Geez I see this was made 5yrs? I'm glad it still works! I've been looking forever to find a solution to this! Somehow never found this video. Thank you very kindly!
Starting this hack I got heartbroken as it didn't work but then again I only realized the paper being used rather had to be thick enough to push the motherboard against the screen. And yeah, so far so good. Thanks, bro for this hack. Y'all should subscribe, like and share!!!!
Thanks for the video, your advice worked for me! Opened the back, folder a bit of paper (just tore a 2x2 cm piece off a regular notebook, folded it twice to fit inside), put it on top of the connector, put the cover back on, screwed it back in place and ... and everything is fine now :)
My LG G3 had the exact same problem and I did the fix and it worked perfectly. What I found worked the best and is available to everybody is an old credit card. The thickness is perfect - not too thick and not too thin. It is firm and won't compress over time like paper. I could not find a suitable piece of rubber and I didn't think paper would be firm enough. I placed a tiny piece of double-sided Scotch tape on the spot near the camera and then placed a tiny piece of the credit card on the tape. I am so pleased. When my screen was flickering and fading it was unusable. I was initially sure I would have to buy a new phone. My phone is out of warrranty. Now it is like new again.
+Brian Drew How is your G3? I'm wondering on buying one with that damage in order to fix it and use it as daily phone, just calls, whatsapp and facebook. Not even thinking on playing hardcore games, just a casual use.
I'll add to the list of thank you's! I was figuring that I'd be buying a new phone until I ran across your video. I had a little piece of rubber with adhesive on one side (I believe it came as an "anti-slide" pad for one of the pieces of electronics around here). It measured about 1 mm thick so I cut two pieces to size and stuck them to the connector. Put everything back together and it seems, for the time being, to be working perfectly. Thanks again for taking the time to post this!
Update: The phone's screen started going blank again yesterday. It's not doing it at nearly the same frequency it was before the fix, but it is doing it none-the-less. Not sure why the fix works perfectly for a few days and then starts acting up again. Thanks again, though, for taking the time to post the video.
Thanks, putting the piece of paper over the camera belt as shown in the video fixed my LG G3. I'll see how long it works but regardless it was a great help. Thanks again for the fix
My goodness.....IT WORKED! IT WORKED. Had my phone for so many years sitting in the drawer and stumbled upon your video. Didn't think it would work, but gave it a try anyway and BOOM! EUREKA!!! Thanks a milli bruh 💯
I have it too. I will make it too. It still works? Cause i was doing it before but was working when phone was cool. When it was warned it started flick again
Hi Incredible J, I was so unhappy my G3 screen got the flicker screen just after 1yr and 9 months of use. Local mobile shop would cost me nearly USD100 to repair it. I decide to try the paper trick. You! Saved my phone! Thank you very much! That is incredible, like a magic!!!! If it fails again, I will try your another trick. Thanks again!
Haven't used my G3 in years as an actual phone, its just been a portable gaming device for the kids. This just started happening to me in the last week. This did the trick to fix it. Thanks!
thanks for the video. I got an idea after watching your video. if anyone doesn't want to take the phone apart, take the back battery cover off, put small folded paper between the senser and camera lens. put the battery cover back. it did the trick for me and screen stopped fading away. back side does look slightly bulging because of paper underneath but it's very quick and simple fix, anyone can do. good luck
to resolve almost definitive shape , using a square piece of rubber not too soft a little larger than the video piece of paper with a 2 mm thick more of the cowling camera. Over the piece of rubber put a single piece of thin paperboard without to bend it , just a piece . tighten the screws , but not much. To solve the heating problem update the phone to Android 6.0 . I have helped . sorry my english, I 'm brazilian and not dominate both the language : D
+Incredible J thank you for the video +Incredible J but after a month with your quick fix here we go again as before. Does anyone has a definitive solution ??
Per instruction, baking the circuit board by itself at 320 for 10 mins and letting it cool for 10 mins fixed this for me. My screen had gone from flickering to not working at all. This fix works! Thanks for sharing!
My LG3 is perfect.. Until I encountered the same problem 3 weeks ago.. I have watched 3 ways to fix it here in youtube. Due to non availability of some materials and doubts on the benefit of throwing the motherboard of my unit to the oven.. I have decided to copy the above suggested solution.. But before I do that. . I read some feedback below saying that the problem will go back when the paper flattens out.. So, I look for some alternative to paper.. Glad. . That it still works!! Working well!!
