LOL, $76,845 dollars for an XLT, that is a $30,000 dollar truck end of story.
Got a hot flash for you kiddo, the XLT and Silverado are about equal in price and equipment and they have been $30k or more for a decade
$107k? Not in this lifetime. FORD is nuts
No this is going to be normal since inflation can’t be stopped.
@@nimrod275 Maybe but if wages don't keep up with inflation then nobody's buying these things.
It's not just Ford, all of the Trucks are insane. Remember this guy is in Canada so prices are higher up there then in the States so a similar truck in the U.S. will be a few thousand less at least. My Boss just went looking at new trucks, and he said anything that was as nice as his 12 year old Tundra was over $80,000 for all the different trucks he looked at.
Drove by a ram dealership 112k for a ram 3500. I was laughing so hard. I said take 40% off, and then we can negotiate.
@@nimrod275 Inflation has been largely stopped. Anyway the truck price increases have nothing to do with inflation since the are up over 50% and the difference from the cheapest to most expensive is 100% more. No way all those gadgets cost $50k.
$107,405 dollars is a joke, only fools who are burying themselves in debt are stupid enough to buy these trucks, that Platinum Ford F150 is a $40,000 dollar truck end of story.
that is not usa price.
I will say that $40k for the Platinum is a bit low, but not that much. Given the equipment and trim level $55-65 k would be nearer
I rather use $107,000 to invest in a home. I live in a home. Not a stinking truck 🙄🤦♂️
I'm convinced that the pricing on trucks and SUVs were part of a "forced behaviors" initiative that failed. The EV market didn't take off and now they have to eat their over priced trucks.
That's a good thought
Ford is subsidizing its EV losses by selling high trim, high margin trucks at crazy prices.
@@jonathantaylor6926Agree.
No, ev v1 isn’t mature enough. Give me an EV that I can charge to 300 miles on 10 minutes and charger that can support it on the interstate and I’d get one.
100% true. Xlt and nice options cheaper than a work truck. = work truck is now i awesome nice truck !!! No joke my Drain and sewer guys have xlt crew cabs with nice paint and loaded ! Cheaper than work truck. Best work trucks 😅@jonathantaylor6926
120k for a truck????? I paid 125k for my house in GA in 2002 and it was brand new. WTF
This guy is in Canada. Canadian dollars are not US dollars
and it will last a lot longer than a Ford.
I don’t care what dollars it’s in, to high…
Wallet wisdom. Don/t buy what you can't af-ford.
Vehicle companies got used to "chip shortage" prices.
Plenty of chips for cell phones, video games, routers, flatscreens, tablets, laptops, etc... though 🤔
These prices are insane. I just bought a 2010 expedition limited, 45k miles, 5.4, with a very nice bumper to bumper warranty for 4 years or 55k miles. I paid total out the door $11,500. I could buy 9 of them for the price of 1 new one. Ford and the buyers are all 🤡
5.4 3 valve is trash. Make sure you keep up with your oil changes.
Which city did you get this deal in, if I may ask?
@@RichieRich7339 Baltimore County bought it at a Sheehy car dealer
@RP-xk8ji Yeah, people who are very hard on Motors say that, but I had an F150 with a 5.4, and it never gave me any issue and I put 256k miles on it and it still ran good when I got rid of it. So I think it is how you drive/treat it.
@buckjank my 5.4 with 2 valves per cylinder had 400k but the 5.4 3 valves per cylinder are known for issues due to small oil passages and cam phasers problem If you keep clean oil in them, they last a while. Most are sold cheap because it's a known issue that the motor can fail if proper oil intervals were not done.
The Ford XLT at 1:38 That stickers for $76,845 in Canada, has an MSRP of $62,640 here in Texas (Grapevine Ford), and currently is online at $51,395 with $10,750 of rebates. And yes it's a 4X4. They are selling at these prices but not as fast as they did pre-Covid.
