Hello bestie, missed reading your comments! I would say Tori for Lows tho, I just think Tori got better projection and weight down there. I also missed Demi’s resonance in her mids, wish she work on it more now. As well as her pitch.
As well as i adore Demi, current Tori is up there vocally with Beyoncé & Mariah imo. That might be an unpopular opinion, but since Tori started to use more balanced mix in her upper belts, her vocal technique is, BY FAR, the strongest & the most refined of this generation. Her low notes are strong, her mid belts SO resonant, her upper belts are free now & her agility is unmatched. I just think she is brilliant.
I agree! I’d like to add also how her head voice developed. It sounds more rounded now and more controlled. Although she can still improve it even more. I just wished she adds more weight to her mixed notes like G#5 and above to have that belt-like quality.
indeed. Even they all didn't start out *fair* . Tori and Jojo was a child prodigy compared to others in their generation. 12 Tori and Jojo could outsing 21 Ariana
I just realized Tori and Demi are practically the same age… In my opinion, current tori and 2015/2016 Demi are equally tied vocalists. I wish Demi got back to her heavy belting because mixing above D5 makes her lose power quickly.
This battle will be more balanced if 2015-2016 demi vs Tori. Old Demi is so much better. She produced great resonace quality toll Eb5 like it was nothing.
I think that’s the most used clips that I used for her, specially in belts. But I felt guilty for not putting up some recent performances of hers and might get attacked for that. But she got better head voice last year and was already too late because I posted it already. Her resonance is undoubtedly one of the best during those times.
I don’t want to take away from how incredible Demi is but I feel like Tori won all of these. Her technique and resonance is way better and she doesn’t have the pitch issues Demi currently has.
I guess if she’ll bring back her resonance how it was in 2015-2016, explore more on her head voice, improve her lows and she’ll be one of the top again. Plus her agility and vibratto isn’t the greatest either.
@ It’s hit or miss, and it’s miss most of the time. There are times where she can do it so good which can be a testament that she really can. Like one of the person said here, it’ll be better if she also valued quality.

Easier, still has that grit and depth, and has insane stamina. Tori best moment can toe to toe with Demi but Tori is often thinned out once she passes Eb5. If she aim for chestier belt, it can lead her to unncesery tensed and not easy. Mix : Demi defiently Head voice : Tori for miles. Whistle : Tori Agillity : Tori duh.
The fact that she can project pretty well on a C3 with that VERY high voice is so amazing to me!! I think Tori opted for a thinned belts but back in 2020, she used to be so chesty and I definitely liked her tone with thinned voice. Probably a healthier approach as well.
Yeah I appreciate Demi’s courage to mix that high and sustain it. Tori likes to play it safely though, hopefully she’ll step out of her comfort zone even further
Hello bestie, I actually looked up many different vocal battles to see what they put up for Demi because I know barely of her vocals but can’t seem to find the other clips. I tried looking for them in Tiktok, X, and TH-cam tho. I also posted from my community to see if there are any Demi stans that are willing to collab with me. But there is none so I had to find her clips on my own😅
@@ddlovatics_20 Maybe soon. Because I also wanted to open a vocal battle for other vocalists and other types of videos about Tori. After posting though, I regret putting some clips because I actually saw better clips for Demi. Most especially for her head voice.
I would normally give my opinion, but Tori clears. Demi's biggest issue is her greed. She's so worried about RANGE; she forgot about QUALITY. Demi sounds like something is stuck in her throat the majority of the time and on top of that she's a bit pitchy (currently). Tori on the other hand is just a well rounded vocalist. She got the RANGE and QUALITY. My only complaint with Tori is her laziness. I know for a fact she can belt so much higher than what she normally does (F#5/G5), but she opts to flip into a mix. It gets aggravating because I know she'd kill Bridge Over Trouble Water's upper belts. 😭
Sad but true. That's why I used clips before 2020 for her mid belts. It just sounds so much better than what she have right now. She lost that power, depth, ring in her voice. I really like what you said. However, I feel like laziness is not the right word though. She probably likes to play it safe. But I would want her to show off her full potential too, wish she'd step outside her comfort zone even more.
@vivifiedvocals4470 I really don't think laziness is the right word, Byron. I think you forgot that she had a big tour last year. If Tori belted the G#5s in BOTW, then her voice would get tired throughout the tour. So, I think she made the right choice to mix the G#5s in BOTW. G#5 is high to belt, and if Tori did it consistently, then her voice would've been tired by the end of the tour.
