Totally forgot about this... the IntelliTracker is a new feature in DaVinci Resolve Studio version 19! So, in Studio 18, you'll also only have the point tracker available. 🙏🏻🔥
why am i seeing a background node in the fusion page when i do this? I ignored it and everything tracked the way it was supposed to so no big deal. im also noticing that the intellitracker does some weird things if your timeline playback resolution is not at FULL. Love the videos, helping me learn Davinci 1 trick at a time!
Hi. Can you make a video tutorial on how to align a floating horizon when shooting video manually? The horizon is bigger on one side of the video, then on the other. Thank you!
Epic! I'm really not that familiar with all those fusion capabilities and your tutorials are super easy to follow. Do you have a tutorial where you plant a logo somewhere and it doesnt even move? Say I have a drone shot and concrete ground I'd want to have a logo which isnt moving (tracked) like planted into the plane
Love this video. Question: Is there a way to use Surface Tracker to place video on something like a shirt or even skin as you would with a logo or other graphic?
Everything seemed to work for me up until i tried moving the pivot for the second clip. After I connect it to the tracker node, pivot does nothing. Any advice?
Great tutorial, but my "media 2" disappears when I connect it to the offset position. Do you have any idea why this happens? In fact, when I connect the second video to any other tracking mode, it disappears
What if I want to make a video appear on top of another video whenever I want? for example from minute 1 to minute 2, also making him go out of the camera and then return into the frame. the problem is that when I do it the video starts from the beginning not from the point where I made the track.
@@JorisHermans On minute 1:24 you show the Intellytracker... I have studio version but I have the normal tracker.. and on the left panel where you have the tracking points , I don't have Intellytracker... probably is only for version 19? 🙂
Hi, so I followed the steps perfectly, but whenever I try to slide the tracker to what I want to track, 3/4 of the screen turns into a png background and I can't track the thing I want to. How do I fix this? This doesn't happen when the 2 clips aren't in one fusion clip by the way.
Thanks for a great tutorial! I'm on Davinci Studio 19.0.2 and when I try this the object that I want to follow the tracked path gets offset. I tried changing the pivot factors when in transform, but only the marker for the center of the object changes, the object is STILL offset. I know I've done something wrong, I just can't figure out why. Going mental.
This happened to me too! Not sure what went wrong but a workaround for me was changing the Centre X & Y factors on the Merge 2 node instead of the Transform node like in the video.
How do install Envato video clips to Davinci. I downloaded some clips I would go to my media pool and go to my download folder and click on a clip and click open and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Joris, I love your videos and have learned so much as a new DR user but I’m having an issue and hope you’d be kind enough to comment. My videos have images and video but when I zoom in the photo images to remove the black around them, my entire rendered video is zoomed in 1-2x. I’ve tried numerous things in the inspector, reconstructed the entire video with new project and timeline settings and nothing seems to work. When I render a 1080x1920 h264 30 fps video without stretching the photo images, it does not zoom in. I do have mixed rate clips at 59.94 and 30/29.97 fps from different cameras. Thank you!
I found the solution the things he did in the video.... follow the exact same thing.... no need to add the merge node anymore....the new version has made things even more easier just add the tracker node between your Human Subject node and it's respective Merge node and then add the transform node between your object which you want to track node and it's respective merge node and you are good to go.... use this object's Merge node to change the blending composition and just ignore the background node...
@JorisHermans Thank you so much for this video. Well done, great quality (way better than my tutorial videos). I gave you a shout out in my video description covering something I discovered that makes the process even more precise (even in the free version!). You earned a like and subscription, Joris! @@JorisHermans right, that's cool. There's so much to resolve that I never use, but once or twice a year I might need too. Definitely bookmarked this one.

You mean a difference in tracking results?

YOU ARE A GOD
Yes. Yes, I am.
What do I do if my object leaves the frame of what I’m shooting. Like a building that’s moving out of frame in a drone shot
Knowing you got an Eos M50..how do I check shutter count of it.. whenever I upload to sites to check it shows no shutter data

Sensational.
I'm trying to track a person that goes offrame as the camera pans from him then back but the box goes to the person beside him after he leaves frame.
Best video

Does this work with green screen videos? Could you try it out?
How would I track an image to my shirt, and not have it mess up, when my arms cross in front of my shirt?

How do you zoom in the images?
Using the transform button to zoom in to fill the frame or in the inspector by dragging the zoom buttons. Done it both ways.
When I create a new fusion clip and then go to the Fusion page, I see two Merge nodes and one Background1 node. I'm not sure why it's happening
same for me
I found the solution
the things he did in the video....
follow the exact same thing....
no need to add the merge node anymore....the new version has made things even more easier
just add the tracker node between your Human Subject node and it's respective Merge node

use this object's Merge node to change the blending composition
and just ignore the background node...

Great tuto
Your link to "Spinning Globe" downloads the project for Adobe AE
When I click on it, it just links to a video clip of the spinning globe, not a project.
Are you forget about planar tracking? Which has scale and perspective function
great guy!
geinig effect! Leuk om te doen een keer
Awesome, assuming this is an alpha video clip? Love the free and studio versions.
No, alpha channel is not necessary in this case. Just a black background.
@@JorisHermans any black background? So is it acting as a green screen then?
So, if you set the Composite Mode or Apply Mode like it's called here to Screen, all the black areas of the video (or image) turn transparent.
