As a teenager and an adult, I noticed my acne flare up after a glass of milk. I do not consume any dairy and my acne is gone. =) I have the clearest skin I have ever had in my life. I wish I knew this as a teen!

@@PhysiciansCommittee for the dry skin, all what she said is good, but I suggest, washing with aloe Vera and even put some in your smoothies, helps to hydrate , you can wash and then rinse again with aloe Vera water, from the plant, not the bottle. And also you might consider sea butter, the original, is very in expensive and you can leave it on the entire night, does wonders for your skin.

My skin’s always been a great red flag 🚩 alerting me to a health issue or imbalance. Eg: stress, exhaustion, nutrition, allergies, dehydration... I read that you should only put on your body which is ok to eat. This eliminates all consumer products. (Saves $ too!) I use baking soda for facial scrub & olive or almond oil for moisturizer. + plant based diet=no more eczema, acne or other weird skin allergies. 😃

Dr. Greger also likes flax seed, but his advice is to eat no more than one tablespoon per day if you're going to eat it everyday.

I wonder why her skin doesn’t look very clear. Mine didn’t finally clear up until I went very low carb and stopped being whole foods plant based.

Are redness and severe spider veins on the face related to diet and if so, how can diet help to improve them?

Doc! When you said sugar affect acne too. You meant insulin resistance right? Cause, like you said insulin resistance affects acne. Which means, it's not sugars, (thou when insuline resistance is happening we need to decrese carbs consumption) but actual cause is fats in our muscle cells, that what have insuline resistance and have sugars in our blood, of course now eating more sugars means more insuline resistance and more acne. Just to be clear, get rid off fats in your muscle cells, be on low fats whole food plant based diet, keep your carbs complex, cause it releases slowly in your body. And then you will not have insuline resistance and hence no sugars cauing acne 👍🌱

Is there a link to where she talks about hidradenitis suppurativa, my ex and a lot of her family on her mother's side have this condition, her brother has it but not to the same extent as the females in the family do. I used to redress wounds after surgery but beyond that and making some changes to her diet to reduce her blood pressure, I wasn't able to help. I still see the family and am aware of their diets and lifestyles so anything to help point them in the right direction and reduce the frequency of surgery or medication would be great.

I've been vegan since 2016 and I still have acne, though not as bad as when I was not vegan. It probably helped, going vegan. But dairy isn't the only reason for acne.

My acne finally went away once I stopped being whole food plant based and went very low carb instead. It was really fast too, I was shocked considering how many years I suffered with it.

Because soap is base and skin is acidic, one can reduce the drying effect of washing the hands by following with a few spritzes of apple cider vinegar/water (half and half), rub on hands & rinse -- now using lotion only a couple times in winter and hands are no longer cracking! Also yes eat some avo and/or nuts, seeds

CeraVe Brand is not cruelty free and still tests on animals!!!
Dove Brand is and has been cruelty free for 30 years!!
Their Intensive cream is great for the winter and has a very light scent, a little goes a long way. I use it on my face and hands, haven’t had a breakout yet.

I'm a vegan but the setup of this "show" is just a joke. It gives me cancer. Starts with "continuing here" like this is not just a chill, pre-filmed clip, but like he's in the middle of a 24 hour marathon show broadcasted live and he's super stressed out.
