If we are talking about classical zombies, the space marines could just act like the 3 hundred Spartans, “We are just going for a walk.” As they just pressed to just walk to the horizon as if walking through grass. A very Slanash version of grass.

They've got the worst luck of any loyalist chapter.
Granted, a lot of that bad luck came curtesy of the Inquisition.
Apparently, trying to call the Inquisition out on some of their more questionable acts makes you be very "unlucky".

Seems like way to many Minecraft zombies. Anything that slaughters black templar that easily shouldn't be used in those numbers, at least not when so many tge defenders are cannon fodder fantasy troops.
Ya, when he showed them hitting the crossbow troops they have some sick AOE attack that was killing like 20 per hit.
@@TheMalthas Yup pretty much the only thing that saved the defenders was Bad AI pathing and some troops stuck on the roof.
Way too many? When setting up these battles the most entertaining way is to make it as close as possible. Could've used more if you ask me
@@Unacknowledged86 Perhaps more spread out, so they would cause damage but not be an unstoppable tide. I think you underestimate just how OP these Zombies were in this match. Normally Black Templars are insanely tough and hard to kill units with these mods, they were going down so fast the zombies didn't even have to slow down.
The troop arrangements for the defenders was also pretty bad in many spots. Most the melee only units like the Black Templars were on hold in positions where they got no supporting fire from other units, never mind the troops just washed away by the river spawning in because he placed them in the river bed.
Yes the defenders won this match but 99% of that was due to the enemies glitching out and trying to kill units on top of buildings they couldn't reach. The other 1% was a few OP units like the Shotgun mechs on the one flank and the missile tanks.

I wouldn't have even sent an army. Seeing that many zombies would make me hit the exterminatus button immediately.
I think the cluster missiles actually hurt the bridge defence against the minecraft zombies. Didn't kill them but launched some over the frontline meaning more damage being dealt faster but not as mush damage being dealt back.
All you need is like a few hundred Adaptus Custodes and they would just slaughter all the zombies

No offense, but it does not matter how many zombies are there, as they could never penetrate Space Marine armor.
So when the ammo is empty, the Space Marines could kill the rest with their bare hands.

There's several instances in books, even in 30k when space marines were supposed to be at their apex, of nurgle zombies ripping, tearing, and peeling apart space marines. Using their weight and numbers to pin it down, while dozens of warp strength imbued zombies peel them open like sardines.
If I recall correctly it even happens relatively early in The Horus Heresy, I think book 2?

I like that you can drown in water or blood and you can make a damn with bodies and block rivers.
I believe Garviel Loken had just such a problem. He was battered and broken, neurologically damaged and only armed with his chainsword. He still absolutely massacred an entire township infected with Nurgles Blight. This is an easy win for 40k

Really not impressed, unfortunately the Minecraft zombies were disappointing given how wide their swings are, took out a bunch of units that weren't on the front line and couldn't respond
Did the minecraft zombies have an aoe or explode in contact ability? Swathes of troops were dying at the same time as soon as they were made contact.

I've been on and off with Warhammer and Warhammer 40K since the 1980s, but whenever I do check out, it's always either Nurgle or the Orks that bring me back. I get through a lot of green paint lol.

Lore wise (not table top stats), unarmed "human" combatants could only kill a space marine in this battle situation by crushing and suffocating a space marine under the sheer volume of dead bodies piled ontop of them. The armor plating on a space marine isn't even normal steel. How many broken fists would it take to blow a hole in steel girders?
Pointless test as space marines would decimate them easily even if they were fast moving zombies.
The marines have super strength and speed, weapons that would kill multiple enemies at a time and the zombies wouldn’t even be able to penetrate the ceremite armour.

one of the funnier crossovers I've seen work genuinely well with 40k is RWBY of all things...as weird as it sounds if you opened up a chaos invasion portal on a random point on remnant not only would it fail to accomplish anything of note there is a solid chance that the natives would legitimately _fail to notice_ because the grim wiped them out as a matter of course. on the flip side they would *LOVE* to get a population of Orks on the planet almost as much as the Orks would love living there: it'd take a good bit of work to get them up to par but they _could_ adapt quite well if they're put into circumstances where they can get started and there are few things more effective against grim than an army of hard to kill troops that find true joy in fighting them...might even help the people of remnant since they are canonically horribly misusing their own power system ←the foundations of how they use and more to the point _think about_ Aura come from Oz...who took less than a second's look at it and decided that Aura was a horribly crippled version of the old magic system and as a result has them thinking of it as a form of energy with an interaction system based on identity when the actual mechanics are much closer to the Aura user straight up overwriting reality with their own interpretation of it.
oh! right! another little serendipitous detail: the original timeline for Remnant's history was that everything went to hell roughly 40000 years ago, iirc they shaved a zero off of that though frankly I haven't watched much past season...I think 4?
To be fair to Oz, Aura IS a severely-weakened version of magic. The more reality-rewriting aspects are completely and utterly locked out to the average user. The closest MOST get is a Semblance, which is basically a singular spell unique to said individual; but Semblances are RARE, most aura users never even build up enough Aura level to even have access to one at all.
From there, you have the odd mystic or two, who figured out at least some level of basic magic through sheer luck or raw skill. But that kind of magic takes a heavy draw on Aura reserves so the only ones even capable of doing casting already are at heroic status as-is. The next-most available magic are the goddamn Maidens, and there can literally only be four of them unless Oz wants to perma-weaken himself further. Outside of that, only Oz and Salem have access to true magic/reality warping.
Well, there are also the Relics, those are technically more common than Oz and Salem, but can't really be used well thanks to the usual Mcguffin tropes. And yes, there is Dust, but that is a limited-ish resource: unless they can find more mages to give dinosaur treatment to, they ain't getting any more deposits. Not unless they figure out how to pulp Orks...
...oh dear lord they could potentially figure out how to turn Ork spores into renewable Dust farms...
@@GeneGear that's the thing: the entire reason it works like that is because _that is how they think it works_ the powerset quite literally works however the user thinks it does not just in what it can be used to do and how it can do it but even in more fundamental things like, for instance, the idea that it can run out.
Ozma did more damage to the people of remnant than Salem ever did and I say that as one of the people who believe that the Grimm would eat a chaos invasion from 40k for breakfast so hard and fast that the denizens of remnant likely wouldn't even notice it happening unless it started in the middle of a city, and even then it's not like demons are dangerous enough to call huntsmen or even the police/military for when "noncombatant civilians" are regularly shown to be low-end bullettimers (can see shots happening reasonably well but can only move a few inches relative to the bullet in a "guns being used indoors" timeframe) who can take a rocket launcher to the face and not only survive but be more annoyed about the mess that made of the wall behind them than any injuries from the rocket.

