There are 30 U.S. cities that have at least two teams in the “big four” professional sports leagues: The NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.
So, how do all 30 major US sports cities stack up against each other in terms of recent production, present state and long-term outlook? We’re here to solve that.
Again, this list is only including cities slash markets with at least two major teams. So, let’s get right to it!
Don’t forget to subscribe to TPS and make sure you hit the bell and turn on our notifications and join the notification squad.

This video should be renamed "Current Ranking of all Major Sport Cities". It seems they favor recent success more than overall success
I can agree this list is awfully bias this channel fell of since JF MC DY and JB left TPS (if you don’t know who those initials are then you ain’t a real one)
Who wants to be a real one of tps
@@hankhill4552 who names their son Hank what do we live in the 40’s🤡
@@johnomalley7211 bro it's a character from King of the Hill.
@@kingturtle19 oh that explains it I don’t watch that show
I love the shifting standards between each city
OMG BRO what was that THIS VIDEO IS HORRIBLE
how can you exclude the Anaheim Ducks but include the Angels when they play across the street from one another??
I find it baffling that my city was ranked number 12. Let alone made it past 20. Minneapolis hasn’t even made it to a championship in over 30 years in any of the 4 major sports. (No I don’t count the Minnesota Lynx). I get that none of my teams are bad, but they are always labeled as the default teams that are fun to watch in the season, but always get eliminated early in the playoffs. I just wish my teams can get out of the cycle of being good, but not good enough. It’s tough being a Minnesota sports fan.
Keep up your fantastic videos, God bless you
Cincinnati is/should be at least top ten as of today. Bengals speak for themselves, the reds have shocked everyone, and FC is kicking butt. Our city hasn’t been this happy in like 50 years.
video idea: ranking every special team unit in the nfl
W
I would like to hear about the MLS
I’m from Minneapolis but we’re way to high on this list
It's not a big sports city
@@dubstepphene82 and DC is?
I'm from Hopkins
The thing about Milwaukee is that the Packers are an honorary team there. Not only have they been THE most popular team throughout Wisconsin for the last 30 years, they also played 3 games a year down in MKE up until 1994 (and still sell tickets to those games separately as a "Milwaukee ticket package").
Awsome video.
You guys should do the best and worst moment all time for every nfl team
That’s a great idea
Just skip the Seahawks
I don’t wanna be reminded of the 1 yard line 😭😭😭😭
@@Cybernetic_28 As a Seahawks fan, I agree. However, we will always be fortunate to look back on the 43-8 Super Bowl 48!!
@@parkerkilen3526 yep 👍
How is Chicago 15th? With 3 dynasty’s over the past 30 years and both baseball teams have won a WS… cubs in 2016 was monumental… i really don’t understand how the twin cities could ever be higher than chicago. When did they last win anything
Bro omg this is a horrendous list…
Do they not know who the Hawks are about to draft?
TPS hates Chicago. Every video where this city and team is referenced, this dude craps on the city, treams and players.
Miami is going to be higher up there soon. Panthers and Heat in the finals, Marlins are strong, Dolphins have possibly the best roster in the NFL, and Inter-Miami just signed Messi.
Miami over Houston though???? SMH!
you Guys should do a ranking of all 124 big 4 sports teams
Wanna iclude nearby brooklyn😂😂😂😂 that got me
Fughittabouttit! 😉
I am very happy with Denver’s spot
same and as fan of All 3 clubs
Seattle Sounders won the Champions League last season too, becoming the first MLS side to do so
Can you guys do top ten defenses that could become the legion of boom 2.0 in the next few years?
"The Knicks and Nets are always in the playoff race"... something feels very wrong about that
Do the 5 most under rated sports teams and the 5 most over rated sports teams day 6

Cleveland should be in the bottom 5 to put a smile on God's face again
WTF is this Miami slander, they just got Messi, have two finals teams, a super bowl contender if healthy, and a decent baseball team. All this and they're SIXTENTH, L take.
Raleigh only has 1 team but man is that place insane
Loudest house in the NHL.... PNC ARENA!!! We love our Canes and we are some of the most devout hockey fans despite being in a so-called "non-traditional" market
And has the only team in the state to bring home a championship. Move the Panthers and Hornets to Raleigh! Then again, Charlotte can keep the Hornets 😂
If we include college sports Raleigh would be one of the best sport cities in the nation
They should do a video were they realign the divisions to be more eco-friendly
It's interesting to mention Brooklyn as "not a new York team" then discuss two football teams that play in New Jersey...
Please do more hockey and baseball
How is Minnesota so high... I Mean I live in MN and none of our teams deserve higher than like chicago...
The Seattle Sounders won the MLS cup in 2018 how come nobody talks about that accomplishment?
