A little meteorology lesson. When the water is warmer than the air, you can get that layer of condensation (cloud/fog) in the air just above the surface. Very common above rivers especially in the cool morning air above lakes and rivers. Once the air warms up by the sun above the "dew point" then it burns off. Above the ground it is called "ground fog". Also very common along the California coast. You guys have spent a lot of time in cold water... welcome to the weather of warm waters. :-)

Inversely, during Winter, the morning mist forms on the icy St. Lawrence River (Québec, Canada) when the air is hotter than the water. Makes great pictures

Fun fact, this is partially responsible for the massive lake effect snow events in the great lakes. The lakes warm and cool very slowly due to how much water is in them. When cold airmasses move over the warmer lakes, this condensation gets pulled into the sky. When the clouds hit the colder land they drop all their moisture very quickly. Buffalo and Northern NY are especially famous for this because the narrow shape of lakes erie and ontario have a habit of funneling all of the moisture for the width of the lake into one hyper concentrated band

I tend to go off path myself. But when I’m a new city, first thing I do is a hop on and hop off tour if possible. Helps me figure out what I want to actually spend time on doing of the main attractions. Also, sometimes it just nice to not have to arrange everything on my own. Oh and pub walks and bar walks. Can’t resist those.

0:23 I'm not a steamologist either, so a physicist will have to do lol
Water, as Kika already said, stays warmer for longer than land, because it can hold on to thermal energy very well. The water now heats up a thin layer of air right above the surface. Since the water is comparatively warm, some water will evaporate into this thin layer. The air above land does not get heated from below, so as soon as the sun sets it will cool down. Cold air beeing more dense it tries to get as low as possible, slowly making its way to the sea. Here the cold "land"-air and the warm moist "sea"-air mix together. The cold air however can't hold on to water as well as warm air, so the water condensates, forming the steam just above the surface.

As a kid, I visited the Speedwell cavern in England - boat tour in a cave, propelled by the guide pushing on the ceiling with his feet!
The names of the pointy things, as he taught us, were "stalaCtite" on the Ceiling and "stalaGmite" on the Ground. See what he did there?
Dan's "stalaGtite" is going to outrage all kinds of people. I hope he'll think of a proper penance!

She’s right, the water is warmer than the air. It happens over ground too, some mornings when I go to feed the horses, the fog is covering everything from the ground up to about 4 ft and they just appear running through the fog from the pasture into the barn. It’s a bit scary sometimes because there’s a lot of them & they just appear out of nowhere…..

24:14 With an opening scene of mist and ending with caves and dragons I thought surely this dragon's name was Puff, Puff the Magic Dragon who as we know "lived by the sea... and frolicked in the autumn mist," and who in the end "sadly slipped into his cave." Puff would travel with his friend "on a boat with billowed sails." Back in the day, "Puff" had it's own meaning to a lot of people, and you guys during that rock climbing adventure it seems were trying real hard to get high! Ha, ha!

We see the fog on the water frequently at our dock on the mid Hudson river. You tend to see it most in the early fall when the air is cool and water is still warm. It's great when you have a full moon.

I would imagine it is the same reason fog forms - dew point, humidity and ambient temperature.
    Greek to me.
"Lift the sails and shift the tales" - love it.
I remember being taken water skiing by the locals after I moved to Key Biscayne in junior high - they told me to give a thumbs up once I was vertical - they would then hammer the throttle pulling me right out of my skis - it took me quite a while to realize I should LET GO OF THE SKI ROPE - a good time was had by all, especially the local boys.

One more comment. There are sharks in the Med, around 40-50 species, some Great whites even! They aren’t common but around 100 attacks has been reported since the early 19-hundreds, especially in the Adriatics. There was sightings of shark on a Mallorcan beach around 5 years ago. We enjoyed your vids from Cala Magraner--one of our favorite anchorages on the East Coast. We've often watched the climbers, and the goats, on those cliffs. We also enjoyed seeing you go into Porto Cristo. I'm sure the big Sun Reef motor cat near the entrance is Rafa Nadal's. He has a big home in Porto Cristo and that's where he keeps his 80' cat. The Cueves del Drach have been about the same for at least 30 years--still a worthwhile visit. Hopefully you get to spend some time on Es Trenc, but not during the unpredictable weather seasons. Are you still in the Balearics, and if so, will you be around in May? We should be returning to our boat then and would enjoy a meet-up--perhaps in a nice anchorage.
