Well that should pretty much plug the elbow. There won't be much flow through that fitting, they would have been far better off to buy the fitting. It probably cost $5 and they wouldn't need the copper fitting they destroyed, which probably cost more than the proper PVC one. Just because you can do something, doesn't make it a good idea!
Yep! Pressure and GPM are different animals. Would’ve been just as much work if not less to this the right way, without obstructing the water flow in the 90. Yes you did obstruct water flow through that 90, whether you wanna admit it or not.
WOW! I have never seen so much effort put into the simplest task, not to mention that with all that hanging off of that pipe now a water filled hose will snap the threads off the initial mip sooner than later!!!
One good tug on that hose and the threaded end of that male adapter inside that "tee" is going to snap right off. At least it's outside I guess. So many things, so little time😮
Se ve más laborioso y esa extensión de la llave habría quedado ejor dirigirla hacia un lado para evitar que estorbe tanto al paso. Además creo que es más frecuente contar con la T de PVC que con esa broca...

Sticking out to far the weight from the hose is gonna break that connection and he will have to pit a t thear Luke he should have done in the first place
The more joints that are glued, the more likely for failure. The tug and pull on the hose will certainly compromise the integrity of that joint! Don’t believe this is the best solution. I’ll give you an “A” for effort!
Yes, very clever. May come in handy after the breakdown of society when proper supplies are no longer available. But if a contractor did things like this on a job site, I'm pretty sure they would pull his license. Homeowners beware. Spend the money to do it the right way, the FIRST time. This guy is not a professional, and is leading you astray.
I own a sprinkler company and I would never do this. Most of the pvc shreds go into the pipe to gum up whatever is on the other end. ( unless it is another hose bib) either way I wouldn't do it. And I would put it back where no one bumps into it! Not saying it wouldn't work though. I don't carry a drill with a step bit with me, but I do carry all the right fittings.
In addition to all the comments about how unnecessarily complicated this method is, I would say this about a couple of things the guy should have done: use primer before using the pvc solvent, and give the pipes and fittings a quarter twist to ensure an even spread of the solvent. FWIW.
Cut in a slip, slip, 3/4 thread tee just below the elbow. Outlet turned parallel with wall with hose valve. Install a strap between tee outlet and hose valve to ensure the weight and movement of the hose attachment will not stress the fittings and pipe.
Should never use pvc cement on threaded connections. You’re supposed to use tape and dope. On top of that no primer was used for any of the joints so they will fail within 10 years ( probably will break off before then). The titles says “without buying pvc adapters”. You sir used 2 male pvc adapters. Also it’s just dumb having it come out on a 45 degree angle facing up. That will surely snap off with any type of force when pulling the hose. Just all around stupid. 0/10
Below the standard of the industry. Get the right tools and the right parts and do the job the correct way. If you want to live in a third world country- move there.
Not only would that be a very weak connection, I don't happen to have a tap to make threads into that plastic. And you know what I've got a lot of tools!! So now I got to buy a specialty tap. Or I could just buy a couple fittings for a few dollars and do this correctly. Smdh. Actually makes me feel bad that I'm commenting on this cuz I know it just helps your channel out but this is stupid.
Good idea but dont mek sense jus use a tee instead of drilling n screwing of the elbow along with the same fittings that is used except the Male adapter
No PVC adapter? No problem! Just buy this copper fittings and this nylon fitting and drill this big hole and glue pipe THEN CUT THE PIPE then sand it then add a PVC valve and then glue more pipe and cut THAT PIPE... Sure, sure, makes sense to me. Also, that nylon connector tapped into the elbow probably blocks a ton of flow through the elbow. So at least you've got that going for you. Imma just buy the adapter. Thx.
The water is not obstructed, the pressure is the same, so the flow will be the same.
I'm with you. Buy the right parts also I would tuck it back so it barely sticks out so people don't walk by an break it off.
Um no,. The flow is just fine.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 In fact, it shows in the pressure of the hose, it cannot reduce the water pressure since the main key was not adjusted
Yep! Pressure and GPM are different animals. Would’ve been just as much work if not less to this the right way, without obstructing the water flow in the 90.
Yes you did obstruct water flow through that 90, whether you wanna admit it or not.
I just did this and now my house is on fire 🔥
Gee, all you have to do is glue seventeen different fittings together and you’re good to go! 😂
Without primer, no less.
@@deanmeyer1815 yea, what's up with that? no purple stinky
cost more to do it wrong- not counting the Unibit
Why not just put in a pvc tee and use a regular garden hose spigot? Would take five minutes and probably cost about the same?
or less and no need to buy a Uni bit
Once you've tapped the elbow, just put in a standard brass or plastic spigot. Probably cheaper than the multiple fittings and valve.
'Just drill a hole in the elbow and fit the hose', yeah right, 3 days later and its done, but don't look at it to hard or it will break off! 😅
Ok the drilled hole hack, but just use a pvc insert threaded to receive a (small) faucett/spigot instead of all that pvc build up.
This is what keeps me employed 🤦🏼♂️
That’s some serious Afro engineering there
Why not just put a TEE slightly below the 90 elbow ? Instead of having a 45 degree sloped pipe and a clogged elbow. This looks half-assed.
@Dan D not only looks mate it actually is half assed. What a load of fuss for a hose tap....😳
Would take less time to replace the 90 with a tee and be done with it and no problems to follow.
WOW! I have never seen so much effort put into the simplest task, not to mention that with all that hanging off of that pipe now a water filled hose will snap the threads off the initial mip sooner than later!!!
Good idea , but you should probably cut the inner thread as long as it will affect the flow of water inside the pipe as it passes through it !
Thank you very much my friend, yes I understand you very well
@@Mrinventor93 you are great ! Thanks for the best! Hope you visit and keep good interaction! Wish you always sustainable development!
@@dailytricks6161 Thank you very much and I wish you the best friend, much success
I thought it was pretty cool. Plumbers are extremely expensive. So good for you.
Don't worry about the plastic shreds that are in the pipe when you initially cut into it
Now that's a monster!
😅 it's a great repair my friend
But why must you joint at the elbow. Wouldn't be easier at below the elbow, just cut and joint
Yeah my thoughts exactly.
That’s exactly how I woulda done it.
How to make a simple thing complicated and cost twice as much. That’s a better title for this video. Lol
I would have bought the right fitting before I wasted money on all that.
Thanks I understand