Not to mention the CONCACAF CHAMPIONSHIP
How are you gonna say buffalo is one of the worst sports cities based off of team success? They have some of the most loyal fanbases and will do anything for sports
boston is ONE!!! LA doesn’t compete
Fax
Awful take lmao
La is bandwagon and all of Boston is loyal
@@ryancarlson8297 it’s not about fanbases lol it’s about the teams success in this vid
@@Bruins31 Boston had way more success than Los Angeles
The Lions are single handedly the reason Detroit is so low on this list.
Hold up, I don’t necessarily disagree with the ranking but put a bit of respect on the Diamondbacks? They are actually pretty damn good right now. And same for the Texas Rangers who are the second best team in baseball at the moment.
12:14 Los Angeles, California will also host the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Bro how is Boston not one, they have more upside than LA, more chips, and a brighter future…
You should make a countdown of the Top 10 best women’s pro sports teams all time.
Perhaps you are not aware that the LA Angels play in Anaheim, across the street (Katella) from Anaheim Stadium. If you count the Angels, you must count the Ducks!

good question
@@andrewkauffman5453 The football videos are the only ones I really watch, but yeah they are kind of unreasonable with some things they say on the football videos
They have some really bad takes and hate on some teams while they glaze others.
they dont know how to spot a good uniforms and their fb takes are mid to bad.
@@aztecismyfavsubject7993 Ok thats fair
Kyler Murray is fun to watch when he is on his game.
What game?
When he is good as a quarterback?
Or when he is playing Call Of Duty?
"What Game?" 🤣
To be fair. The Colorado Rockies did made it to the World Series in 2007
Vegas would be way better if they would have done it after VGK won the cup
The Sabres actually came super close to making the playoffs last year
And The Bandits have 5 League Championships
@@onefadedgunner3281 yeah
I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area but we’re way hella high on this list
Woulda been nice if maybe Toronto coulda been added as we have 3 major sports teams…we do exist, US doesn’t have em all, we only Canadian City with 2 or more
The diamond backs are good this season
So are the Miami Marlins and Texas Rangers.
If the packers were located in Milwaukee, Milwaukee would be top 5
I would bet that most Milwaukeeians(?) would be Packers fans be a large majority....
If Toronto was in this list it would be like 16th or something.
I mean idk about you but I consider the Panthers Miami isn’t Sunrise only 30mins away? I think Miami should be higher tbh
As a die hard New York sports fan and you talking about the New York metropolitian area, that is 9 local Pro Sports teams, Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, and you kinda forgot about the Devils they are part of the New York metro area, Tri-State Area, NY/NJ market get it right TPS and we are ranked #7 we should be ranked higher than that at least #3, or #2
Cincinnati at 25? I wasn't expecting my hometown to be ranked this low. Currently the Reds are sitting at .500, FC Cincinnati is the best MLS team in the league, and the Bengals are a Super Bowl contender with Joe Burrow. Out of all NFL teams that have never won a super bowl, the Bengals have the best chance at winning their first Super Bowl.
"What changes would YOU make to our rankings of the best major US sports cities?"
I guess I would introduce some kind of consistent standard for ranking that makes sense
The bandits just won the nll cup
No way Detroit Is ahead of buffalo bro
Miami should be higher with the panthers and now inter Miami getting Messi
0:23 - Drat, no Salt Lake City then…
I thought you were going to rank the actual cities lol
Did this dude say "Kawahee Leonard"??
Man what happened to this channel…
Yeah I’m confused is this recent/current state because if it’s like all time then Chicago needs to be top 5
The reds made the expanded 2020 postseason
This list sucks Arizona and Cincinnati over DETROIT? How?
Honestly, I think they haven’t seen the mlb season this year but otherwise, fine
The sabers are not the NHL's laughing stock anymore. That would belong to the coyotes. The sabers have an electric offense and an amazing young goalie in Devon Levi. They will make the postseason in the coming years
Why not consider MLS as a major league in America LA two great teams Philadelphia also has a great soccer club talk about Seattle soccer club which have won a couple of major tournaments including an international one
This dudes ability to continually mispronounce the names of NBA players and NBA players only never fails to amaze me
What about the mls
What's up, TPS? Here's a rather unique video suggestion I wanna share: Every North American Pro Sports City's Greatest Sports Hero. Let me explain. You pick a sports hero who best symbolized & represented their city. Like this:
Atlanta: Hank Aaron
Brooklyn: Jackie Robinson
Boston: Bill Russell
Chicago: Michael Jordan
Denver: John Elway
Edmonton: Wayne Gretzky
Los Angeles: Magic Johnson
New York: Babe Ruth
San Francisco: Joe Montana
I got the idea from a Sporting News article I read online, so the Sporting News deserves a good share of the credit. But please let me know what you at TPS think. Hope to hear from you again soon.
also golden knights won 23 stanley cup
What about Toronto they got the jays and leafs
You should add MLS TOO
Hold on....WTH Tampa is #5????