There's an XLT at the dealership now that stickers for 85k here in canada
Your online price is not too far off from what passes for normal. The $62k sticker is within the realm of possibility and the online price is just about the normal price; only a bit too high,
just got a raise to $20/hr..gonna go buy me a 80k POS and live on the street cuz i cant afford rent.....lmao
A rear slider. Woo-hoo. Be still my beating heart. Nice shiny mirrors! This guy cracks me up. I can't decide if he's being sarcastic or serious. LOL.
With the cost of living, and affordability crisis we're currently in Mark, nobody can realistically afford Ford's over-priced junk! Jim Farley, same as Mary Barra has lost touch with reality! He is a dreadful C.E.O. and has NO idea what the average Ford consumer is really looking for. Ford leads the auto sector in recalls, quality is truly job none as they're trying to fix defective hardware issues on vehicle's with software updates, ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Thank you for doing another great video Mark, take care, cheers!
I must agree! The trucks are overweight, oversized, and the gas mileage is right back to the 50s with a Ram 3/4 ton getting 8 mpg city and 13 highway. They are going backwards.
I saw 2 bronco raptors yesterday in Long Beach CA, Had no idea what the price was, also starting to see more and more new fords on the street here, $76K for and XLT in insane, its NOT even a FX4, I dont know how these folks could afford these trucks, man
I really don't either, these prices are beyond ridiculous
They can't afford them. They're paying for that truck instead of saving for a house or investing for retirement.
@@d_all_in And are the first to complain because they can’t afford a house.
Who the heck buys them 😂 given that’s more any Land Rover
He's in Canada...they aren't that expensive lol
$122k for a Raptor WTF!!!!
It's not sales are down prices are too darn high. Guess they have to redeem money lost from the EV market.
What a sad waste instead of discounting them hugely I mean under 20$ grand, they are all gonna be recycled
I have ALWAYS been a Ford guy. Sadly with the experiences I've had with our 2021 F-150 and the way prices are now at the big 4 Truck builder's I am seriously looking at Silverado. They just give more realistic bang for lower buck.
Never buy any truck the year it goes through a major redesign. Fords was in 2021. I have a 2023 Lariat Coyote - no issues at all.
As long as people are paying these prices won't change
They aren’t and things are.
That pricing is lunacy.
It really is. It’s no wonder sales are down
the oil pump drive belt will cost you about 3k to change when it breaks and you lose all oil pressure at about 110k. The truck will shut down and have to be towed. V6s
Yes the Ford Ecosport too has a silly timing belt and oil pump belt setup which can wipe out the engine
I think the new Coyote V8's , use a belt driven oil pump, too. Correct me if I'm wrong.
My local ford dealer has a 2024 F-250SD Shelby Truck with a V8 gas for only $176,000.00. To think I thought the two F150 Lightings they had in stock last year for $97,000.00 was just insane.
it's interesting...within the memory time frame of a lot of us..176K would get you a Lamborghini Countach at one time.
They should make it $576,000 just for fun.
76k for a truck you cant even haul a picnic table in.ford execs really needs to stop their LSD use while at work.their obviously tripping on the job.
These prices and angry Karen’s paying for these vehicles is turning me off of the pickup/suv market
Back to a nice stick shift sedan for me
If you can find one, that is. Maybe Honda is still making one,
@@markvincent5992 I know, right lol
I really dig the Subaru Wrx
My 2004 Ford HD is currently having the frame repaired. I'll keep it forever.
Pushing the most expensive vehicles and removing anything cheaper is a corporate tactic I first noticed a year ago when grocery shopping at a walmart. Item after item I was looking for the generic brands like walmart's GV (Great Value) brand were nowhere to be seen, but front and center were the most expensive brands.
bernaysian sales tactics trained only in universities in marketing. theatre of the absurd.
@@murrayterry834 well said
i remember back when a six cylinder 1/2 ton full sized truck was the low end bottom scraper base model...now ya gotta beg for a V8...if you can even get one in your particular model.
These prices are insane! Worst of all, the fancy ones have all the sensors. When the rear side sensors fail the computer shuts the truck off. The repair is $5,000 a time, just to keep the truck running. Nope.