At first I thought it was a hardware issue as the screen dimmed with strange pattern around each corner, however clearing cached data completely sorted it out for me! Thanks! :)
I removed the main circuit board (carefully detaching the 4 x small cables first), pre-heated the oven to 160 Celsius, then placed the circuit board in the oven (upside down on an oven tray) for 10 mins, left to cool down for a further 10 mins then reassembled and so far I have had no further issues. The heating up in the oven re-flows the solder connecting the components to the circuit board and hopefully cures any dry joints - I have also used this approach on my iMac graphics board and a year later it is still functioning.
Thank you! My beloved LG G3 is functional again. Just a tip don’t use to much paper: Laser for proximity sensor should stay free of paper. And if you are overdoing this repair then the back cover can’t be pooped in again.
Thank you!!!! I just did this fix on my G3 for the exact same problem. My G3 started doing this 3 days ago and I tried the clear cache fix like you and reseating the connectors for the screen. But this little paper fix seems to be the hook up!!! It actually worked!!! Screen is stable again and is working just fine, whereas before the phone was unusable. Thanks again J!!!
Well I rode the paper fix for as long as I could, but it stopped working reliably about 4 days later. Now my G3 is not really usable. Will be looking for an upgrade when I get home. LG G5 or GS7? Decisions.....
+Peter Revell Good stuff! Also it the issue starts up again, its because the paper is starting to flatten out. Look at Paulo Leal comment for a more durable fix, or just readjust the paper. Of course in the long run this is a temp solution.
I can also confirm this temporarily fixes the problem - it worked only for a few days for me. But thanks for posting, it gave me a few days to choose my next phone! :)
A wedge of paper under the processor worked for a few days and then tried baking which seemed to have worked well. Time will tell how long it lasts. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks! My screen decided to completely shut off. I was freaking out and couldn't get it work and i really need my phone tomorrow morning. Stumbled upon your quick fix and got it going for now. I see that this is not a permanent solution. Hopefully it will persist for now. Thank you very much.
Is there a lawsuit or anything or can we get together and protest or something?????I've had so many problems with this phone from the phone flickering, to small cracks on the phone even though I've had the phone protected since I received it. It stopped me from getting an early upgrade! So frustrating for those who can't afford to even fix the thing.
Right?! This is the crappiest phone ive owned. I just went through a boot loop problem, bought a new battery, which fixed it. NOW THIS. o-m-g. No wonder the majority goes with Apple Products.. I miss my iphone..
@@themachfivepets997 Unfortunately all phones have their own faults and yes even i-Products such as copy and paste stops working after an update has been released and the only way to fix it was to completely factory reset and re-install the latest update. The problem is we (the consumer) keep licking their behinds by buying the faulty products which at the same time we cannot do without as we like/need those products. The only safe way is to pay up for an insurance package which replaces your phone if it's damaged or faulty.
Honestly i didn't think this would work but just moments before i was about to send my phone to a shop to fix it, i decided to try this trick and maaan it really worked 😂 Thanks a lot man.
After 2 weeks the screen fading and flickering haven't happened again, this is great. Thanks. The only bit I did differently is using credit card cuts instead of paper and I used card cuts on top of each connectors (x3). Thanks guys!
I tried putting a plastic shim in. Worked for a couple of weeks then the issue appeared again. I reflowed the board at 195 C for 9 minutes then allowed the board to cool before moving it. Works beautifully now.
Working over here mate! Used a tiny bit of blue tack to hold it in place and broke one side of the cover as it's a mission to get off! But all working fine now. Thanks mate, didn't even have to to do a factory reset! ;)
Thanks a ton! Yesterday evening my phone suddenly started acting up similar to what you were expecting, and this fixed it (at least temporarily, I hope it lasts a while). On a side note, I don't understand all the LG hate in the comments, I absolutely love this phone and was incredibly happy with it until yesterday.
Unfortunately this trick only fixed it for two or three days, I've since contacted LG and they told me to bring my phone to one of their repair partners.