Los Angeles number 1 yup and number 5 Tampa I agree
What about Columbus, Orlando, Portland, Salt Lake City and 2025 San Diego?
It’s not including MLS
miami's top 10
Why would you include the angels, but not the ducks?
Why no mention of any MLS teams?
Hopefully with Messi now more people will pay attention to MLS
While MLS is self-proclaimed 'major', the list only includes the four truly major leagues.
@@admirals818 In many ways such as attendance and fan base culture it’s comparable to the other leagues but the best leagues are in Europe. Those championships are still felt in their communities though. San Jose Earthquakes winning the Supporters Shield in 2012 was a great moment for me!
LA ALL DAY 😎 DODGERS KINGS RAMS LAKERS TROJANS
Love how mls isn’t even considered
It’s because our soccer isn’t viewed internationally. NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB all have international interest but they shouldn’t ever have to watch MLS😂
Sarcasm? If not, I don’t. MLS should be a factor.
LA would still be number one since the MLS Cup has been won 6 times (5 with the Galaxy and 1 with LAFC).
But for a league that has grown leaps and bounds and is a blast to watch, MLS gets zero coverage on this channel.
@@vaporterra sarcastic but as a soccer player it’s just eh, I don’t watch much mls so I could care less
@@it_fabledturbo6610 It’s our local league and aside from Messi joining more clubs are focusing on developing young players. It’s unlikely it’ll ever be a top 5 league like in Europe but there’s a lot of reason to watch
My hometown the City of Angels is number 1 !!!!
Miami should be higher up, you left out panthers are in the finals, hurricanes basketball went to the final four, fau was one stop from making the final, inter miami made the playoffs last year and got Messi, and the Marlins have been of to good start so far. Miami sports have been on a tear so far the last 2 years but yet they get ranked 15
When was this video made???? How you gonna sleep on Miami at 16, Marlins ass I get it, Dolphins are super bowl contenders, Heat are in the finals as we speak, Panthers (not exactly Miami close enough) back to back playoff seasons currently also in the finals, Inter Miami just signed Messi ????? Like come on top5 at least.
The Packers should be included with Milwaukee. They're just as much a Milwaukee team as a Green Bay team, and wouldn't exist without Milwaukee.
Yeah I don't see many that live there rooting for the Bears....😉🤣
Where’s the women’s sports teams?
No MLS?
2:13. Bro the dbacks are the #1 seed in the entire national league
I disagree wholeheartedly about Minnesota...way too high on the list, should be #20. And they failed to mention the Vegas Aces and the Washington Mystics. Those cities should be higher on the list
And Of course he has to say that Justin Fields is all the Bears have. May be kinda true but I’m so sick of the Bears disrespect from TPS. Amazing video besides that.
Yesss Tampa bay has been doing good
I'm good with Pittsburgh a top 10
I was the 880th like
Heat 2023 NBA Finals 2022 was BOS GSW just correcting don't get mad
Cincy is way to low on this list. When talking about sports cities you can't just say the teams, you gotta include the culture and fans alongside it, THAT's what makes the city, the people behind the teams. Cincy has some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the US. I have lived in multiple cities on this list but Cincy is on the top in terms of fans. And even if you are just including teams. Your only counting Baseball, Football, and Baseball, and hockey Which is unfair for some cities cause they don't have all of those sports. Your forgot to mention FC and how their leading their conference right now by a significant margin. And the Reds aren't very good, but their like the Lions from a couple years ago, yeah they aren't the best record wise, but their exiting as h*** to watch and have a lot of really good young talent like Jonathan India, Elly De La Cruz, Matt McClain, and Spencer Steer. You gotta stop disrespecting Cincy like that.
The San Francisco Bay Area should be higher because (As a Giants Fan) The Oakland Athletics have a bigger presence of fans in the Bay Area but because if John Fisher The Oakland A's fans don't show up to games
As an A’s fan we just want competent ownership that cares about staying in the Bay Area.
Jets and Giants are not from NYC. They are in New Jersey
The Northern part of New Jersey is often considered part of the NYC metro area
But no one outside of a few in NJ considers those two as Jersey teams despite physically playing there.
Phili is really way too high as for only having a superbowl win which is good is not worthy enough for the number 3 spot. Not to mention the warriors, sf giants, and niners have much more accomplishments in recent time and they are lower
i’ll take 10 for seattle
Bruh I hate the royals after beating my Mets
Why you never make nba videos?
