Target is so much more brighter and cleaner than Walmart. What I like best about Target is every cashier have the ability to over ride or correct any purchase, they don't have to page a supervisor or manager.

Can we just talk about how clean the bathrooms in target are vs walmart? When you want to take a picture or just get something off your hands like some thung that poured out in your purse target is just cleaner and looks way more fancier and the people who clean the bathrooms actually care and plus they have starbucks and other stores within them and everything is just much better

To an extent you are correct. I used to work there, cashiers can’t do what ever they want we would still have to get managers for some things. Still, much better than Walmart!

Yes! I had an item that I grabbed off a rack but there was no barcode and the item number didn’t register, so the cashier just gave it to me for 3 bucks!

In Dallas it's not *THAT* packed, usually theres a super long wait, but you can find pretty much anything while not bumping or rubbing up next to many people...I dont want to sound like an oldie, but the old target layout was much better, same in every single store with maybe the toy aisles switched

Actually Walmart is rebranding their clothes. I use to never get clothes at Walmart and now I'm actually stopping and picking up clothes. They are basic and trendy the clothes they are coming out with. Walmart food is cheaper, they always have workers working. Ton of self-checkouts.

Try Thinking For a change Actually at the Super Target I worked at a whole new set of aisles was added to the main track and the grocery section was bigger than it has ever been before. These re models are a lot more than just a little touch up, sometimes workflow for team members can change entirely and the new fixtures really increase all around sales. I’d say the remodels in my district are a great sign of the companies health.

The store redesigns are impressive. They are definitely back to being a more high end compared to Walmart. But there is 0 push to get me shopping online. I think they are lacking in this critical area. The stores will consistently see drops in sales as consumers purchase more online (could say this any year since 1999). Yet, Target has no real online strategy. This troubles me.

    • @muddi900
      @muddi900 6 ปีที่แล้ว +33

Their digital strategy is driving you to the stores. They even tell you where the product is in the store. and they are price competitive with Amazon and Walmart. My local walmart is seems to be gearing up for a similar update, since all the aisles are being labeled like Target, so the strategy seems to be working.

muddi900 walmart already has this feature for couple of years. When you are inside store and search for item, the app will show store price and aisle location. During checkout we can use walmart pay by just scanning QR code and walmart will automatically deduct money from our online credit card. It also generates online receipt and can submit for savings catcher immediately to check for cheaper price for purchased items. If they find better price, they will refund difference amount. All these are done with single click of button. We also don’t need to save physical copy of receipt for returns. Just scan online receipt stored in you app account. But i agree they are now putting aisle number more prominent just like target.

Been working at Target for a couple weeks now, and 1 thing I’ve noticed (at least at the location I work at), that I really appreciate is the broad selection of music played on the intercom throughout the store. I have yet to hear the same song twice in the same day.
It might seem insignificant, but I think many people who work in retail, or HAVE worked in retail, can relate to the annoyance of the sameee damnnn playlist over and over again, just playing on a never ending loop. It’s annoying and repetitive and kinda makes the day go by slower to me. So big kudos to Target for keeping things fresh with their music. I’ve heard everything here. From 80’s rock, to rap, some pop here and there, it’s super varied, which I like!

Amazon raised its fees. Each product on Amazon has a bunch of fees that's included in the product's price. In general a seller can't make much of a profit if they sell a product on Amazon for less than $10.
I once saw a $4 mug plus $7 Amazon fees, plus shipping costs, and taxes. But in order for the seller to make a profit, they added $6.50. From memory I think the mug was priced on Amazon for $25 in total. Now things are getting more expensive, due to the 25% trade tariffs with China. You will notice most Amazon products are from China. So the $4 mug will become $5.

Employees are always pulled from what they are supposed to be doing to do other things and can never get their job done. No matter what any of the workers do it's never good enough, I'm a Cart Attendant, Cashier, Electronics Member, Service Desk assistant, Drive Up Delivery assistant, Janitor, and help stock products. I can never get anything done because when I start one thing I'm expected to do everything. I'm always being taken away from things before they are done to do something else that won't get done before I'm moved somewhere else. I'm expected to do all those different things while receiving little pay. Long Story short from an employee point of view it's a terrible place.

I loved shopping at Target when I was in the US for vacation. But I also loved going to Walmart and looking at all the different stuff. My mom and I spent a whole afternoon at the store when we only wanted to get lunch. It was dark outside when we got out. We didn't even buy that much, just looked at stuff, and we had so much fun.

The best part about target clothes is finally I can shop a brand that is true to size. There accessories and bag section is also amazing. The quality of the women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories is surpassing many boutique brands which have a hefty price tag. Target is an experience. It is a fun welcoming place where you can hang out with friends and have a good time. Very glad they rebranded themselves.

I worked at Target when they were in Canada. Them leaving really opened my eyes to how fake these corporations are. Target professed to LOVE Canada... they spouted their jargon about how important we are, while they quickly abandoned our relationship. It was a big surprise at the time, but now I understand it was a new CEO. ONE man burned bridges with a whole country for the Target brand. Since every community STILL has empty red big box stores that are unused... I believe Target will now NEVER make it in Canada.

The problem is that Target doesn’t employ enough people to do their jobs 100% accurately and efficiently. They demand a lot for minimum wage pay. They give you a task that literally says it will take 8 hours to do in 3 hours time. From the guest service to multiple job task to the not enough hours to qualify for health benefits can lead one to find better job opportunity elsewhere. From these experiences, it will lead me to never shop at Target again.

I used to work for Target. It has to be the WORST PLACE I EVER WORKED!!! Low pay, extremely rude and demeaning managers, not enough staff to handle the workload which made it very unsafe because we had to rush to get the massive workload done or we would get yelled at by managers...slave labor, no customer service when you needed it as a shopper- not enough cashiers or floor people to help. My friends, family and I quit shopping there too. Some of my family members tried working there, and said the same thing and quit working there. There's a Target about 1.4 miles from my house and I shop there frequently. In fact, the people at guest services know me by name due to how often I pick things up from them. I use online ordering frequently and pick up from them because it's easy, and convenient. And honestly, I'm rooting for them over Amazon and Walmart, not only because they are a good company, but they treat their employees a lot better than the latter two do.
That alone makes them good in my book. I wish nothing but the best for them.