I rarely comment on videos, but because I am having the same issue, I figured I'd add my 2 cents. I did as you said and put the folded up paper on the connector and it went for about 3 days with out fading. After that it occasionally will start doing it again, but I found that if I press on the back of the phone (where the connector is located) it will go for a few hours with out fading again. I just need this fix to last me a few months until I'm due for my upgrade. Thanks for making the video, it has been helpful.
It sounds like the issue is the proximity sensor. That would also explain why putting the paper on the back would somewhat resolve the problem. It pushes the motherboard against the frame more securely and then causes the proxy to pick up the light better. This is especially true if you recently had your screen replaced. Sometimes the rubber gaskets don't get transferred over. The issues has nothing to do with the camera, but the closeness of the camera to the proxy is what makes this hack work. Another quick hack would be to turn off the automatic dim in settings.
I had the same issue and this fixed for about 3 weeks. After a while the went into bootloop. The fix for me was BUYING A NEW BATTERY. I know it doesn't look like the battery is the problem but it fixed it for me.
That's just stupid! I don't mean how you fixed the phone, but the fact all the headaches from this irritating problem can go away with a stupid piece of paper. I so wanted to throw my phone across the room a hundred times and I was in tears talking to tmobile and lg who couldn't help without tons of money. I called Cell Tech and that guy wanted 120. Funny cause he knew over the phone exactly what problem I was talking about. A lot or people seem to have this same issue; I just hope everyone finds your video before spending a lot of money. Thanks for doing this video, it was a huge help. Now I can relax and not stress thanks to you.
+Iftekhar Ahmad Khan I do have to open the phone back up and move it around in there every few weeks, but I can work with that. I can't really do a screen capture anymore cause that will definitely make it start fading out again since I'm pressing on that area. Right behind after I started having that problem my wifi messed up and I was thinking it might have something to do with the same issue. The wifi turns itself off. Everything is better now, but not perfect.
thanks a lot for the generous reply...that means after every few week i have to continue the process. will update how long it works for me... thanks a lot..kind regards
have/had same problem and tried this. I used a small piece of elastic band instead. Seems to help with thickness and stability. Thanks for the informative post!!!
I baked my board as the instructions in the more info section said - so far, so good! Thanks! (I also put a little thermal paste on the CPU and a small piece of aluminum foil) !
Thank you man. I did exactly as you demonstrated and my phone is working again. I just don't know how long it will stay that way, but saved the day. :).
Worked for me so far. Thanks for the tip. Its frustrating when you're 1 month passed the warranty date but still have 11 payments left on the phone when this starts happening. Don't want to pay $100 on top of what I still owe on the phone so i kept the phone in my drawer for 9 months since AT&T or LG couldn't help me fix it. Never dared to unscrew the backing of the phone but I've had just about enough with this phone so I said screw it....and it's working fine so far.
After it stopped working correctly again I also had a wifi connection issue....disconnected all 4 connector ribbons, blew any dust out, and reinstalled another paper, not too thick because that will affect your volume up button. Been good for a day so far.
Also, I was having this weird issue where my battery was not holding a charge. Has lasted longer and does not make phone so hot now. Still ordered a new battery on Amazon because this battery is still only lasting half a day with normal usage. Before it would last only about 3 hours...something internally was keeping something active on the phone causing the battery to drain. Not sure what it was since I did not have any active apps.
Thanks so much for sharing. I was about to go to the store and get a new phone. I was very upset :( . Good thing I saw this video and now my LG is working fine just getting a little hot but I guess is normal. Thanks again :)
Worked for me. It kinda flashed the first time I started it, but hasn't again since. You have to play around with the thickness of the paper to make sure the case fits snug -- it's okay to have a tiny gap because the screws will tighten it, but leaving it too wide will allow dust and moisture in. As a side note, I didn't have the problem until I installed Marshmallow (6.0). LG's outsourced tech support is terrible -- they will have you restore to factory, then tell you it's a hardware issue, and if you're 2 days over the warranty, they refuse to create an exception even though their software update was what caused it.
baking the motherboard at 320 for 10 mins WORKED. I tried the paper and rubber and that's didn't help. BAKING IS THE KEY not an issue anymore. perfectly fixed now :) thanks
yes it actually worked. exact time and temp explained. MOTHERBOARD only. and it will fix that issue as well as inhance the phone itself. its weid and it sounds like bs. but i assure you it worked
So 320 for 10 minutes? Man it really does sound like a trick but I'm willing to try anything. How long did you wait after the oven to put it back in the phone? And what did you put the mother board in?