@@evernewb2073 The only thing Ozma did wrong was underestimate how utterly batshit insane Salem was, and he ALMOST succeeded in at least pacifying the literally-immortal god-defying superbitch with the loving family she always wanted. No, fault with the setting lies squarely and solely with the Brothers for throwing a tantrum after the person who tricked them fair and square went on to trick whole nations after they did...absolutely nothing to punish her for her devious behavior; then killing everyone else EXCEPT the trickster for it all, leaving behind someone literally unkillable to stew in her own hatred and loneliness until humanity re-evolved from exterminatus-surving microbacteria. Salem alone wouldn't just survive the 40K setting, she'd THRIVE, and would be a legitimate threat to even longstanding heroes of the setting. Ozma did the best he could with a challenge curve that makes EVE ONLINE look casual.
Salem. Literally. Cannot. Die. AND is the strongest magic user...EVER. She could single-handedly revitalize the entire planet...if she would just stop being so genocidal. Hell, it is even implied she can choose her respawn point freely, so you can't even seal her easily since she'll just kill-spawn herself to get out of whatever box you try to put her in. She isn't just practically a god, but skill enough in the mundane to make actual gods ragequit their jobs.
On that note, most of the characters in the show are well above average in terms of Aura ability. The true, actually average joe is a step-down from S1 Jaun, as at the start he literally didn't have his Aura unlocked at the time when the show started. Most people do not have Aura at all, and die like mortals...but when Aura can be activated by anyone with the right skillsets, there are ZERO reasons why EVERYONE isn't mandatory-unlocked after a certain age. It turns truly average people who don't train into low-level brutes at-minimum, which has all kinds of applications well beyond just combat.
The last thing to note is Bloodlines, which...is actually fairly standard mage bullshit. Some lineages are fancier than others, which grants access to unique traits. Jaun and Ruby are the two most notable examples, with Jaun being the descendant of one of Ozma's particularly powerful incarnations, while Ruby is of the Silver-Eye lineage. There is implications these lineages come from Ozma's children (from having so many trysts over the lifetimes).
This is not to say that people are unable to develop "true magic" from Aura alone, just that it is supremely difficult and most people just lack the mojo, or the inclination, to learn. Now, if there were, say, some kind of outside source that could give it a lil' kickstart...
@@GeneGear on the "why doesn't *everyone* have aura?!?!?" thing the word of devs on that is that aura users are on average a lot less efficient in terms of food-goes-in-work-comes-out which...frankly does not even remotely match what we see but we do have to at least believe that that is the in-setting official statement for why awakened auras are not the standard even in their militaries let alone the entire population despite them living on a hellworld that they know for a fact is actively trying to kill _specifically_ them. This even includes active-combat groups living outside the walls like White Fang divisions and bandit gangs, though they do appear to have MUCH higher percentages than the cities.
that said people with an inactive aura still get significant passive benefits from the strength of it and the "humans" of the setting are just straight up biologically WAY outside realworld baseline (including faunus in that just to be clear) or even the standards of "normal humans" in your average manga setting. that thing with the rocket launcher wasn't a random example...though I believe in the actually animated example they were hit in the chest not the face and their response was to take a moment to assess the situation then decide to pretend to pass out possibly in an active effort to de-escalate a pointless fight that was wrecking their place of employment oooor possibly just deciding the rocket to the chest was a good enough excuse to disengage without getting yelled at for it later ("pretend" uncertain but supported by them being on their feet and cleaning up debris a minute later starting a few seconds after the situation had calmed down).

Because Demons in 40k and in War Hammer Fantasy are Supost to be the exactly the same things. I like to Imagine that War Hammer Fantasy races to be mini Demi gods, to be mortal men who take on demons in melee and with Arrows, like the Greek gods of old tails of Earth/Terra.

I like your work, but am disappointed by this video. It's annoying to see battles decided by glitches and for the user allow them to continue. The marines that were in unreached places ruined the battle flow and made the video a lot worse as a result.
Troop placement in general was pretty bad. No regard for where they would spawn or anything. Half the black templars would been far better off on guard or attack mode