The F250 and F350 are a better choice of trucks for me, but that's crazy for those prices. Another great informative video Mark
Thanks. Yes I like the heavy duty trucks too but Ram has the best one with the. Cummins
Farley needs to go.
Farley will only leave on his own, at this juncture, the board will not fire him for many many reasons
I own a 1984 K20 4X4 5.7 LTR
4 SPEED two 20 gallon fuel tanks known as Saddle tanks. Edelbrock 4 barrel. 10 mpg. Paid 4500 dollars for it 5 years ago. Drove it to work today. LMMFAO!!!
Man, you guys get ripped off up north. Here in Texas, a '24 F-150 XLT 4WD Supercab with a 6.5' bed is $50K before taxes. Which, in my opinion, is still way too much for midline truck.
Those high prices are making Chinese made vehicles appealing for the masses. Or we are just going to stay home and watch the parade.
The high gas prices killed the truck and SUV market.😮
Yes that’s not helping at all
There was no sticker on trucks in early 1980s. Whatever you can get was good then, but not now
For a V6 engine Bronco lmfao. Get bent Ford. What a clown company.
Over 100K? Are they're crazy???
I think its where you are. I bought a 2023 F150 XLT with the FX4 package brand new for $48,500 here in Tennessee.
Wow, that’s not a terrible price
Don’t forget the luxury tax that adds 10% more to the cost of the vehicle plus you then have to file with the CRA every year for your vehicle and then pay the luxury taxes on any and all additions to your vehicle and if you don’t file every year even if you don’t add anything you get heavily fined.
Insane. Who could possibly afford that. Just 10 years ago you could get a 1/2 ton with v8, 4wd , with extended cab for just at 35000.
I’m seeing a lot of cars listed as used .. with zero miles… 10 grand off sticker… so they are selling cars and trucks … to themselves
Domestic vehicles::... let's put
Kool name and add 5k worth of add ons and mark it up 30k.... people will surely buy it just for the name.....lmao
Ford must have lost their minds. I ordered a RR in FEB. Its been "in production" for over 3 months. About to tell them to go fuck themselves. What kind of shit conpany cant build a truck in 3 months.
Excuse me sir, but WTF does the RR signify? I’m not familiar with that one
Government workers keep getting those raises while private sector keeps getting fooked
Wow. We bought our house two years ago mortgaged for just under 100-K. If it were a Ford I guess we would have had it paid off in 6 or so years. When I was a kid in the 80’s & 90’s a Rolls Royce was around 100-K so… 🤔…a new Lincoln Continental was in the 50K range and the top level Black Label Continentals were around 80K …but a couple of years later a Ford pickup is around 30K more than the highest, fanciest Lincoln Continental.
Im a ford guy but im not paying these new prices for a truck that is ridiculous come on ford do better
@4:10 that has been my reaction every time i look at car price.
Oh for the days of a reliable, functional, small, off-road capable pickup. All you have to do is go back to the 80s.....
What where the prices on these before the “ pandemic “ ?
I'm looking into buying thr new Ranger Raptor. Several dealers that I've talked to here in NJ are marking them up $5k-10k. If the market so bad why are they marking them up?
45k for a Maverick. Oh good golly we're in trouble. Trouble, Trouble, Trouble. Super duty trucks brand new used to cost that much. 🤦
Just thought I’d mention to the young folks that investing half a years salary into something guaranteed to depreciate in value every year? Not a good idea!!
Cybertruck sales are way up. And continues to grow. Teslas include nearly all options included in base price. There are a few options like different wheels some colors.
I used to make over $300k a year. I NEVER entertained buying a vehicle that expensive. I was in the top 3% of wage earners. People have to be eating ramen to drive these ridiculous trucks.
I see looking at purchase lists on used and even possibly new vehicles sometime odd. The vehicles are 0 or 1 or 2 owners but have 6, 8 and 12 sales. Many times lots are selling a vehicle to themselves over and over. I would guess for tax abuse/loop hole purposes.