on a tray or something to be sure you dont drop it into the bottom layer lol. and wait about 10 mins. when it cools down. you should be good to go. then build it back together and BAM working phome
I've tried this hack. works for about a week. keeps working if i make paper thicker, but eventually that will only go so far. May have to get a new phone anyway
This helped me. I also had to wipe my cache. I did this by pressing power and down during the lg logo part of the boot, then selecting wipe cache. It's also worth mentioning that I replaced the screen as well, but I think this was unnecessary.
I experienced the exact same scenario.. even down to getting the yet unistalled update.. how ironic.. went down the same software route thought... The piece of paper trick actually worked!!! I could not get the upper left screw loose though.. so had to bend the plastic a bit.. but all good.. nothing broke.
you put a small cut of a plastic card instead of paper... but only near camera not the one near speaker you might mute your phone ... it worked for me.
Thanks man! I'm off of work right now with a broken foot, and the wife's phone picked this time to nuke. This worked and is a great help to keep to cover till I get back up. Wife is ecstatic also. You da man!
Mine started doing this yesterday, after LG returned it from their repair centre for an issue with reading SIM cards. That hasn't been fixed and they claim there is no fault with it, but a few days later 1 SIM did work. This screen flickering began and it also seemed to cause the SIM card reader fault to worsen, but I will attempt to do your little hack. I had an LG Viewty once, can't believe I didn't learn from that.
"Cooking" motherboard for 10mn at 160 C fixed problem. Not so surprising, it's a fix also used on PC motherboards or graphics cards :) Thanks for the tip guys !
This worked perfectly for my daughter's phone! I used a small piece of electrical tape rather than paper... rolled up a few times and trimmed down to the same size as the connector. Too thick and the back won't snap back on, so a little trial & error. **EDIT** Apparently it was only a (very) temporary fix. My daughter told me that it started acting up on her again the next day, albeit not as bad as before. :(
this worked for me! I don't understand why, it seems ridiculous. I was out of options because my phone was out of warranty. I tried this and it worked..thanks $300!!!
Hi Incredible J I would like to thank you so much for your great advise!!. I had the same problem than you with my Lg3 screen I put a insulating tape piece in the sensor part and works perfectly!!. People if you have the same problem do not change any part, nor motherboard, nor screen. It is the sensor for sure. No problem to take pictures.
clear cache works for a little bit. hold down power and volume down at the same time (factory reset option - but don't do a reset). Another option that comes up is "clear cache". You don't need to have the phone working at the time. It just buys you a few more minutes.
completed the fix. used rubber like foam piece to glue on the camera cable and unplugged the camera for a bit and plugged it back.... so far so good. the phone feels kind of warm even within a few minutes of use. no glitches.... yet... and sd card started to work too! the phone did not recognize it before. my plague started when i left my phone on a hot stove (it was cooling down, but still hot enough to slightly melt the outside case)... in 2 month the sd card stopped working, then the sim card started glitching.... then the black screen flickering.... the foam like rubber sticky seems to have eliminated the issue. left wondering how long it will hold. IF LG CORPORATE IS READING THIS.... YOU LOST AN LG FAMILY FOR LIFE AFTER THE WAY YOU TREATED ALL THOSE PEOPLE WITH EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE,
update: 2 days later, no issues at all whatsoever. if it starts up again i will update the thread. I am in Florida and it's summer, so believe me - the phone had plenty of opportunities to overheat
Alexandra Medovaya hm.. look i had a same problemm so i have watch these videos on TH-cam and i put a PAPER and guess it worked ;)) gladly..so i just wonder how long it will work ..((
Albeit Imposs nope, it worked perfectly for like 6 days, then started going black once a day for about 3 more, then for the next 3 weeks it was back to where it was before. Now I can't see my phone screen at all but I can still feel it vibrating. I'm getting an iphone now instead haha cause this is the 2nd lg phone I've had thats done the same exact thing. But what I found is that when the phone is cold it works for like 3-5 min before going black, so I put my phone in the freezer, only long enough to simulate a temp it would be if I left it in a car in the winter so like 3 min. It's weird but it works for emergencies. Hope this helps
Albeit Imposs also after it stopped working I just repeated the process with a different small folded piece of paper thinking I'd get another 6 days or so, but it didn't work at all the second time like it did the first. Which makes me wonder why it worked the first time at all so idk may be hit or miss
This actually happened to me last night. I just took the battery out and left the phone alone overnight. In the morning it flickered once, but that was it. So far it's working pretty well.
