►GAME DESCRIPTION
On a quest for domination once more, Dr. Eggman unleashes a slumbering beast from the center of the world. The event causes a devastating tremor that splinters the world into seven continents and triggers a hair-raising transformation in Sonic. With the world divided and Sonic altered with new abilities and powers, the stage is set for a climactic battle. For when the sun sets, a whole new adventure awakens!

The stage itself is brutal but the framerate actually being consistent made it so much more bearable
I didnt actually struggle with Eggman Land too much on RPCS3, and I dont even have a beefy PC (>25FPS). Guess im just used to horrible frame rates :shrug:

That's because of HDR, they show in full framerate when streamed regardless of available quality.

The fact that it took 14 years and so many console upgrades to finally have a console with the power and ability to run a 2008 PS3/Xbox 360 game on stable frame rates is actually very frightening to think about.
no actually, sonic unleashed was just optimized horribly, generations had similar graphics to unleashed and yet ran WAY better on the same consoles.
Unleashed was simply badly made when it came to optimizations
@sb sb Eh, yes and no. Unleashed was very poorly optimized, but part of that was just that the graphics _were_ incredibly intensive. There are numerous notable graphical downgrades between it and Generations, and in terms of graphics it's probably still the best looking Sonic game. Now, part of that is SEGA falling on hard times and the series not making enough money to justify more staff or upgrade their engine, but the point still stands.

What suprises me, is that people dont know, that the game runs via EMULATION, on the newer consoles, a oficial microsoft emulator made for xbox, thats why its laggy, if X360 with his 512 mb ram with a tri-core 3.2 ghz cpu could run the game at 23-30 fps, a Xbox One with his 8gb ram 2.1 ghz 8 core processor could do it easily at 1080p 60fps

This stage was my nightmare as a kid, but now I actually enjoy it.
This game really deserves some more love, maybe a remaster. It's so much better than a lot of people give it credit for, my ideal modern Sonic game.
The frames per second would be 1080p 30 on ps5 and xbox series X 💀
I think it instead needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, specifically so it plays similarly to Frontiers.

“Removing” the Sun and Moon Medals might a bit much, but the main thing is that Sonic Frontiers was a game that successfully defined a new era for Sonic, so reconfiguring what made Frontiers as good as it was for Unleashed would make it leagues better!

I can tell when someone likes the Werehog when they bother to use the different combos.
Just did it, finally got my revenge because as a kid I could never finish it. For ME, it's the best stage in modern sonic. It's actually long and tough! Which since generations it got so easy and short.... (even more ridiculous in Forces)
I can imagine standing still for an hour in gens, and still getting an A or an S.
I hated this level but now unironically love it after beating it
60 fps on series x?! This almost feels illegal!! I just finished playing this on my One X and the framrate stutters on this stage and jungle joyride but this is impressive 👏
That’s because the Xbox one X emulates the game, while the series X runs it natively

@@dakotalavigne7756 nice! The one problem I have is that the game isn’t in 1080p, but that’s probably because the game wasn’t built to run in proper HD because nobody had a 1080p tv in 2008
@@jackhumphries1087 hmm this is incorrect the Series X still emulates. That said, it is throwing so much power at it at this point. I think there is still a tiny stutter due to the way the game was coded but it is so miniscule on Series X now.
In 2022, I completed Sonic Unleashed for the first time on the Xbox 360 S. This level took me over 2 hours total time. I spent a few continuums on my first attempts, but I ended up defeating Eggmanland in about an hour, as stated upon completion, I got a D rank.
For me i got a B rank first attempt. Still haven’t gotten anything higher than that
I got a C Rank in my first playthrough and took more than one hour to finish Eggmanland.
Didn’t know you could make sonic do flips when he’s on the bobsled. That’s pretty cool
As hard as this stage is, it's very well crafted
At least they give you one ups unlike Dark Gaia

It feels like a gauntlet which a final level hasn't felt like in a long time. In terms of difficulty it reminds me of a final stage from a more challenging 2D game of the 90s. But its difficulty is obviously higher than we are used to with any Sonic game that came before it.
A remastered version of this game would do it justice. Unleashed fundamentally has the clear components & effort poured into this game. With a little more time it could be the complete package

I really love this stage eggman wanted a theme park I actually love it day and night are combined in this stage
Something that has completely flown over my head every time when booting this stage up was the cutscene before the level.
Eggman goes: "If you have any complaints, come deliver them to me in person... if you can that is."
And I realized... it wasn't Eggman saying that... it was SEGA THEMSELVES.

Pues en Sonic Frontiers con la Expansión Gratis de The Final Horizon y la Historia de Trip en Superstars trataron de poner una Dificultad igual o más Desafiante que la de Eggmanland, aunque a algunas personas no les gustó del todo el resultado por lo Complicados que pueden sentirse.
@@pokechao0308hermano literal esas etapas no están bien construidas, yo me los pase y no le encontraba ni pies ni cabeza a los desafíos, a su vez la escala de dificultad me pareció feo porque literalmente te deja al Sonic base del juego inservible
Seguramente el desarrollador que las hizo tenía unas ganas de joder a todo el mundo ese día y decidió hacerlas asi
best eggman stage of the whole bunch in my opinion. Though that might partly be because this was my very first sonic game ever. but I only managed to finish this stage years later. I was 6 when I first played the game, but I finished the game when I hit 12-13

People always say “Boost makes the recent Sonic Games too easy”. Then there’s shit like this game.

I remember my first attempt on PS3. 10 deaths and 70 minutes to complete. What a time.

This is literally the opposite problem Sonic stages have nowadays. Even as a final gauntlet, this level is altogether too damn long. Especially if you haven't stocked up on lives.
I completed this level with only 3 or 5 lives and it took me 2 hours to complete
It’s only 40 minutes at most and then it saves. And the most difficult section gives you a life for every attempt so running out shouldn’t be much of an issue.

@@flango348 I'm talking first attempt back when the game was new. Not a terminal Sonic fan's experience.
And even still, 40 minutes is an insane amount to just brush off like it's nothing.

New Yoke City from Sonic Prime resembles this level.
Yeah it Is most likely that they took heavy inspiration from this level, the Skybox, the buildings, the idea of a big area dominated by the eggman empire and the overall aesthetic
I first thought that is was one of or not the hardest stage in the game! But now I think it is easy

Even with unleashed sonics speed the stage is insanely long. Frontiers sonic would take forever to finish it.
