Thank you Angie for that information. I'm so glad I came across your video. I purchased a Tumbler press thinking I had to buy the shrink wraps for the Tumblers.
So funny was just wanting to find info about sleeve wraps and I thought to check with the best first and of course you have a video on them. Best tutorials within the community. Thank you for all you share.
Angie, thank you for this Tutorial. As always great information and to the point. Also...now I will try out the Oven I've had for a while...lol Take care!🤗
Thank you for the great information!! Off to buy a roll of sleeves!! I tried those silicone bands for the mugs but by the handle, the images were faint!
Thank you for this informative video! I wondered why you had to use shrink wrap. I have pydlife oven. I followed someone else's directions and they recommended putting parchment paper between the print and shrinkwrap which I have been doing. Your thoughts on the extra step using parchment paper?
I see you put the shrink wrap on the tumbler, but I don’t see the sublimation picture you are using. When do you put that part on the tumbler. Thank you
Hi Angie, I am looking to purchase a sublimation oven. I have watched your video on comparing the convection oven to the sublimation oven, but I would like to know which of the made for sublimation ovens you recommend. Can you help me with this? Do you have a video that does this kind of comparison? Lu Ann Rogers
the sublimation sleeves I bought from PYD state the maximum degrees for the sleeve is 356 degrees but the video I watched set the temperature of the oven at 375 degrees what is the correct temperature for a 20or 30 ounce skinny tumbler with a shrink sleeve and for how long
What I don't understand is all these shrink wraps i find online here in the uk stated heat 140 for 8 to 10 mins but if i do mugs normally using a silicone clamp in a oven i have to do 200 for 8 to 10 mins So i dont understand how the mug and image will transfer properly if only 140
Hi I have a question hopefully you could help me out I have 11oz mugs I got the height down but the length I’m having trouble I’m trying to sublimate from side to side what is safe I tried 9inch and it was big can I press twice or what’s the safe size to press I have a circuit mug press hope you could help me out thank you
Can you use these on a shot glass in a sublimation tumbler press since I don't have a conical for small items like shot glass or those new shot glass tumblers. If you can do you need to heat them first or just fold it over, tape it and put it in the press?
@@AngieHolden Ok, thank you. I saw someone put a shot glass in a heat shrink wrap and put it in her tumbler and sublimated it like that but I wasn't sure that was really safe to do.
Hi, what do think which is easier between the toaster oven or sublimation oven? I am a crafter and don't want to buy so many toys. $$ is not to be waste. I wasn't happy with heat press, maker 3 (I know it's for starter, but rather spend more and get better products). Thanks
Thanks Angie… love your videos. Quick question… I had purchased and returned some shrink wrap sleeves because they melted in my oven. I was wanting to try some full wrap mugs (using your other video as reference) so after watching this I decided to try some PYD Life wraps. However, in your video on doing the full wrap mugs, you set your oven to 383º for 6 minutes but the wraps I just got from PYD life say max heat 356º. So far when I’ve done mugs in my convection oven I have used a silicone wrap and done them for 14 min at 400º. I am concerned that only using 356º for 6 minutes is not going to be enough to actually transfer the full sublimation print. Can you confirm - have you used PYD Life wraps and done them at 383º?
@rosemarybrodt8852 - Have you been successful in using the PYD sleeves that have the 356-degree maximum? I want to do mugs in my convection oven, but am curious as to the correct time to bake them for since we're using such a low temp.
@msmello925 - Yes I did end up having success with the mugs at the 356 degree temp but I did them for the 14 minutes I usually do and they worked out good.
Thanks sooo much for that explanation!!!! I'm a beginner and I was sooo lost with the wraps.
Happy to help!

Glad it was helpful!
Angie your subject matter is absolutely spot on, organized, to the point, yet comprehensive. You are a jewel!!!
Thank you so much!
Thanks!! The shrinks on a roll is a game changer!!
It is! That is what inspired this video really! I don't think enough people are talking about that!

Yea I am not a fan of the bands!
Agreed. Used them once but wasn’t sure if it was me or they weren’t great.
Thanks, Angie great Sublimination info! ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful video. Thank you!
You're welcome!

I don't think it is needed at all.
I see you put the shrink wrap on the tumbler, but I don’t see the sublimation picture you are using. When do you put that part on the tumbler. Thank you
You put the sublimation print on and tape it THEN add the shrink sleeve.
great teaching video
Glad you think so!
@@AngieHolden you are welcome honey
Gday Angie, quick question can you use shrink wrap in a tumbler press? Just curious
Thanks for all your content, your so informative ❤
There is no reason to use this in a tumbler press.

Each tumbler is different but I haven't had issues with PYD life sleeves at high temperatures.

Mine came today and just does not work image was soooo faint even though the film was very tight and even did one longer and hotter
Yea you are going to need around 200 C for sublimation to transfer!

Thx for all you do..I just purchased a PYD small oven is ir ok to do mugs? I noticed you stated you didn't fo mugs in the oven.. Thx you
Yep it is! I just have a mug press for those.

To do shot glasses in a tumbler press, you would need the right attachment. These are not for a press but for use in an oven.
@@AngieHolden Ok, thank you. I saw someone put a shot glass in a heat shrink wrap and put it in her tumbler and sublimated it like that but I wasn't sure that was really safe to do.
Thank you Angie! Can you use these in a tumbler press to reduce any ghosting on the top and bottom for any taping errors?
They are not recommended for use that way.
@@AngieHolden okay thank you.

Is there anyway to rewrap a tennis ball can? Rebranding a tennis ball can?
Sorry not sure.
If it’s too wide ( wrap) and my tumbler is Slim can I fold and tape back to fit the slim tumbler?
No need to fold and tape. Just shrink it. It will shrink up.
Thanks. I was going to use the sleeves incorrectly. I don’t have an oven.
Glad I could help!
When you cut one down to size, do you just tape it back together to fit your blank?
Just cut the length or where it opens. It will shrink in the other direction.

You can do a lower temperature for a longer time as a general rule. I have used their wraps at high temps though but not specifically on mugs.

Non of the companies you mentioned are in the UK 😪
Sorry! You can probably find similar things there but I don't have access to those.
@@AngieHolden yes we have shrink wrap on Amazon but like you say it could be low grade and melt. I guess the only way knowing is by trying 🫣😁
@@AngieHolden do you know how much time you would increase the time if you put your ceramic candle holder for example in a 3d press using shrink wrap
Replay- thanks this was very informative
Glad it helped!
any tip how to get it off when it got cool
thanx
Patience. Just lots of patience. Try using a weeding hook or even a craft knife and carefully finding areas you can pull up.
My PYD sleeves melt in my PYD oven 🤷♀️
Hmmm...I have not had that issue with them!! YIKES!
Are these toxic when heated?
I have not seen anything to indicate that they are.
A lot of unnecessary blah blah blah!. Make videos to the point!. So they don’t do crap but shrink!. This is for lazy people!.