since you have to do the paper thing on the camera ribbon I'm assuming it's a camera thing cleaned it with rubbing alcohol it started working but it works temporarily
I used a small piece of folded cardboard instead of paper. It seems to work, but now when I try to snap the back cover back on, I can't turn the phone on/off! I think there's a limit as to how thick your "paper wad" may be. How thick **should** the wad be?
This is happening to me and it's extremely annoying. Also my phone keeps randomly saying it has no SIM card but my SIM card is in there and I have to keep taking the back off and trying to put the card back and hope that when I turn it back on it will read it. It all started happening after the update about almost 2months ago and it's so frustrating because my warranty just ended.
I'm in the exact same boat. My phone has been doing the flickering thing for a couple of days now, and just today it started to tell me there is no SIM, or there is a problem with the SIM.
Josh B yes! I called my service provider, they won't help at all after they even told me this phone is a lemon and also that these phones don't last more than a year. Also called LG and they wouldn't do anything for me either. I feel helpless. Sorry you are experiencing the same problems.
Followed your updated FIX, but it didn't work for me. Thanks anyways ! Then, I disconnected the rear camera connector (the one connected to the ribbon shown in the video) and the phone works perfectly for now (1 week with no flicker and fade and still going). Don't know how but the camera is still working even after disconnecting the connector.
4:00 the fix starts here

The only safe way is to pay up for an insurance package which replaces your phone if it's damaged or faulty.
@@drweufsdfsd android are the best, maybe get a better brand
same with asus i have to use the one hand mode just to be able to see for roughly 10 seconds before i can see literally one line drawn with pixels
Amazingly , This Actually Works ! I was Skeptical at first and was astonished that it fixed the Bizarre fading issue . Nice Work Pal ;)
Thanks mate, didn't even have to to do a factory reset! ;)
Also fixed SD card randomly/constantly unmounting and battery life is awesome again! Best fix ever. Cheers mate ;)
Thanks a ton! Yesterday evening my phone suddenly started acting up similar to what you were expecting, and this fixed it (at least temporarily, I hope it lasts a while).
On a side note, I don't understand all the LG hate in the comments, I absolutely love this phone and was incredibly happy with it until yesterday.
was it still working?
Unfortunately this trick only fixed it for two or three days, I've since contacted LG and they told me to bring my phone to one of their repair partners.
Thank Stridre....for the reply..today is the 2nd day...frm it has been fixed..lets c..how long it works for mine
Good luck with it, maybe it'll work for you.
+Stridre thanks.....take care
I rarely comment on videos, but because I am having the same issue, I figured I'd add my 2 cents.
I did as you said and put the folded up paper on the connector and it went for about 3 days with out fading. After that it occasionally will start doing it again, but I found that if I press on the back of the phone (where the connector is located) it will go for a few hours with out fading again. I just need this fix to last me a few months until I'm due for my upgrade.
Thanks for making the video, it has been helpful.
did you mange to solve this ? this happened to me after flashing ROM + GGAPS + Kernel
no, my phone is still doing this. It has been happening more often now too.
Your paper hack fixed the problem on my G3! Thanks J!
is it still working?
yes
I'm really thankful to you man, the piece of paper really saved me 350 euros to buy a new one... Many thanks again!! :)
Now I can relax and not stress thanks to you.
thanks for the comment. will u plz suggest how long it works?
+Iftekhar Ahmad Khan I do have to open the phone back up and move it around in there every few weeks, but I can work with that. I can't really do a screen capture anymore cause that will definitely make it start fading out again since I'm pressing on that area. Right behind after I started having that problem my wifi messed up and I was thinking it might have something to do with the same issue. The wifi turns itself off. Everything is better now, but not perfect.
thanks a lot for the generous reply...that means after every few week i have to continue the process. will update how long it works for me...
thanks a lot..kind regards
Did it ever stop working again?
