We all know that Tori is well known for her amazing agility. And a lot of people would discredit this woman for her ability to belt/mix high notes. I know that it isn't her main strength like some of her peers but I wanted to share and hopefully change other people's perspectives that Tori can also slay high notes!! Hope you enjoy the vid!

I made a video about Tori's Eb5 and I will make more videos about her soon. I feel like her improvement and and being in her prime, needs attention and appreciation that she deserves as many people would say that she strains above D5. Hopefully this video will enlighten some people and realize her potential. Btw I made this video just for fun so hopefully you'll understand that my editing skill...
How tf is she not as famous and highly regarded as Mariah, Whitney, Christina and so on….

Os últimos desempenhos dela de 2023 a 2024 são excelentes, os melhores! Soam muito apoiados e com mais controle. Ela melhorou muito, exemplo disso está nas últimas performances em "Missing U" em que ela executa o F5 muito bem apoiado
For now, I think the F5 from 2024 is almost supported if it had been more open slightly because it sounds like she retracted her tongue here, at least that's what I hear. 2016 and 2023 are also very healthy but it lacks depth and weight. Only 2019 showed true support out of all these clips

@@LucasLobo207 Yesss. She did improved a lot. If we compare her performances during 2015-2018 against 2019-2024. In the earlier years, she had a few lucky performances wherein she was able to showcase decent control but lacks consistency. But her recent performances shows how she improved and is very consistent now. In the first leg of her purple skies tour, she showcased more decently controlled notes and just a very few bad ones. I just watched Tori's recent performance of Should've Been Us, and I was shocked!🤩🤩🤩 I was honestly surprised that the 2020 F5 was the most chesty! I thought it was in a balanced mix! 2016 to 2024 was great! Tori definitely gained more ease and control in her upper belts!🤩🤩🤩 Her mix is much lighter but still powerful!🤩🤩🤩
Yeah it sounded like it has the most weight in it. There's one more video tho showcasing an even more chesty belt that also didn't sound so bad.

2:15 is the best. Light, bright, but full and dont have unnecesary tension. What makes it the most impressive is the fact that she did a lil bit *dynamic* on that (gradually getting louder) the moment she added her vibrato which is very risky and tricky on that high area. She executed it beautifully. U guys could try it yourself if u dont trust my comment. Try to belt on upper area but gradually adding the volume and vibrato like what Tori did here . It's actually very rare for Tori to produce that kind of quality and have that level of control on F5. I think that is her lucky moment. The recent years could take 2nd spot. Good quality, controlled, and great stamina too. Third one for 2016. Very light and healthiest but lacks of depthness and fullness.
Is 2019 considered as grounded? Glad I found that clip, I also really loved it. I was about to choose the clip from st petersburg but decided to look for more clips and I stumbled upon this video. 2016 and 2023 actually sounded similar to Ariana's. Both clips are also good but like u said, it lacked the depth and fullness. 2024 also sounded like she retracted her tongue there, could've sounded more open and more forward.
@@TorishKellingtonif what u mean by grounded is full, thick, and with brilliance then yes. That note is definetly grounded. Thats why I think it is her lucky moment because sometimes she used to struggled at Eb5/E5 yet could produced that kind of quality out of no where. Definetly has potential to be her optimum resonant notes.. Very very true pal.
@@Mein-fe4js Yes the term they used to refer as “supported.” Omg so happy to see her luckily supported that note. I’ll also use it more often to shut those annoying haters up lmao. But actually during 2019, she got many free Eb5s-F5s. I actually think she didn’t struggle that much reaching those notes during Inspired by true events era. A very few clips also showcasing decent G5s(Nobody love examples on my other videos were from 2019-2020). Struggled to hit F#5s more than hitting G5s. Just my observation😅
@@Mein-fe4js Her mid belts up to a D5 is REALLY resonant and just imagine if she can add resonance to her upper belts/mix as well. 😍😍
@@TorishKellington U r right pal. That year probably was her best moments in terms of coordination in upper area and Vocal condition. None of Ariana, Jojo, Jessie, nor Demi ever did what Tori did by using M1 at 2:14. That is extremely hard. I just wish she's more consistent with her approach. She's still experimenting with her own sound. Sometimes she sounds too thin, sometimes it's thick, etc.

