How to Prepare Bird's Nest (燕窝) Singapore

Preparation of Dry Bird Nest (燕窝) - ShopatTDT.com.sg
Part 1
Soak in tap water over night or at least for a few hours.
Ensure that the bird nest are totally submerge in the water.
Wait till the bird nest expand then proceed to remove the dirty items, eg: feathers
Prepare some raw sugar.
Small cube of raw sugar are not so sweet.
Large cube raw sugar are sweeter.
For about 2 pieces of bird nest, this amount of small cube of raw sugar
For about 2 pieces of bird nest, this amount of large cube of raw sugar
Part 2
When the bird nest have already expanded, you can use a pincer to remove the feathers.
Note: do not break up the bird nest into pieces.
Part 3
Prepare 2 bowl of water for 2 pieces of bird nest
Add in the raw sugar first
Follow by Pandan leave to bring out the smell
Use slow cooker to boil the birdnest. Ensure the cooker has been heated up first.
Boil for 45-60mins.
Part 4
After 45-60 mins, this is the end product.
