Thanks! Unfortunately, the recent developments have already caused many new changes and some of this info is not up to date anymore.. let’s hope the situation gets better again soon!
Great information on all the VTL countries. If I go to Malaysia from Singapore, could I travel to other countries from Malaysia which are non VTL, then go back to Malaysia and then back to Singapore. Is it possible?
Hi, yes you can do that. Before traveling back to Singapore however, you will need to stay in Malaysia or another VTL country for 14 consecutive days first, before being eligible for quarantine-free VTL travel back into Singapore. Hope this helps. Smooth travels!
Hi Tommy, I just checked here: www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/travel-info/vaccinated-travel-lanes/# Here it states: ‘The following countries provide quarantine and test-free entry to vaccinated travellers from Singapore: Denmark, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.’ I also checked here: www.exteriores.gob.es/Embajadas/SINGAPUR/en/Noticias/Paginas/Articulos/Additional-measures-to-enter-Spain.aspx Here it states in yellow: ‘ART or PCR tests are not a requisite.’ So my understanding would be that a pre-departure test in SG is not required to enter Spain (as of today, subject to change). But you need to have a vaccination certificate. Hope this helps. Smooth travels and enjoy Spain!
Me and my family will going to indonesia for holiday and we come back to singapore and we are not singaporeans.so can i apply for vtl quarantine free or we need to be quarantine when we arrived in sg.we fully vaccineted.
I agree it’s quite expensive and more efforts compared to ‘pre-covid times’ but the Singapore government simply wants to ensure safe travels and prevent chain mass infections. Hope the situation improves next year !
Hi Raymond, thanks for watching and very good question. Actually, the MYR138 is the price I saw for an ART test by Sunway Medical, not for a PCR test. Here are some of my thoughts on your comment: Of course it would be 'great' if everyone could simply provide the result of a 'self-test' pre-departure, which could be done at the convenience of our homes, saving everyone money and time. So we might need to ask ourselves some general questions: 1. Why are ART/PCR tests more expensive when conducted at clinics by professionals? - Compared to self-tests, Healthcare workers must of course be compensated fairly and provide respective quality service with reliable and trustworthy test results. 2. Why are 'self-tests' not accepted as pre-departure tests? - Maybe because the airlines and governments have the responsibility to ensure reliability and quality of adhering to the travel processes in order to keep the community and travelers safe. Self-tests could easily be re-used /faked by people who would want to do so, and no one would be able to control when such test was actually taken. It also would have a higher chance of wrong testing procedure and maybe more likely show a false result. This could lead to many people who have Covid, traveling on planes, infecting the mass, which then results into the airlines and governments having to review the planned new travel schemes due to the severe impact on the healthcare systems and the people. This could mean that the travel lanes will be stopped completely, therefore many people cannot travel to visit their families anymore, holidays might need to be cancelled, no planning possible, airlines having to take the economic impact and no sight of sustainable future revival of the travel industry. I am pretty sure other people might have different opinions and other valid points on such topic. These are only some of my thoughts that came to mind when reading your question. Wish you a nice weekend!
well presented mate!

@@legendanny93 yeah agreed! i made the vlog of coming back to jakarta too and now being quarantined for 10 days from just 3 days before the omicron.
Thanks for sharing this informative video! 😇
Thanks a lot for watching - You’re very welcome! :)
So interesting ✋
Thanks! :)
Glad that Singapore is opening up, but daily testing for 7 days in a row after arrival is excessive. No way that I am coming under these requirements.
It’s not an easy situation with the current circumstances and the latest developments and rule changes.
Hi Dan, thank you for sharing your experience to enter Singapore
May I know how did you obtain a QR code please?
Hi Marianne, thanks for watching. Which QR code do you mean exactly?

I will be going to Barcelona pretty soon. Am I required to take a pre-departure PCR test in Singapore before arriving in Spain?

Too troublesome.....and it's too expensive...can't the travellers travel to Singapore in its usual way....without going through VTL....

Why the need to do the expensive PCR instead of the cheaper ART tests? For self ART test it costs only RM4.90, so why does it costs RM138?? Big profit