Sometimes buying the manufactured part saves a little labour!!!
That was a lot more work than putting in the simple job of a "T!"
Without buying PVC adapters meanwhile I just used 5 adapters
Love the triple speed sound effects.
Que, buenos trucos de. Plomeria

😂😅😅😂 I'm dying over here watching this
nooo 😁😂😂😂
I watched just because i wanted to see how ridiculous you could make it. I was not let down 😂
Wait until it freezes or someone hits it late at night and not only do you not have water, you have to buy triple the fittings to fix it.
Your using a male threaded copper solder fitting your putting a lot of work in,in fairness to not much avail
Won't the T fitting be faster to do and cheaper.
And be cleaner job taking up less room.
That whole process is just ridiculous, too much time on his hands
Sticking out that far, someone is bound to walk into it and crack the plactic PVC.
PVC joints should be rotated 180 degrees after gluing to ensure glue is bubble free
Drill a hole , fit the hose without buying PVC adapters!! But he has fitted adapters. Why not just fit a tap to the elbow joint.
What a cobble job.
That’s more work and cost than just swapping the elbow for a tee, but sometimes it can be fun being unconventional. 😂
This video is a perfect example of the utilization of artistic expression over conventionality.
I bet that leaks like Cat 5 Hurricane
U used many adapters, could've been done with a t were elbow was .
Then shutoff
My local plumbing inspector would get a good laugh out of that, as he wrote me up.
For ten dollars and ten minutes, I could install the hose bib the right way. It would not resemble this way. In fact this makes little sense.
A crooked cut on the plastic a true hacker
Sticking out to far the weight from the hose is gonna break that connection and he will have to pit a t thear Luke he should have done in the first place

3 days later still extending to add the water hose 😅

This has to be a u.s. government project
Too much weight and pressure on the drilled hole
It looks a bit heavy but it is very solid.
Looks like a Puerto Rico water set-up.

Did plumbing for many years .
Would never recommend doing what he did .
Would've been better off putting T below 90° elbow and finish with fittings .
Yes, very clever. May come in handy after the breakdown of society when proper supplies are no longer available.

Homeowners beware. Spend the money to do it the right way, the FIRST time. This guy is not a professional, and is leading you astray.
A complete waste of time and money not to mention that y blocked the flow of water past the 90°
Probably easier to just use the correct fitting in the long run.

Porque no usar una T ???
Cómo la instalaria ahí algún tip amigo?
Wow 3 stooges work
That was a lot of work! Honestly I personally would of just inserted a hose bib fitting into the straight run of pvc leading up too the elbow... 😳

Was the purpose of all that in case you don't have a T ? Because if not that was way more involved and expensive.......pointless.
You need to put a brace on that to the concrete that way it won't get torn off
This will break off if you bump it, even slightly.
In addition to all the comments about how unnecessarily complicated this method is, I would say this about a couple of things the guy should have done: use primer before using the pvc solvent, and give the pipes and fittings a quarter twist to ensure an even spread of the solvent. FWIW.
Am i the only one thinking a female adaptor is npt and a hose is not?
I wonder about the depth of the pvc thread.....cutting it down to a shorter length...this would help with the flow of water...psi
Cool
Thank you
That was a lot of extra work and materials to do it "the easy way".
Lo complicas mucho para un trabajo tan sencillo
I’m sorry, but what does the pipe connect too??
Because restricting water flow is most essential.
Bem mais fácil por uma tornrneira
Gastó más dinero que instalando un adapter y un grifo . Todo por los likes y los views.

Lads, just buy the PVC adaptor, it'll save a ton of time, energy, electricity and solvents😂
In the last step you screwed a female hose thread to a male iron pipe size thread. Those are not the same thread pattern.

Then someone walked by bumped it and broke all that crap off.

More innovation from a 3rd world country. Necessity is a mother.