Definetly the 2019 one. I like the youthfull quality on 2016 and dark sound in recent year, but her attempt at 2019 is technically outstanding. None of her generation ever did what she did there.
In real life battle im suf that faouzia wilk beat her sooooo hard because this is fouzia voice i' a very big stage

@kimsoyame I have listened to her songs and I know that she does almost everything herself, but my personal favourite is Tori..she's a Veteran and her music touches the heart.
Tone wise and based on artistic merit, Tori Kelly is miles superior to Fauzia. Fauzia has a very, VERY strong voice. But the voice lacks the character or "it factor" for a strong pop act. Fauzia, as talented as she is, does not scream "pop star". No amount of opposite replies will get me to pay attention, just so you know.
Honestly it depends on their approach for me on the low side i prefer Fao but belts I prefer Tori! And their head voice GOSHHH why do they sound so similar prefer both! Whistles I think Tori has more ease as her voce is lighter so easier but I like Tori's more, my opinion.

Faouzia wins in every single aspect .. and I know for me it simply comes down to tone preference! I am not saying that Tori isn't great in all facets.. but I'm just not a fan of her tone or her riff style... so I have never ever gotten into her music. I think I have only ever loved one song that she sang.. and that was the Christmas song O' Holy Night. I know she is beyond talented.. seems like an angel of a person.. and my preference takes nothing away from that, annnd I can respect her fan base! Both are amazing, but really hard to compare, too much different clips in different conditions, energy and stuff! We need a Live battle between them <3 This would be AMAZING for our ears <3
for me personally agree her G#5, A5 & her B5 while warming up her vocals are heady mixed, lighter approach but her Bb5 & D6 are headvoice in twang placement
@@danjuliano head voice with twang is a mix. Thats it. There is a SGP also in her approach on that note.
Overall I think Tori is slightly better. She has better agility overall and better mid belts. For upper belts overall, I go with Faoiza, because Tori sounds tenser when she adds more chesty and it's much lighter/heady when she makes it headier. But Tori Kelly has much chestier singing and it's even harder to do, mostly Faouzia starting even at C#5 is headier while Tori stays chestier. Dynamic - Tori Kelly Tone - I prefer Tori's Mid belts - Tori Kelly Low Notes - Tie Agility - Tori Vibrato - Tie Head Voice - I think it's a tie Upper belts - Faouzia
I don’t think that Tori’s was tense tho. They were just weighty in a way she got more chest engagement but placement can be better on the F#5. Faouzia’s high notes from Eb5-F5 lacks the chest engagement that’s why it sounds almost like it’s falsetto.
@@TorishKellington honestly she was really so tensed sometimes on upper belts especially above F5. That's the only real problem Tori has, she has the head voice, lows, agility, vibrato, power but her upper belts can be so tensed.
@@moragev2606 Yeah they are not perfect tho, even Ariana or Kelly have tense moments but it’s rare. For Tori Kelly she’s not as frequently badly tensed on F#5s anymore. She actually got many good F#5s but are very short and not sustained which I will showcase in the upcoming video. Her G5s tho, she’s probably working on it. But anyhow, it’s still not as tensed way back 2018 and the previous years before that.
@@TorishKellington Yes, 2018 was way tenser, now it's kinda better but they were really times that they are just too tensed. Hope she works more on this area.
Head voice wouldn’t go to Tori. It’s the weakest area for both of them however Faouzia’s head voice has more projection and rounder. Tori’s head voice has improved; it has mostly had that “mask placed, constricted and at times shrill quality. It has become less constricted but still not that full. As for vocal agility, I have seen more performances from Tori and she seems to almost always land it. Faouzia hasn’t performed as much but she’s also effortlessly agile and with her versatility, she has the edge due to the complexity ie. Faouzia could attempt Tori’s riffs and runs with more success than Tori would with Faouzia’s runs (those quarter notes in the maqam are something else).

*Lows:* Faouzia (Tori is very close though) *Mid-Belts:* Tori (Faouzia’s can be very strong but I don’t think she has more tense moments here than I can recall from Tori). *Upper-Belts/Mix:* Tie (Tori has improved over time but there have been quite a number of very tense and even strained upper belts and mixed notes. Faouzia’s upper belts and mix could use some improvement but comparing them at the same age, her upper belts/mix overall are stronger). *Head Voice:* Definitely Faouzia. More full and rounded. Tori tends to use that mask placed head voice/mixedish sound. She has started using head voice more but nowhere near as rounded as Faouzia. *Whistle Register:* Tie (both rarely use it in actual live performances) and they have had many opportunities to utilize it). *Vocal Agility:* Tie (Faouzia has the edge here due to versatility) *Musicality:* Tie (Tori has the edge) *Dynamics:* essentially a tie *Tonal Quality:* Faouzia Both talented songwriters as well!

I prefer tori’s style and the fact that she mixes a lot heavier than faouzia but its really great to see her improving so much
