You said you're an engineer, so I was expecting you'd give a technical review on the difference of the 2 products i.e who has better coverage, better hand over when roaming between two wifi points, etc.
#1 issue I have with Google Wifi is lack of mesh ability with bridge mode. I just got the M5 as it has bridge mode with mesh. I've been dealing with double Nat since I got Google a few years ago due to this. Google seems unwilling to put this feature into their system. After using both, I think I will be selling my Google wifi.
It IS a router. The only thing you'd really run into issues with is having enough hardware ports, but they sell a switch as well (or you could just use any other switch)
@@Richardlizhu do you think its worth going with the newer tp link deco m9 for around $210? or would the deco m5 be good enough for streaming netflix on a TV?
Tplink also supports newer procols like Mu-mimo and 802.11k/v/r for roaming.

I was waiting for that too.

Can i use all of it in 1 connection? 6pc mesh connected together? Even different brand/model?
3 google + 3 tplink in 1 software?
Very informative. Thank you
Thanks for the review. Can you turn off 5ghz with the M5?
yes
TP link is better imo.
You didn't mention this, but doesn't the Google system do away with the need for a router whereas the TP system still needs a router?

tp-link 3pack deco m5 for $150 or google mesh wifi 3pack for $200??
Since the TP-link is cheaper, I would recommend that one. I personally use the TP-link for that reason. Their features are quite similar

@@menswearhous I'm not too familiar with the m9, but I have found the m5 to be 100% sufficient for my netflix streaming needs
@@Richardlizhu Awesome, thanks! What about a Switch or Splitter? do you use one for more ports, if so which one?
@@menswearhous Sorry I don't use one so I'm not too knowledgeable about which ones are good
Sniffing killed this video. Learn how to live...
Sorry about that, it was allergy season combined with having to stand up and look down. Will do better about this in the future!
