    I'm a left-handed crochet instructor. I teach a lot of right-handed people crochet. I have them face me and tell them its like looking in a mirror. It usually works.
    Somehow, I knight like a right-handed person. I hold my yarn weirdly, but it works. I'm not as good at knitting as I am at crochet. I prefer crochet for most things.

    I love both. I usually knit in the winter. Crochet in the summer. But really I just do what I want 😃

      Hmmm!! What an interesting idea. Were you knitting summer tops in the winter and crocheting winter sweaters in the summer? Either way, thats GENIUS!!! 😁

    "Please note, I'm extremely cheap." :) Haha I can relate! (Until I discovered hand-dyed yarn!) I like that you point this out because I feel like sticking to a budget shouldn't keep anyone from trying to crochet or knit!

      😂🤣 Yes!! I gotta keep it real. And yea, once you really get into knit and crochet, its so easy to give up all budgeting. Its just so addicting.

    I'm like you... I like both! Crochet is very near and dear to my heart. My grandmother thought me when I was 7, one summer we went to Mexico. She thought me with thread. I have been crocheting for 33 years now and only learned to knit about 2 months ago, and I'm loving it.! Its very soothing to me. I made what was to be a knit open at the top beanie. And it looks more like a leg warmer😊😂. I'm going to have to make another one to mach and use them as such. Now I'm working on a baby blanket for my new nephew, and that one is a whole lot better.

      Oh wow! Your grandma started you out with the hard stuff. Hahaha. I hope you enjoy your new leg warmers and i hope your new nephew likes his blanket. Congrats on the new addition to your family! Nephews are the best. And thanks so much for watching my video!! 😊😊😊

    I agree with all your points!!! Even to the end!! I should start incorporating a life line when it comes to knitting because it is the WORST when you make a mistake with knitting!! I would love to see a video from you testing to see if crochet really does use up more yarn than knit (I really think it does though!)

      Yes! Lifelines are lifesavers. The only thing is it can make progress photos a little ugly. But i don’t care because they are so helpful. 🤷🏾‍♀️ And yes! Im def going to make that video now. Im so curious.🧐

    "I have no idea how to do that" 😂 continental is a whole different beast. I cannot purl that way for the life of me!!

    • @SheTriedItYT
      @SheTriedItYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      RIGHT!!! I have devoted sooo much time trying to learn it. But no, I just don't think its for me. 😆😆😆

    I love both. I learned to crochet first and recently learned how to knit. I love knitting hats/beanies and top-down raglan style sweater/pullover as I don't like purling. LOL... I knit Enligh style even though I crochet. I can do Continental style but I find English style easier. I bought some fingering weight yarns and I can't wait to cast on a pullover.

      @SheTriedItYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HAHA! I'm not a huge fan of purling either, but its a lot better than other stitches. But thats so cool. I'm sure your fingering weight pullover is going to turn out beautifully! 😄😆

    Yes knit uses less yarn it’s a fact! I do think you go faster with crochet but maybe because I started crochet first and have more experience.

    • @SheTriedItYT

      I have heard of chiagoo needles but i havent tried any yet. Thanks so much!! Im slowly but surely learning the gauge part. I can’t imagine its too hard. It probably just takes time! 😊
