Boring to watch but so relaxing to fly - E-flite UMX Radian

- Yes, I know, videos with the UMX Radian are long and not that interesting so I probably won't be doing many videos with it soon unless I have any mods or updates.
But it's so easy and relaxing to fly I just can't help myself.

I fly mine every chance I get along with my night vapor both planes are very relaxing to fly on a calm day and the batteries are cheap. The umx radian bnf is a awesome value so is the night vapor you can't go wrong with either airplane!!!
Oh yeah, just got this and I fly it more than anything else now. Will probably get a Night Vapor soon as well, love how you can slow that thing down.

I've been flying the original Parkzone Radian that pulled me back into RC and that new and cheap FrSky telemetry w/Vario. Mine has been rebuilt, has a bit of added carbon, a second set of wings has flaperons...not needed, don't fly em. Mine is painted red, had a very datlight bright automoyive led strobe on the bottom, runs elrs diversity, a Matek Vario/gps/vbat board, and with all that it is very relaxing, catches thermals well when they are about and lands back into my hand. I don't really like the current 2m one with its screw in wings, mine are friction fit and covered in opaque rep packing tape for a bit of stiffness, climbs almost vertically...it is a winner. I like the little one too. several flyers at our club love em too.
Wow, that sounds cool. Except for the lights not very attracted by the 2 meter Radian but I do like the Conscendo, might be getting one of those.
Boring? This thing is awesome to fly. I do rolling circles with mine. Surprised the heck out of me that it could do that. It can also fly inverted.
Not boring to fly but boring to watch probably 😄 For now I kept it nice and tame but I will keep on pushing it to see what it can do, it's an awesome little plane

What transmitter are you using for this? There is a club here in South Dakota and they love their RadioMasters. They say get what the majority of the club uses. I was however leaning towards the NX8 for its ease of use. But it’s a little pricey.
I use a NX10. I'm sure Radiomaster would be fine, might be a bit more complicated to set up.
Do you have other planes or plan on getting more? I went with Spektrum because I mostly fly BNF E-flite planes.
The transmitter is probably the biggest investment in this hobby, if you have to sell it to get something else you probably lose a lot of money, I know, I went through 3. Spektrum can be expensive, but so is Futaba, Jeti, etc, I usually go for budget electronics but the transmitter is a good case of buy once, cry once as you can use 10+ years, I see it more as an investment.
@@A.M.-RC I’m coming back onto the hobby after a decade or more away. My last transmitter was a JR at 72MHz. (I think). I flew foamy dlg wings. Coming from a hang gliding background, so I like catching thermals. I’m older and retired now. Just moved to the flatlands so thought I’d see what’s up. The sport has really evolved.
@@gliderriderthe UMX Radian is great but I would also look at the UMX Conscendo, a lot more capable. The Radian is more like a leaf in the wind, Conscendo is like a dart. I do enjoy both but Conscendo is better in the wind and has a much wider flight envelope.
I flew my Night Radian on the 4th
Cool, love night planes but the big Radian is just too big for me. I do hope I can add lights to this one soon.
