    The proper procedure for the rotor nut is the following: Tighten the castle nut to 10 ft lbs (120 inch lbs) while rotating the rotor to seat the bearings. Don't over tighten. Then loosen the nut 1/4 turn. Then tighten the nut by hand and align the castle nut with cotter pin hole. Since using a torque wrench for all the other bolts, might as well do this step correctly as well. I have a full detailed video on this subject as well for more info with Stock style rotors on my 74 Nova.

      Thanks. The procedure I used is from the 72 service manual.

    Great video, your Wilwood brakes seem to spin much more freely than mine.

    Did you ever complete a video for a wilwood rear disc brake upgrade. I don’t see anything

    Did the swap result in the wheel mounting flange surface moving either in (toward center of vehicle) or outward (toward outer fender) from the relative location of where the wheel mounted on the outside of the drum? The reason I ask is I have a 70 Elky with drums (and I'd like to go disc) but I can't have the wheel mounting surface move any more outward or I will have wheel clearance issues with outer fender metal with my current rims/tires combo. Cool video.

    What’s the cause for them dragging or locking up?

      Myth. Disc brakes dont drag enough to slow car.

    Hey are those 12.19 rotors and will that fit a 68 camaro??

    • @GoatRopeGarage
      @GoatRopeGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are one size down, of I recall right, to fit a 15 inch rim. Should work on the Camaro
