    Those are brilliant! I did laugh about the hives and must admit the darks were getting a bit ‘huh?’ … till I saw the finished card at the end and it looked absolutely fabulous!

    Wow! Such a wealth of texture and shades! I love your snow! It wasn’t just the color, but knowing how to use the color that made that snow look so real!

    When I first saw the glittery bell, I thought for sure "here comes the white pen!". But once again you surprised me. For those who like glitter but not the mess, there is glitter paint. The medium in it kinda seals the glitter in so it doesn't brush off. Just a little tip. TFS

    I used to do splattering with an old toothbrush when I first started making cards before I ever knew about stamps and inks and watercolour and all the other fun things we’ve learned

    Hives here! Really enjoy your snow techniques. When your caption said Copic metal coloring I was reminded of coloring my silver or white gold jewellery when I need a match so this was a nice surprise. Thanks

    Oh my ... what a beautiful card and image!! I love how realistic the bells look in the snow. You have such a wonderful talent and gift of art. I greatly appreciate how you share your gift with us on your channel. I struggle with color combos using my Copics and am unsure what goes with what most of the time. I think it may be time to invest in your Hex Chart and this digi image. Thanks so very much for all your time and efforts sharing your love of art!

    Yet again, this channel shows that drawing and painting can be broken down into steps that can be taught and learned by anyone willing to devote the time! The toothbrush spatter technique works with so many different media, sort of a pre-industrial airbrush. Very nice!

      I`m not sure, I agree with you.
      Yes, a lot can be learned with practice, but not everything and not by everyone.
      Many can learn to copy others, but real artists are creators.
      Do you really believe that art can be taught by everyone? It takes a great teacher to actually succeed in producing learned students.
      Sandy is an extraordinary artist and a fabulous and devoted teacher.
      There are not many out there who possess such qualities. In fact, very few do.

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lechat8533 We agree, it takes an exceptional teacher like Sandy to present basic principles in a way that people new to art can understand. We're firm believers that making art is like a language that we all have the capacity to learn. Not every person who takes up a brush will become the most famous or original artist, but everyone has something sincere to express. After all, the first time a parent says, "I love you" to a child, it's not the first time it's been said, but that doesn't diminish the significance or sincerity of the expression.

      It’s from a whole lot of practice and a whole lot of playtime. Once you get used to understanding the concepts they become second nature.

    Hi I've just found you and have subscribed, loved the video. Have you tried the glitter pens they go on wet then dry with a glitter effect they are great if you don't like loose glitter

    • @SandyAllnock1
      @SandyAllnock1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but this comes across more as the sugar type of glitter I was going for. Those pens just do a little shine.

    How do you print on a Copic friendly paper? I can’t even get 65 lb through my printer😭😭
    I’m new sorry if you’ve talked about this already.
    I just watched all the way through so you print and color on regular copy paper?😮

    • @SandyAllnock1
      @SandyAllnock1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it sounds like you either need a new printer, or you could print on copier paper and take it to a shop and have them photocopy it onto your good paper. Ink from those copiers is usually Copic safe. ❤️
