I am very allergic to bee stings so I have to admire their beauty from a distance. Your bee is gorgeous, I love how you colored him, he's one I could definitely hold in my hands with no worry.🐝 I understand your decision to take a break from social media. Things are truly horrible around the world right now and we definitely need positivity, not bickering and rudeness. I am always in awe of your colouring, absolutely beautiful. I do not do social media, for exactly the fact that people when they are faceless, seem to think it is acceptable to be vicious to each other. If you can not say something nice, do not say anything at all.
I love nature, however, I don't want to have a lot of insects around me personally, I appreciate them best from afar. I saw these stamps on Simon Says Stamp when I was checking out their release and I had to have the American Flag, this amazing Bee and a few others. I quit posting much of anything (except random cards on IG) a long time ago because people can be quite vicious. I don't mind people being honest about how they feel, so respectful discussions can occur, but it doesn't seem to remain that way. Bees 🐝 are beautiful. I’ve rescued heaps from my alpacas drinking water. Sat them on my hand they dry off and get themselves sorted and flew away. I can’t wait to get a hive 🥰. Lovey picture
I love your bee coloring today Sandy. I am not a bee person either but I do like to paint them and use them in my paper projects. And your add on video sunflower girl is great! I could watch you color and paint all day. Sometimes I do (lol) by putting your you tube videos on and partaking in all of the fun-ness! I am not an Instagram user, so I hope you will continue to use the you tube channel for us people who do enjoy it. Stay safe and happy. Don't let the world intrude on that. All people matter.
Sandy, I love your drawings, colouring, paintings & instructions. I live in Canada & thankfully, we don't have quite the same political problems that your country is undergoing. Not to say that we don't have problems by any means though. I only watch about 5 crafters TH-cam videos & you are one of them. Thankfully, each one is a woman of faith & has so far refrained from commenting on issues which I appreciate. I don't think this is a forum for that. I don't do IG & only use FB to see pictures of family & a few friends who live distantly. I don't post anything personal at all. I don't listen to the news as I can hear what is going on just from people around me & that's enough. If there is something important, my hubby lets me know. Some people say I live in a bit of a bubble, but that's fine with me. So, yes, you've made the right decisionn my mind. My mom used to say, "If you disagree with me about something, that's fine. I encourage you to share what's on your mind, but make sure you do it in a respectful manner." We never fought or said awful things in anger because of this. We raised our kids with this motto as well. Bless your heart my dear lady & enjoy your time away from it with your two wonderful dogs.

My daughter and I rescued a bee from her paddling pool yesterday and watched it until it flew away, It spent a lot of time grooming its furry body with its back legs to make itself all fluffy again :D Lovely video, Sandy. Thank you for sharing.

Love watching you color! I definitely want to try the pencils over Copics idea. As for social media, I just watch TH-cam videos of stamping techniques. I try to stay away from anything else to keep my blood pressure under control. I almost don't even watch the news anymore! Please keep doing the technique videos here because even though there aren't as many followers, we all love watching your techniques and tips. You really have helped a lot of us!
Your kind, friendly & positive attitude is what made me look for your channel when I saw you on MFT's. Don't let others change you; looking in from outside, your country (& the world in fact) needs all the kindness it can get atm. I took a year off FB & IG too because of the nasty, unkind & even cruel behaviour of others. I rarely go on either anymore, because imho while elected leaders set an example by spending more time on Social Media bullying, boasting & fear-mongering, than actually dealing with the inherent problems at the core of society, it's not a world I care to be part of. P.S. The yellow glow on bees leg hair is pollen.

"Good for you Sandy" My Mama brought me up to say if someone said something rude to me is -IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL" I took myself off of facebook and IG because of that, so I have always LOVED your beautiful coloring with Copic Markers, your Watercolor painting and coloring with pencils! Oh and now your Alcohol painting with 91% Alcohol that's my favorite ❤😊🥰❤❣ My Maiden name is Jones! My Brother is too 🤭Giggles🤭 Jones Honey from the stores is #1 Delicious 🥰😊🤭❣ The sad part is the bees are dying off and the world cannot survive without honey bees. That beautiful golden stuff that you see on the legs is pollen that they take back to the beehives make the honey the queen bee sits there hi all the worker bees goes out and does all the work they all know where their Queen bee is from miles away. There is some gross stuff about bees too but it's all about nature 🥰😊❤❣Are used to keep those water all the time for them by their hives I need water I was most the backyard I know if not even bother me. Honey bees are you you going after people that wear dark clothing, because as you should know the black bears are there attacker's, they Love the honey bee hives🏵🐝🌹🍯🍯🍯🍯. New born babies and under 2 can't eat Honey. Because Honey has already been digested. I love this guy I want to get it to get these stamps to make a card for my brother he was in the newspaper when time or they taped a queen bee in a little box under his chin and he had little cotton balls and his nostrils and ear plugs in his ears are cotton balls anyway he had a whole beard full of🍯 honeybees🐝 there's all sorts of kinds of bees the big humongous one are pom puppies, then there is Yellow Jackets, wasps, blackjacks, good and bad ones bee bites as in stings you it dies, but all the other mean little buggers can keep stinging you and stinging you until you kill it I guess that's how the killer bee got its name who knows anyway Sandy protect your puppies from those darn little Hornets you're not too fun with them but you always have beautiful artwork and I love to stamp. I'm sorry you had a touch time on IG, I enjoy you colouring all kinds of skin. What happens not is horrible and we need to speak up, silence only empowers the wrong side. The art community is afraid of touching political subjects, but it's important to take a stand against racism and discrimination. We're all equal.

I don’t normally comment but I love the combination of copics and colored pencils. The pencil really captures the fuzziness. I find TH-cam to be the best medium for demonstrating art. You are allowed to leave other platforms but not TH-cam!

I love Colorado Craft Company. This card is amazing. I gave up social media during the presidential Election, I have never started back and I don't miss it. I think you would be surprised how many people have or are doing the same thing and only sticking to Facebook. I think it is a very good choice. We should be able to give opinions with out getting bashed or awful comments. Keep arting. We all appreciate your skills so much.

I am fascinated with the idea of colored pencil over Copic! I know this isn’t the first time you’ve shown it, and I remain eager to give it a try. Although I’m drawn to the Colorado Crafts large bug series, I can’t imagine what I would do with them. 😜 I do have a friend who’s into beetles, so maybe that one would see some use. And many people like bees...
It's quite common over watercolour, gouache or other matte paint. Nice to see other ideas, too.

The pollen sticks to their legs. That’s how they collect the pollen, then they rub it off when they return to the hive.
I 💛 🐝! Although I don’t do paper crafts like you do, I’m definitely getting this stamp!! It’s perfect for my bible journaling. As for social media, I have to take long breaks from time to time because of the negativity. It just hurts my heart how vicious people can be to one another. I believe that the bee's legs have that golden hue is due to the pollen that gathers on their legs from the flowers that they visit.

One of my favorite artists started getting all political and I told her that I would defend to the death her right to say it but I was following her for her beautiful art. I have an idea your politics and respect them..I also respect that while you will ever be faithful to them you don’t expect all who follow you to feel or be the same.
