What To Do in Hong Kong - NYE Fireworks & Christmas VLOG
Where is the Best spot to see the NYE Fireworks in Hong Kong?
0:00 - Where to watch the NYE Fireworks
0:32 - Gonpachi (Tsim Sha Tsui) Japanese Restaurant
1:37 - Start of VLOG
2:49 - #1 The Peak
3:46 - #2 Hike Dragon's back

5:30 - How to use the Tram
5:56 - Mid-Level Escalators
6:20 - #5 Stanley Coastal Town
6:44 - #6 Christmas Buffet
1. Rooftop bars and Restaurants:
There are many super nice places where you can watch the fireworks from. As many of these venues have a very high minimum spend or pricey tickets, I show you this Japanese restaurant called 'Gonpachi' at Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) on the 28th floor.
The minimum spend was reasonable for NYE and the food and drinks you could enjoy for this amount were delicious! A great place to go as a couple wanting to enjoy some nice food and drinks in a cozy and chill atmosphere.
2. There are plenty of free options outside, e.g. at the Avenue of Stars or actually everywhere along the entire waterfront at Tsim Sha Tsui.
The best is that it's free and you can bring your own booze but make sure to go there super early to secure great front- row spots. And be prepared to squeeze in between a huge crowd who is there to enjoy the fireworks too!

Hi, my family and I are visiting hong kong and was hoping to catch the best view of the new year firework. Do you think we will be able to see it from the ritz-carlton hotel if our room is facing the harbor?
Hi Tracey, first of all thanks a lot for watching my video :) I myself haven’t been to the Ritz in HK but I just googled and it says the rooms are on very high floors (100 and above) so if the room is facing directly to the Center of Victoria harbour where the NYE fireworks are displayed, you should be able to have a good view, but honestly I cannot confirm it. I suggest you ask this question directly to the hotel to confirm the room view and why not even request them to send you a real photo from the room type you’ll book, to prove it. Still recommend to check out some other options in HK where you could enjoy the fireworks outside in a nice restaurant or rooftop bar, or among people, depending on your preferences! Hope you’ll enjoy HK and the fireworks - have a great one!
@legendanny93 thank you so much. Will do.
awesome video!!
Thanks for watching and supporting! 🙏☺️

Thanks for watching :)
@legendanny93 you're welcome 😊
Headed to Hong Kong for New Years Eve this year! Looking forward to seeing your NYE fireworks recommendations!!!
Thanks a lot for watching! You can check out my new video which I just uploaded, in which I share one good option to enjoy the NYE fireworks Hong Kong (at least I personally quite liked it). But it really depends if you are travelling only with your partner, in a big group, alone etc. and what kinda atmosphere you want to have on that night! Wish you a great time in Hong Kong end of the year and Happy new Year in advance! :)
@@legendanny93 awesome, I will check it out!!! Thanks so much! Happy New Year in advance to you!
Don't go to Yat Lok, The staff are extremely rude and tell you to get out and coerce into buying their expensive dish. Tripadvisor explains how bad Yat Lok is. Please avoid
Thanks a lot for watching and your advise! I guess we were lucky during our visit as all was well for us :)
Heya, what's the name of the place you showed at 8:00? Loved the video!
Hey Connor, firstly thanks a lot for watching! That place at 8:00 was a random place near our hotel, I think the name is Joy Hing Roasted Meats. Hope you enjoy!
Im going to hong kong solo. Is it possible to have a nice meal in any of these restaurants (or any HK restaurant for that matter) solo?
Yes of course you can eat at any of these restaurants solo! But dim sum dishes for example come in several pieces per dish, so it’s great to share since it’s a lot. But the other dishes like roast meats, wonton noodles, pastries, beef noodles etc are easy to eat solo. But even dim sum can be done solo, just go several times and order 3-4 dishes only. Enjoy HK!
i love legendanny.
Thanks for watching 😃
my fav TH-camr is back LFG!! great video, fren.
Time to make a comeback 😎 Legends never die 💪

Hong Kong is also pretty cool, watch my latest video ;)
Hi, just found ur channel and love this vlog. Can u lps share the name or location of the last seafood noodle restaurant at Aewol pls? Thanks
I think the place is called 은혜전복 and you can find it on Google maps if you copy it. 24-3 Aewol-ro 1-gil, Aewol-eup. Hope you enjoy it!

@pamelasaw you’re welcome! Watch my other new video when you’re free and if plan to visit Hong Kong one day :)

Thks for the review man!Btw,I think u used the chopsticks in the wrong direction bruh…
Too heavy to handle, strong favor must be. Anything lighter version? No wonder, the SG government wants people to cut back on the saltyness in the dishes. 😁🥴
Sounds like two country bumpkins.

Hallo @Legendany its been a long time no food reviews in Singapore :-)

Thanks so much for your dim sum tour. Will go to Swee Choon when I visit in July. Looking forward to it.
Hello, i see the snow, when do we go to see the snow?
I was there in March. Because of the altitude (height of the mountain) there was quite a lot of snow and it was beautiful! But it was very cold, so wear enough warm clothes! Hope you get to enjoy it!
What time did u get to the netflix kalguksu lady? There’s almost no people yet when u came 😄
It must’ve been during a weekday in the afternoon 😃 can’t remember the exact timing but it’s worth it hehe
I LOVE THAT PLACE GREG FROM AUSTRALIA
Hi bro, What month in this video did you visit Jeju Island? How about 26 january? Hows the weather? Thankyou😊
Hey! I visited in March! It was great weather ok land, but up in the mountains on hallasan it was cooooold! 😃 pack warm clothes for sure
Can you find the best dim sum at any price?
What do you mean?
@@legendanny93 When you survey the restaurants, did you include places like St Regis and Ritz Carlton? I know St Regis has a chinese restaurant inside.
I love jeju ❤❤❤
So do I!!
What's the restaurant called for the Korean BBQ?
nice blog, enjoyed it
You look so handsome! Nice review.
Hey Danny! May I know, total how many meals were included in the 2d/1n package?
Hi! Upon arrival, lunch was served, then dinner on the same day and on the following day they served another breakfast and lunch! So in total 4 meals :) On the first day in the evening, the cooking class also provided some complimentary fruits and spring rolls additionally! Hope you will go and enjoy
@@legendanny93 thank you for reply! And yessss, hope the cruise goes well haha 😄
I was there with some colleagues some time back. I enquired the price and was shown the crab that will be served to me. When crab was served to the table, it was much smaller. I have been scammed and they really lived up to their name, scammers. I should have known better.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in the past! The times I went there it was always honest so far
@@legendanny93 Have you gone to try the food at East Coast Lagoon Food Village. They have similar foods like the Newton Food Centre and it's not at a ripped off price.
I tried it yes! Quite good thanks for the idea :)
@@legendanny93there's a stall with very tasty beef kway tiao soup. Try it and tell me what do you think of it. Of coz there are many tasty food too. I just miss the beef kway tiao soup more than the rest.
