With the IntelliTracker it's exactly the same workflow. Just use the IntelliTracker box which pops up by default if you're in DR Studio. 🫡 EDIT: Totally forgot about this... the IntelliTracker is a new feature in DaVinci Resolve Studio version 19! So, in Studio 18, you'll also only have the point tracker available. 🙏🏻🔥
Way back when I remember the days of manually using multiple keyframes and endless frustration going back and forth redoing the tracking when I first started video editing in older NLEs. It's come a long way and I am digging the simplicity and other AI features that the devs. and programmers are adding to make things simpler to do. Thanks again Joris for the quick simple explanation. Always good to have a refresher reference handy when needed. 👍
Thank you, I've really been wanting to know how to do something just like this. I'll have to play with it a little bit, but I think it'll be really easy once I get the hang of it
This helped me so much thank you so much! After you get done with the motion tracking, how can you add blur to the object that you’re attaching the motion tracking to? I have a video where this is supposed to be happening in the background and I don’t know how to add blur to it.
Wow - that was simple enough that I may even remember how to do it 😁 Also thanks for note re Studio and IntelliTracker - useful for those of us with Studio as we of course don't want to do extra work unnecessarily 😁
When I do this with my footage uncolored, after I color it, the PNG I've added gets the same color effects applied to it. So my PNG image is getting a rec 709 out added to it which it does not need. Do you know how to this with a workflow where your footage is uncolored? I saw you used and exported clip already.
Well, great with a clip and a logo Now, say I have two clips - say ie a car with a closed bonnet - and the same car with an open bonnet, engine showing. Unfortune - they are from slightly different angels - and I want the engine being shown shimmering through the closed bonnet - like an x-ray view. How to sync both videos - possible to connect tracks from both media to align properly?
@JorisHermans I think your next planned video may be the answer to my problem, as I need to get some "muzzle flashes" to track with a moving object in my video. You are becoming my go-to for problem solving in Davinci Resolve and I thank you for it.
I'm trying to track a canned drink in someones hand and track it as he drinks it and crushes it and put a fake can image on it to follow and tried both trackers on his hand and his drink but it doesnt follow it. Is there a way to do this in Color?

With the IntelliTracker it's the same workflow but it usually does a better job at tracking because it's more... intelligent... I guess? 🤔🤷🏻♂️😅
@@JorisHermans Thanks and haha - you know you write just like you talk - all part of that charming "shtick" (as they'd say in New York) I guess 😁

what if your finger goes out of frame? how would you make the image follow it out
Manually keyframe it

Not first 😄
1 st......
Dat is zeker niet de bedoeling 😅
🇧🇪🍻😎
Everything works except my Davinci Resolve 18.6 doesn’t have “match move” option in the drop-down box. I don’t know why. So it doesn’t work.
Nice,and how i make it dissapear after ? @JorisHermans