Brina D hmm
This technique is working 100% on my g3. Thanks a lot bro
have/had same problem and tried this.
Amazing, it works! Did not freeze even once after this fix (fixed about a week ago this phone that at worse froze every few seconds). Thanks!
Never dared to unscrew the backing of the phone but I've had just about enough with this phone so I said screw it....and it's working fine so far.
works for a week
that means it's not working now for u? and wat u did after that when its not working?
After it stopped working correctly again I also had a wifi connection issue....disconnected all 4 connector ribbons, blew any dust out, and reinstalled another paper, not too thick because that will affect your volume up button. Been good for a day so far.
+Eric Ponce thanks a lot Eric...
Hey man, totally appreciate this video! It's worked for me. I'm not sure how long it will last but hoping for the best! Thanks man!
+Se Min Hwang Hey friend, your G3 is still working after 1 month with the fix? Thanks in advance.
+Javier Silva nah man it worked for a while, but then it just died. I don't blame anyone though, it did get water damage before. Thanks anyway man
i love seeing people say "i give up i'm just replacing it" because i can't afford to replace it and it really helps me think this will work :)
it works.yeah.thanks for the info.i used rubber instead of paper.also put some thermal paste between the board and metal inside to lessen overheating.
Amazing ! it worked to me , I used a small thin piece rubber instead the paper lets see how long live ... thanks a lot :)
This got fixed by me using a simple receipt paper and some time. Thanks dude. You earned this like
It worked for me ! man ... you are a genius! thank you for making this video and for sharing this with everyone! you made my day, my week, my year!
Worked like a charm for me, thank you 😉
Thanks a lot man really appreciate it works 100%. Shout out from South Africa!!!
baking the motherboard at 320 for 10 mins WORKED. I tried the paper and rubber and that's didn't help. BAKING IS THE KEY not an issue anymore. perfectly fixed now :) thanks
you're kidding right? you seriously put your motherboard in the oven for 10 minutes? I don't want to kill my phone but did that really work?
yes it actually worked. exact time and temp explained.
As if, I'll be sure to try it and tell you the results shortly
simplest and best solution it worked for me thank u man !
appreciate your work thanks a lot..!
I've tried this hack. works for about a week. keeps working if i make paper thicker, but eventually that will only go so far. May have to get a new phone anyway
+Olivia Hamilton Yea this is defiantly a temp. fix. Glad it worked for you though
+Olivia Hamilton I added an update, click the added link in the video/description, and try it
Incredible J
This helped me. I also had to wipe my cache. I did this by pressing power and down during the lg logo part of the boot, then selecting wipe cache.
It's also worth mentioning that I replaced the screen as well, but I think this was unnecessary.
Seems to have done the trick for me. Half hour since my fix and no issue anymore. Thanks!
I experienced the exact same scenario.. even down to getting the yet unistalled update.. how ironic.. went down the same software route thought... The piece of paper trick actually worked!!! I could not get the upper left screw loose though.. so had to bend the plastic a bit.. but all good.. nothing broke.
This fixed my phone!!!! Thanks!!! I can't believe how many views this video has.
edit: stopped working after 2 days, even applied more pressure n' stuff
OMFG THANK YOU SOOOO
MUCH IT'S WORKING I LOVE YOU SO MUCH OMFG
is it still working fine?
vezodus stopped working after 2 days, even applied more pressure n' stuff :/
you put a small cut of a plastic card instead of paper... but only near camera not the one near speaker you might mute your phone ... it worked for me.
vezodus thx for the tipp, but meanwhile I've got a s7 edge ^^
i got the same problem, after trying this tuts, the lcd works again.
Thanks...
Hello does it permanently work?
+Carl Daniel Jean Louis
No, the problem comes back after 1-2 weeks..
so how to resolve after that?plz guide..
Iftekhar Ahmad Khan So far there's no solution. Sorry!
+Carl Daniel Jean Louis np...Carl...... thanks anyway
Thanks for this worked for me so far. May I ask the explanation for this? Thanks again.
"Cooking" motherboard for 10mn at 160 C fixed problem. Not so surprising, it's a fix also used on PC motherboards or graphics cards :) Thanks for the tip guys !
