- 1000Toys TOA Heavy Industries Synthetic Human (Female) is a lot to say, and quite a sight to behold. Honestly a very fun figure, but the chest pieces...guys...come on. Just come on. They had me in the first half, I'm not gonna lie.

Don't know if Tsutomu Nihei designed it but basically from what I know, 1000toys made a Blame! figure of Killy and TOA Heavy Industries is basically Nihei's slap-on-everywhere which is why the logo is on the box. Also the head with the hair looks very similar to Sanakan so probably was him.

Nice review, I'm planning on getting this and while I'm not opposed to larger busted figures I do agree that the alternate chests weren't as necessary as maybe a sword, gun or other head option
Weapons would have been a lot of fun, I would have loved to see her come with a katana or sci-fi gun or something for sure

i think the bust size is less about size, and more about how gravity pulls them in bent positions?
I've recently gotten both of the basic synthetic human figures, and while I do like this one, the male seems slightly better made. There might be a legit reason for that though. I appreciate the level of engineering that went into this female version, but more time should've been devoted to paint quality over interchangeable busts, because you aren't the only reviewer to have paint rub on the hip or mention how fragile she feels. Still, pretty cool for an overpriced art figure. Supposedly these things get better engineered with every re-release, so maybe later versions will be more like her predecessors. Also, the stand is weird, and I feel like it could been avoided if she didn't have weird heels. Seems unnecessary.
Totally agree on all points. Robots are awesome and I'm always up for something that can be of use as figure posing for art, but she needs a bit more work. I think we're supposed to get the male at some point!
