Yes sir a refined Delta. Not being a jet flyer or much of a pilot at all I flew your Delta the other week. Two successful flights and one hard landing. I had to fix the nose. Another successful flight but ate a cornstalk, wind drift. Just the nose replaced. Successfully took it off from dry shortcut grass, it was great. This new version will be added to the collection that I have of your stuff, another nice job.

Sorry if this is dumb but I think you can simply make a ball joint with a nozzle with four strings attached to the nozzle at the cardinal points. Then just loop a string around two rotation motors up and down left and right and have full 360 thrust vector. Also seems like a butane injector and an electric ignition could get you an after burner effect just for giggles. I don’t think the thrust vector would cost that much weight at all if you used just two small servos.
More likely than not, the Carrier version will have two engines. But regardless of any of that speculation, bull what an amazing project awesome job.Great video thanks for sharing.
FA-XX and NGAD are separate programs, developing different aircraft, to different contract requirements. But they do have some tech-sharing channels in place, to hopefully create some amount of parts sharing and R&D cost savings. Interesting RC, it really flies! Looks kinda like a Boeing Bird of Prey mated with a Saab Drakken.
This has given me so much energy and delight watching, please make a 90mm file available. Hope to build soon amazing work sir. And it looks insanely cool

Omg this is the content I've been looking for dude i have an idea for a video if you want to try it Also you always have to think about battery/fuel or you might have a bad day
To get rid of the vertical stabs completely would be to make a full 3d thrust vectoring nozzle to fight the planes constant want to go into an uncontrollable flat spin. Would be awesome if you could pull it off. Either way, that little beast is legit bada$$.
Hey. I’m gonna drop some details from NGAD that may or may not be “secret.” Try removing the vertical stabilizers, and go with twin ducted engines with 2-axis thrust vectoring for full control (you get the roll axis by differing the pitch of the thrust vectoring between the two engines). Also, try changing the wing geometry and weight distribution for a near-neutral COL and COM. No dihedral or incident angle on the wings, just a flat flying diamond with a vee-shaped leading and trailing edge that’s more or less mirror symmetrical. Additionally, add leading edge control surfaces that mirror what the trailing edge control surfaces do. You are doing everything possible to neutralize any aerodynamic biases on the airframe. The results are a plane that has full post-stall maneuvering in all axes as well as the ability to “drift” and even coast “in reverse” if balanced right. The perfect mach 2.7 stealth jet with helicopter-esque loitering ability 😁
@@StealthTheUnknown if you really have some inside info, napkin sketches or even send me a photo of a public rendering that’s close to the NGAD and I’ll make it! I’ve always wanted to make a control surface free design where the F22 style TV nozzles will do pitch and roll together like a standard elevon setup like on my FA/XX. Also how can I stabilize this without tails? I’ve tried it a few times without success. I’m not sure a gyro can do it. Send me a napkin sketch if you’re interested builtfastkyle@gmaildotcom
@@hotlapkyle THAT is a good question 😉 gotta protect your sources. Note that a lot of this stuff is projected and not real-world data from actual flights from a real airframe, it’s “back of envelope” numbers. The science is sound, the execution is something else . . . I’ve tinkered with the idea and I know that it’s a solid idea. The only instability is an uncommanded yawing moment in forward flight. You correct it by doing kind of what you did here, the body of the craft. Get laminar flow over the body and “wingless tail”, eliminate flow separation as much as possible. The other thing that matters is the bottom-up aspect area of the nose and the geometry of it - if it’s deflecting air too much it’ll encounter a self-reinforcing deviation instead of a self-correcting one (the nose is obviously forward of both the CoM and CoP, that checks out.)