You are an actual hero. Thank you sir.
+magicgrl111 Glad it worked for you.
+Incredible J it works for me too Thanks man! :) keep it up the good work :)
Thank you so much!!! Baking for 10 minutes @ 160°C worked fine!!!
Looks like every LG G3 user has this problem. bullshit LG.
seriously. its like they push an update and hardware fails..
yes never pay again lg model the bad smartphone in the world
***** i'll avoid that too. thanks.
Hey bro when ut lg g3 has this problem and did u do that same thing as this guy did anf if yes tell me if it work bro
Everyone has this shit problem
Fixed it using this technique; hats off to you!
Thank you, just fixed my girlfriend's older mobile! She is very happy :D
She must be careful, my mother dropped my phone out of her pocket and the phone was gone! I tried to re-flow the IC chip.
I tried this and it worked..thanks $300!!!
hello does this method still keeps your phone running like normal?
Tried this today and it worked beautifully!
Dude.. It works.. You are the best. Thank you so much
This fix is legit, thank you very much for putting this up lost darn near all my hair. Any updates how is the phone working for you today?
clear cache works for a little bit. hold down power and volume down at the same time (factory reset option - but don't do a reset). Another option that comes up is "clear cache". You don't need to have the phone working at the time. It just buys you a few more minutes.
I thought i was the only one with this problem!! Thank you so much
I just had this problem after my sim card connector issue, one after one , good job LG !
I'm shocked! This fixed mine! I was about to throw it away. And check the date on this post. :)
Glad this is still helping people
@@Just_Justified same for me today ! thx
completed the fix. used rubber like foam piece to glue on the camera cable and unplugged the camera for a bit and plugged it back.... so far so good. the phone feels kind of warm even within a few minutes of use. no glitches.... yet... and sd card started to work too! the phone did not recognize it before.
my plague started when i left my phone on a hot stove (it was cooling down, but still hot enough to slightly melt the outside case)... in 2 month the sd card stopped working, then the sim card started glitching.... then the black screen flickering....
the foam like rubber sticky seems to have eliminated the issue. left wondering how long it will hold.
I am in Florida and it's summer, so believe me - the phone had plenty of opportunities to overheat
привет..все еще работает ??
No. It got really bad after about 2 weeks. Sold the damn thing on Ebay.
Sorry :/
Alexandra Medovaya hm.. look i had a same problemm so i have watch these videos on TH-cam and i put a PAPER and guess it worked ;)) gladly..so i just wonder how long it will work ..((
bless you, it worked
was it a permanent solution?
Which makes me wonder why it worked the first time at all so idk may be hit or miss
thx
Just wow. Wtf. That actually worked for me (so far at least). I wish I saw that 2 years ago when that problem started☹
This actually happened to me last night. I just took the battery out and left the phone alone overnight. In the morning it flickered once, but that was it. So far it's working pretty well.
how bout now?
vezodus Eh. The issues happen like after 3 hrs. It's random for me though.
Great solution it worked for me, hope it works for everyone.....
still work ? ) dont believe
usama ali am I doing something wrong? it didn't work for me sadly
since you have to do the paper thing on the camera ribbon I'm assuming it's a camera thing cleaned it with rubbing alcohol it started working but it works temporarily
You video is so helpful. I am using now the lg3 we just fixed. Thank you very much.
I used a small piece of folded cardboard instead of paper. It seems to work, but now when I try to snap the back cover back on, I can't turn the phone on/off! I think there's a limit as to how thick your "paper wad" may be. How thick **should** the wad be?
this is the best thing since sliced bread. thanks for the help
thanks alot for your tips incredible j, my wife's g3 never been facing this problem since a week ago after applying this hack.
Awesome!!!!! My G3 is back to working! 😀😀😀😀😀😄😄😄😄 Great job! Very helpful!
well it blacked out again but I put a thicker piece of paper in it and it's doing fine for now
This is happening to me and it's extremely annoying.
Then,
I disconnected the rear camera connector (the one connected to the ribbon shown in the video) and the phone works perfectly for now (1 week with no flicker and fade and still going). Don't know how but the camera is still working even after disconnecting the connector.
Well I'll be damned. I felt like an idiot trying this but it worked. Thank you!!
