made my son and my trip AMAZING. I will NEVER forget them. We weren't having a Good time Cast Members were RUDE to us and one even called me son a Retard. But Dakota and Ashley turned that day around. I NEVER want to go back but my son wants to try again. So maybe someday
If I had 8000$ to spend on a 4 day vacation, I’m 10000000% not spending it on a touristy place. I’m going somewhere for a change of scenery, getting a nice hotel room and spending most of my money on food and buying stuff.
this is all unnecessary. For me and my wife and baby we got 700$ for the round trip tickets. Add the 677$ for the hotel at international drive. About 600$ in tickets and 200$ in car rental. We'll probably be spending 3k
that is sooooo much cheaper than I thought it would be. Im planning my family reunion (centered around my daughter’s birthday since my family is a matriarchy and she is the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter) and it’s coming out WAYYY cheaper than I thought.

@@arabelle9859 I hope so too! It’s gonna be at the start of next year
@@pippinthehedgehogs oh nice! It’s gonna be in a little while but hope it turns out good
@@arabelle9859 that’s exciting! Tell me how it goes if you remember

In Paris we noticed that there is a big difference in quality of the food, the souvenirs, the waiting time in comparison with 6 years ago. We experienced on the whole a set back in quality and Disney magic. It is a shame because it is a lot of money you have to save to go to Disney.
my family of 7 spent around the same amount for a week long disney trip it's all about where and how you spend your money🧐
Fun, adventure is priceless.
No!!! No!!!! Omgosh go to Switzerland, go to Alaska! Go to Italy almafi coast. Girl I’ve lived here in Orlando my whole life. I would never. Ever!!!!
Like $1900 dollars a person. $500 more and you could go abroad to japan or thailand for like 2 weeks. Disney just isn't worth the price anymore, and the business analytics agree with that people are going less or not at all.
Yeah I rather take a Royal Caribbean cruise for half that price and for 7 nights
PLEASE tell me where you got that Epcot looking purse
Whoa!
Walt Disney NEVER intended his resort to cost that much! He wanted a place that the average American family could enjoy AND AFFORD!
For shame! For shame!
That’s insane!
Doesn't surprise me. My last 7 day at a moderate resort for 4 people with park hopper, with airlines, and food was about 8,000. The Genie plus ripoff didn't exist yet.
Folks, that cost is divided by 4, so abt $1900 for each adult. It's not cheap but definitely doable if you save for a few months.
The sad thing is that you used to be able to do an entire Disney trip for what merchandise and genie plus will cost you nowadays
You did pretty well on food!
At most we spend like 200 bucks max
We usually spend 100 dollars though. We don’t usually get lightning or genie+ not yet at least. But we still have the best time and go on a lot of rides
Dang! Ima ask a family member of mine to start working there lol!
My family went to Disney it was 13k minus food and planes for 5 people
4 days I’m staying for 2 weeks thanks for the advice >3
Me and my wife r going in October of this year and it’s 4800. We paid for a dinning plan and memory maker. And we r staying at all star sports. It’s her first trip.. but I still think it’s outrageous that we have to pay that much just for two people
I recommend all the Anne of Green Gables books, they get more Christian as you progress, especially when an important minister character is introduced
$380 for genie+ which used to be free fast passes. That’s the part I may miss the past THE MOST. The system was working just fine. Now it’s a mess.
About 2k per person not horrible
I went to Disney in Tokyo, paid about 200 bucks
Fly Hawaiian its nice the flight is always smooth and a lot of the people are nice you might see me working on one of your flights.
Very reasonable considering flights and everything included good job
Yea what a splurge! Caviar and champagne everywhere!😂
I live 1 hrs 20 min away from disney every time I got I only have to pay for genie plus food and gas not only we disney and universal pass holders people pay way to much just for disney
$4-5k for my girlfriend and I. Southwest flights, pop century resort and tickets to parks seven days with food.
Yikes! Do you think it was worth it?
So maybe someday
i cam drive to disney it only takes like two days
I am going next year but not just disney world going to see other things in Florida I wanted to go thus year but it sadly won't happen thus year now
Beet salad with dressed up canned beets… amazing
So even with passholder you still have to pay your tickets. Pass holders is not unlimited entrance????!!😮
Please do a 4 people but one day
I would've swapped the lodging expense with the food expense.
It’s crazy to think that there are people out there selling used cars for less than this trip.
how much is it for 5 pelpol
I have never been to disney and with these prices i think ill never know it :(
If I had 8000$ to spend on a 4 day vacation, I’m 10000000% not spending it on a touristy place. I’m going somewhere for a change of scenery, getting a nice hotel room and spending most of my money on food and buying stuff.
Well guess what? ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!
@@Helloimallison13 damn bruh chill out who hurt you
Me and my family go to Disney every year and there is six kids and two adults and it cost just about $10,000 for tickets
That’s why I’ll never stay at the resort, get 2 hopper day tickets and get an Airbnb for half the prince of a room for a week
From my country it would take roughly 25k to go
Just went to Japan for a fraction of a fraction of that
I spent for everything around 5-6k for a family of 5
What about car drive
You could go to Europe on that. No wonder people cannot afford rent.
Moved to Orlando
this is all unnecessary.
For me and my wife and baby we got 700$ for the round trip tickets.
Add the 677$ for the hotel at international drive.
About 600$ in tickets and 200$ in car rental.
We'll probably be spending 3k
Short story shorter I need $10k ready to go in my pocket got it
I went by myself stayed at the cheapest resort 5 days and spent $5,000
Not bad at all 😂 I was thinking 10k plus
Nope I went to California Disneyland for 2 days and universal studios 1 day cost me 8000 plus I drove but not bad for Disney World
that is sooooo much cheaper than I thought it would be. Im planning my family reunion (centered around my daughter’s birthday since my family is a matriarchy and she is the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter)
and it’s coming out WAYYY cheaper than I thought.
I’ll never afford to go anywhere like this & I think I’m learning to except this.
Its truly not worth that price. You can do it for so much less. Split an Airbnb with friends. Use uber. Eat cheap.
You can do it for soo so much less. You could do dosney for 2-3k for two weeks
Insane!!! Disney is way too much money now.😆
I would rather go to Hawaii or CanCun😅
Im going 6 people for 14 days
Woooow!!
You're probably the type of person to complain that college is too expensive
$1900 each isn’t bad
Ouch.
We went in 2022 for mickeys not so scary halloween parade and stayed at POP for 5 days and spent 7K.
