You guys rock. Sublimation on the top of a 30 oz tumbler is not too difficult but trying to do the whole cup is another story. Can you guys do a video showing how to apply a picture to the whole 30 oz cup? I would like to see 1 picture applied from the top of a 30 oz tumbler to the very bottom. Thank you for the videos!!
Thank you for the tutorial. Would you share the specific oven you use and/or a comparable one? Especially one that would allow for the height of the tallest tumblers. Thank you in advance.
Right, you could get two out of one sleeve, hence saving time, plastic and money. Doesn't make sense to take the time to fit the sleve in a place it doesn't need to be, then to heat it, then to remove it. I'm all about efficiency 💕🌺
It is special ink. You can do them in a regular oven but it may take longer and the heat may not be consistent because there is no airflow around the tumbler. Do not use the same oven you use for cooking.
Whenever I sublimate using shrink wrap I end up with particles either inside or around the lip. How can I remove these pieces without damaging the tumbler?
@@JDSINDUSTRIES thank you! I bought that and put on two coats. The paper stuck to the glaze though. I put it in a convection oven at 365* for 6 minutes. Any help? Thank you again for the response!
After speaking with our sublimation department they say to let the coating dry and then cook the coating in your oven before applying your transfer and sublimating! If you have more questions our sub team may be able to talk you through it. You can reach them at 855.782.4657!
went to your website to register and to look into buying some things and i take it if your not a company you wont sell anything to the general public?,
Hello, Thank you for the video! I have a couple of questions. 1. What kind of convection oven are you using in the video? 2. Do you recommend a certain convection oven? (one that isn't specifically designed for dye sub, one you could buy in a local store) 3. Do you have to use shrink wrap or can you just use wraps?
Our oven is an Oster model TSSTTVFDXL. Convection ovens are best because of the air circulation. Do not use the small toaster oven - they do not have consistent heat. You can use either the shrink wrap or the silicone wraps - whichever works best for you.
That is correct. Because we are strictly a wholesale distributor we do not collect sales tax so we can only sell to business that do collect sales tax from their customers.

Our oven is an Oster model TSSTTVFDXL. For the taller tumblers, we take out the rack and set the tumbler on the bottom of the oven.
You can sublimate on stainless steel tumblers?
These tumblers have a poly coating, making it possible to sublimate on!
Great video, why do you need the shrink wrap?
You need something to apply pressure. You can also use a silicone wrap instead.
Does the shrink wrap need to be on the whole cup or does the pressure just need to be where the design is?
Either way works

Thank you for the video. I have the same type of heat gun, what temperature did you use? Great looking design also!!
We used the lowest setting on the heat gun. There is no temperature setting on ours.
The paper you used for the transfer was it printed on sublimation paper or was a sublimation printer used? Or did you use a regular printer?
It is both a sublimation printer & sublimation paper.
Can you sublimate the whole cup including the curve like a full wrap? I want to try sublimation
If you can get the transfer to conform without buckling or puckering, yes.
Will the transfers work in a conventional oven? And are the transfers printed with the special ink?
It is special ink. You can do them in a regular oven but it may take longer and the heat may not be consistent because there is no airflow around the tumbler. Do not use the same oven you use for cooking.

Try wrapping copy paper around the tumbler before applying the shrink wrap. the paper should go beyond the edge of the tumbler.
Are those oven safe for any stainless tumbler?
BTW thanks for the tutorial.
As long as the tumbler is coated for sublimation it will work.
Do they have a snap or slide lid or is it just an open hole?
Just an open hole. We do have slider lids available that are sold separately
Are those regular stainless steel tumblers or do they have some type of coating on them
They have a polymer coating applied that makes them accept the sublimation ink.
Is there a polymer coating that I can buy to put on regular stainless steel cups?
@@tonyaparrish6760 Our sublimation specialists recommend looking into Subliglaze!

I have the exact oven, what settings do you use?
The settings are in the video
Do you have to seal it after? Or epoxy
No sealant needed. Once it is done, it's done. Sublimation is not topical so it does not need any further treatment.
Is a toaster/convection oven similar?
Don't use a toaster oven. They are not powerful enough to keep the heat consistent.
@@JDSINDUSTRIES I ended up picking up the french door convection.
Do you coat your tumblers yourself?
We do not. Coating products yourself is very difficult plus for drinkware the coating must meet food safety standards.
@@JDSINDUSTRIES how do you know they meet those requirements? Does the manufacturer specify it?
The manufacturer does specify it. Call 800-843-8853 for any MSDS info.
What kind of heat gun do you use?
It's a Wagner. I think we got it as Walmart for $20
What kind of tumblers did u use?
They are the JDS Polar Camels that are coated for sublimation. All of our Polar Camels are double-walled, vacuum insulated.

@@JDSINDUSTRIES Was the oven on Turbo or a different setting?
@@expressitcreations yes it was

Yes
What size shrink wrap bags do you use for the 30oz tumblers?
The bag is 6 3/4" wide by 11" tall.
the only problem is that it appears you have to own a company to buy anything here. I couldn't just purchase the mugs