I'll keep my 2004 Ford Ranger. Yes it's over 200,000 miles but paid for and it is easily repaired if need be. Cost me $19,000 brand spanking new
Based on this video and the electrification nonsense aka money black hole/pit. Per his comments on Ontario, how the Albertans have still managed to stay part of Canada completely shocks me. I can't believe they haven't seceded yet.
Yes it’s quite amazing really.
A Bronco Raptor for $122K? 😂
Ford can't sell the F series Trucks. Wait about a year and most of the analysts say they will be about 50% off.
What were the prices on these before the “ pandemic “ ?
I think you mean before sleepy Joe.
In 19 I picked up a f250 crew cab XLT 4x4 fx4 for 46k
@@eatdafat7101 😮 that is a tremendous difference! I’d rather ride a bicycle in -40 weather.
@@FAKEIT009 it was more than that. He probably live in the US. You can't compare US and Canadian price.
@@jonathanwerrell3897 Yes, I gave a price from the US in the CT.
I saw my first ad that showed for offers a 1.9 APR for 36 months on trucks. Give it a one more year once the 2nd mortgages run the music will stop just like after 2003 and 2004. I'm not seeing it any other way with the amount of debt and long-term debt compounded by interest rate issues. I think for will have to flex on prices of risk going BK as the electric market is going to pull them down to the brink. I think we have seen this movie save your powder.
You ever notice not one of these guys ever talk about the Ranger, it's one of Ford's trucks as well.
Nissan Frontier never looked so good.
Yall, I was just at a lot here in prosper tx yesterday. They are selling 2024 f150's 5.0 v8 , for 41k. They are offering 16k off right now. That one he just showed for 71k. A 3.5. That's a joke right? Here, a 5.0 v8, 4wheel drive, for 41k. Come on.
71K CAD = about $52k US
Interesting, in Guam we got tons of Ford 150 STX trims at our local Ford Dealer lot......
Once they buy it buyers remorse kick is when they find out the junk they just bought
Those Broncos look like they’ve been sitting there for months!
What about the Maverick, is that vehicle being killed off by Ford?
My 2005 Ford Escape with over 310,000 kms gets me from A to B and then back to A
I’ve said for many years they’re just wheels to get you from A to B and back to A. I haven’t had a car payment for 40 years. I drive a 2007 Toyota with over 200,000 miles. The last Toyota I had had close to 300,000 miles on it. As long as they are reliable I drive them.
That $107,000 is way above invoice.
The EV truck market is going to be delivery vans. Companies and contractors running shorter 5-7 day a week delivery/work routes. Also, for pickups, companies such as lawn care and pest control it makes perfect sense when you can save several thousand a month on fuel costs in a small town mid size fleet. I run 4 vehicles on regular 60-90 mile daily routes and we will probably switch to,EV vans next year.
Hell tell em to slap $193,000 on the Sticker MSRP price, what's the difference
Folks, these prices are in Canadian dollars. 😊
Indeed but it’s still at 79 percent. Still huge cash
A $100,000 truck financed for a 6 year loan with 10% interest will actually cost you $133,000 at the end of the loan. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m ok with these dealers sitting on these trucks forever. Until they make trucks people can afford, they won’t sell them. Gimme a nice truck, no screens and other useless BS for a decent price, maybe we’ll talk.
I agree, many choices from base to load should be available but priced accordingly and not so high line they are
What the world is coming to? These companies have gone totally nuts!
BUT I BOUGHT MY 2019 STX F150 for $38000 cdn NEW!!!!!!!
Awesome deal.....Adam is that you?

Yes they have
We call people fools that buy new trucks these days, but I can tell you! There are a lot of fools!!
Bragging rights LOL
High price but balanced by low interest rate offered by Ford or Low price with a high interest rate
That’s quite the marketing scheme

I bought my 2022 Maverick eco boost lariat, which came fully loaded, with every option, except the FX4 package, from a dealer for the MSRP (just a bit over $42,000). That same truck is now going for over $48,000!
I know it's a long time ago, but in 2015 I bought a new F250 XLT, crew cab 4X4 with the turbo diesel, for a bit under $50,000. At the time, Ford was offering $10,000 off the truck, without haggling.
How times have changed.
