Everyone is talking about editing, audio etc. I'm just happy to see that there's another movie set in India. So much culture and potential for great movies to be made. Dev is awesome
“There’s another movie set in India” I know that sentence doesn’t mean “just two” but “another out of many” but still does a movie come to your mind when you wrote that?
@ntbored7727 Yeah, of course, there are more than two. I just think India is relatively untouched when it comes to Hollywood. It's a beautiful country with an amazing culture, and I feel there's so much to explore. Now I'm sure there are more movies that have been set there than I can think of, but there are a few Hollywood/non Bollywood movies that are absolutely fantastic - and the reason they're great is because of India. Also keep in mind that I'm Indian, born in Australia but family is from India and I also lived a few years of my adult life in India, so I'm not a white "curry westerner" as this other wanker on my comment has called me. Most of the movies that are fantastic have Dev Patel in them: - Slumdog Millionaire (really shows the darker side of the country, but is pretty accurate) - LION (amazing true story) - Life of Pi - Extraction
I'm so glad Dev Patel didn't make a film that dances improbably in the middle. Because of this, the film has reached a level where it deserves recognition not just in India but around the world. People say he is John Wick, but he said he was inspired by Korean movies because he has been doing Taekwondo for a long time. For example, Old Boy, The Man from Nowhere, I saw the Devil. And the director of John Wick also said that he was inspired by Korean films such as The Man from Nowhere, and that the bike action scene in John Wick 3 was inspired by The Villainess. I think he probably encountered Korean movies at the same time or faster than director John Wick and created them in his own style over a long period of time. As a result, this film perfectly captures Indian culture, while also containing both the cathartic revenge story of a Korean film and the splendor of Hollywood's John Wick. He marked a turning point in Indian cinema.
Have been a huge fan of Dev Patel since “Lion” where he delivered an extraordinary performance. Seems like he has outdone himself again. What an amazing trailer, just giving literal chills. Can’t wait to see this upcoming masterpiece. Love you Dev❤❤

"Anger will not quiet your soul, my son." is such a line man. Coming from a virtuous man, it is a line to help a storm find peace. @@michaelklassen777 I do not agree with the sentiment or implied truth of the phrase, but I think the simpler point is that the villain is saying that to avoid losing their life as a target of that anger.

“There’s another movie set in India”
I know that sentence doesn’t mean “just two” but “another out of many” but still does a movie come to your mind when you wrote that?
Im asking because I want recommendations lol
Most of the movies that are fantastic have Dev Patel in them:
- Slumdog Millionaire (really shows the darker side of the country, but is pretty accurate)
- LION (amazing true story)
- Life of Pi
- Extraction
How could you NOT love the multiverse? This new "John Patel" movie is going to be fire!
Dev Patel is John Wick's variant in the multiverse.
in hollywood universe, we got the Boogieman. in Bollywood universe, we got Monkeyman 🔥🔥
The trailer is so well made, the music matches the editing perfectly. Haven't been excited for a movie in a long time. Love the comic timing.
