  • As you know I love Ryobi for the value and capabilities but I had to make a decision to invest or go in another route, in this video I will show you the other route I used to save money and have the ability to use all my circular saws with this awesome track guide system. Let me know your thoughts!

I'm horrible at cutting a straight line! This could solve my problem. Thanks for the video. I'll look into the different size tracks they offer as well.

You should have bought 2 full kits @99 each instead of a kit and spare tracks at $99+$79. Either spare hardware, or keep two different saws mounted at same time ready to go.

Great review. I love this track kit but I may go with the Bora. Bora comes with a piece for a T-square, and a router option. But I sure do like the "chariot" of Milescraft better. Decisions, decisions...

I have the Bora track kit I use with that same Ryobi saw. Works great for me!

I'm not going to say much about this set up, I haven't used it but it looks solid. For another inexpensive track saw you could look at Skil's. They should be similarly priced. With the Skil you just buy their 7 1/4 cordless saw plus the track. The saw can be used off the track or on. Just another option for people. Neither option is going to compare to a Festool or Makita but they're not supposed too. Good luck everyone.

Great video! Thanks for stepping outside of the box on this. I've been researching this as well, and the Ryobi track saw is just way too expensive. I'm actually thinking about getting the Kreg Acucut XL.

Nice video. If you're still in the market for a dedicated track saw, I am hearing that the Makita makes a great one, and the Wen, which includes a battery and charger is also a great budget saw.

Makita definitely makes one and I'd love to have it. $$$. I have the corded Wen and it uses the same track as Makita so someday when it becomes a necessity. The Wen is underpowered to me but does its job fine on plywood. Skil has one too that's reasonably priced but lacks things that the Makita or higher end saws have, even the Wen has plung cut that the Skil doesn't have. The Wen has lots of the options but be prepared to go slow. Thankfully there are a lot more options out there now and at different prices points.

I wonder if this would work for Ryobi's wet saw......
    Feeling all giddy inside!

Great vid. I've never owned a Ryobi but after watching this I think I'll go out and get one. I had just ordered the MilesCraft track system to use with my corded saw. In other reviews, the only real complaint was the proximity of the knobs on the guide(red) not fitting with most batteries. But I just noticed that the Ryobi battery sits sidewise. Did it get in the way of securing the saw to the guide?

i think if you didnt already have a circular saw.. a track saw would be the way to go.

ryobi tracksaw is pure trash and barely cheaper than makita one which is also 10 times better and uses standard tracks
